The WYNDHAM Family
They are not anti-magic. They are wise enough to see the value in magic and the strength it can bring to Lorendale. What they disagree with is the idea of allowing gifted people to be uncollared and their gifts being able to used against whoever they choose, including against their own people, as well as them not forced to use their gifts to benefit the Kingdom. This was only proven to them when so few gifted people ended up helping in the war with Coheed, which ended in the death of their father/husband Alden.
- Family Oriented
Family is the most important thing. The children are expected to support their siblings, to be there to 'rescue' them when they are having a hard time. When one of the siblings gets married the new spouse moves into the Wyndham Estate, so they are all still together living under the same roof. Blythe keeps them together and rules over the house.
The Wyndham children were taught to value family, prestige, pure blood (non magic), and being your ideal self (taking care of your mind and body to perfection). They are given the best of private education via the best tutors that money can buy. Most were trained combatively by their father or other tutors and encouraged to experience life as a knight in the young years even if they don't continue with that.
The head of the Wyndham family makes all major decisions (and even some more minor ones). They approve of marriages and occupation choices. The role is placed upon the eldest living member of the family by blood (not marriage).
Typical for Lorendale. The age of maturity is 16. When Wyndhams turn 16 they are celebrated with a "coming out" party (for both men and women). They still cannot marry until the age of 18, giving them two years to present themselves after joining the world as an adult.
Advantageous marriages are the most important for the Wyndhams. As Counts/Countesses they are right in the middle as far as nobility rank goes, so marrying with the intent to better their family is a top priority. If they find love on the way then that is certainly celebrated, but arranged marriages are common for the family.
Blythe is the head of the family.
Occupation varies greatly but is it expected that they do something that is appropriate for someone of their rank. The closer to the governing power they can get the better. While most of the children were trained as knights, most are encouraged into political careers more than military careers.
The Wyndhams are Counts and Countesses.
LAND & WEALTH
The Wyndhams are a wealthy family that have inherited their wealth over many generations through mostly entrepreneurship. While not at the level of Marquis' or Dukes, the Wyndham family live a life of plush comforts as much as their hearts desire. Inside the decorative but secure gate their estate is beautiful with sprawling lawns, immaculate gardens, and expensive fountains. The estate is plenty large enough to fit their entire family comfortably and they pull out all the stops for lavish parties a few times a year.

NPC FAMILY INFORMATION
ELLIJAY'S NPC FAMILY
Agreeable. Kind. Loves her children more than anyone or anything in the world, even her own freedom. She has always been a perfect daughter-in-law and sister-in-law, ever-patient, ever honest, laughing when appropriate, and keeping quiet when it's best. She was likely the most beloved of all the sister-in-laws...until she came forward and admitted to being a gifted, hoping that the changed law would cause her family to accept her. She was dead wrong. They have since ostracized her, though she has been allowed to remain at the estate to care for the children for now. She was kicked out of the house and is assumed deceased by society.

Blythe married Alden when she was only 17. When they began to have children Blythe was often over protective of them, it eventually morphed into more of a controlling nature. She didn't like to leave anything up to to chance and expected a lot of her children. She loved them all passionately, it was hard for her when she realized she finally needed to stop having children, despite having so many. She had wanted more, but it was no longer healthy for her to do so. Instead she put in every effort to turn her kids into the best of the best humans they could be.
Alden died during winter in battle against Coheed during Queen Nya's rule, leaving a huge hole in their family and Blythe as a single mother.
Ellijay was killed, rumored to have been done by a Gifted.
- The Wyndham Fox Hunt: Every fall, a huge event for Loren hosted by the Wyndhams.
Q & A:Q: What behavior does Blythe expect of her children should they encounter a gifted?
A: Dismissal. She would never allow her children to be outwardly vicious in a public setting, that would not be very gentlemanly/ladylike. But they would look down their nose at them, refuse to engage unless absolutely necessary, and be out of their presence as quickly as possible.
Q: Is the same behavior expected if they encounter a commoner?
A: No, as long as they are not gifted then the feeling would be more pity. She would encourage charity towards those less unfortunate (makes them look good), but would keep distance enough so that close friends and certainly not romantic partners would be commoners. She pushes her children to move UP the ladder, not down.
Q: What's the family's stance on Marj as queen?
A: Disagreeable. They were not at all happy when Nya made gifteds legal. To have a gifted on the throne is heresy. They are embarrassed by Lorendale right now despite being generally patriotic for their Kingdom. They would be more encouraged to try to change things in an underground way, would not want to put their family at risk by opening despising the Queen.
Q: What about behavior with each other? Are they expected to get along? What if they don't?
A: The value of family is definitely pushed for them. So they would be pressured to offer their siblings support and help when needed, to have their backs, to put them above other non-family members. Of course siblings may very well fight and argue but your family is always your family and Blythe expects them to remember that always.
Q: Which distant relative do they all favor with the blue eyes?
A: Both Alden's parents had blue eyes. (Alden's grandfather had brown eyes which is how HE inherited that)
Q: Who did the family support in the heir race?
A: Literally all of the heirs were supportive of gifteds. This made things challenging for the Wyndhams in who to support. Ultimately they chose to support Cassian who had the most, apparent, conservative view on gifteds and his right to the crown through his father. The Wyndhams believe in tradition.
Q: Is there a trend of Blythe getting pregnant during certain seasons? IE: Like normally in the spring so then she has winter babies?
A: Oh that's a great question! Especially considering how close most of the kids are. We'll say most of them are born in the spring.
Q: Do the Wyndhams tend to fall into a certain alignment?
A: I think they tend to lean more towards lawful or neutral over chaotic. And probably good or neutral. I don't really see evil as part of them, but I'm not going to nit pick about alignment either as long as the family dynamics are taken into account in their apps.
