Below you will find an alphabetized record of the gifts currently played on the site. New gifted characters should not have gifts that replicate or even resemble pre-existing gifts. If you need assistance thinking up something new, do not hesitate to reach out to a member of our staff. Some gifts are marked as "legacy gifts". These gifts belong to characters who are deceased or no longer played, but whose gift occupied a meaningful place in the history of Terra Nova. Because of their significance, these gifts remain reserved and cannot be reused by another player. AIR MANIPULATION [ Bryce Allemeade ] *Legacy gift*
Air Elementalist. Aerokinesis. The ability to manipulate and control air. This includes moving small or large objects, taming the wind, manipulating the oxygen in lungs, flying, and in the case of this gifted, becoming air itself. Though essentially still corporeal, the gifted takes on the physical qualities of air itself, becoming invisible to the human eye and capable of crossing long distances like a current of air carried on a strong wind.
AURA MANIPULATION [ Ikisina Navarro ]
Ability to see the auras of others, or their spiritual essence. The aura can be manipulated to increase their natural abilities, retract and repel another person’s aura, or project their aura.
AURA MANIPULATION (SELF) [ Ikisina Navarro ]
It is the ability to see ones own aura and manipulate it to enhance ones own abilities, either strength, speed, sight to name a few. During this she can only enhance one ability at a time, so they would need to think about the enhancement they are granting themselves. The enhancement therefore cannot be stacked on top on each other. To be able to manipulate ones aura, they have to see apart of their body so either hand or reflection of themself in a reflection.Sina will be able to see a white glow around their self to represent their "Aura".
BARRIER GENERATION [ @iliana ]
The ability to create force fields that defend from physical and magical attacks. They typically manifest in the form of an orb around Iliana, size ranging based on her effort, though she can also shape them into shields or a wall, and they can be thrown like discs. They are destroyed after taking multiple powerful attacks, and they falter when Iliana’s resolve to maintain them falters.
BLOOD MANIPULATION [ Hiram Eldouir ]
Hemokinesis, the ability to manipulate blood, whether inside or outside of the body. The manipulated blood can act as a weapon to attack (similar to pressurized water), but a sword formed from blood cannot withstand a sword made of metal. This gifted can clot blood to stop the bleeding of wounds, and inflict their enemies with blood clots to create numbness, swelling, and pain.
BLOOD REGENERATION [ Hiram Eldouir ]
Blood that is an agent of healing. It can be shed onto a wound, or consumed by the wounded individual, and it will swiftly act to heal damage suffered. The blood can heal physical damage of any kind--cuts, stabs, broken bones, disease, or poison in one's system. It cannot cause body parts to regenerate. The amount of deep healing done directly depends on the amount of blood that is consumed.
BLOOD TELEPORTATION [ Hiram Eldouir ]
The ability to teleport between any two large enough concentrations of blood. Typically pools of blood are used as the enter and exit points, but employing the use of living things is also an option. This gifted melts into the blood, becoming blood itself in the seconds before disappearing, and then rises up to the destination as a figure of blood, materializing seconds after arriving.
BODY ALTERNATION / MANIPULATION [ @yeva ]
The ability to manipulate/alter one's body at will. Examples include growing extra parts wherever on her body or out of her body that absorbs back into her body when she has no more use for them. The more she makes at once or the faster she makes them, the more... wrong they might look as her focus is on mass production as opposed to making them look right.
BONE MANIPULATION [ @oriana ]
Osteokinesis is the ability to manipulate bones, inside or outside of the body, human or animal. Breaking, mending, and growing the osseous structure bends as she commands it. The smaller the bone the easier it is, the denser it is the more effort it requires.
DECAY MANIPULATION [ Tallis Scorza ]
The ability to manipulate the decay of matter. This can look like causing someone's arm to rot off their body in seconds, causing a person to whither into old age and die right before her eyes, a stone wall to erode away and break into dust, or a barn to decompose all the way down into soil and rusted metal.
DRAGON SHAPESHIFTER [ Raine Eldouir (Deceased) ] *Legacy gift*
The ability to shapeshift into a massive, venomous dragon. It's dense scales are impervious to blades and arrows, the weapons barely scratching the surface. The dragon can breathe fire and possesses saliva that is very acidic which will melt and corrode any material. The dragon has sharp claws and teeth, as well as a massive tail. This gifted is able to partially shift.
ENERGY MANIPULATION [ @myla ]
The ability to create, shape, and manipulate energy. It can come in many forms that manifest in several different ways. The energy can be used to move and lift objects, send bursts of energy towards an enemy in battle to blast them back, catch physical magical attacks and force them away, and even pull energy from a person on contact. It requires focus on the task at hand to properly manage the ability, and can quickly descend into uncontrolled chaos.
FIRE MANIPULATION [ Santiana DeCarlo ]
The ability to summon fire at will from one's hands, mouth, just about anywhere, and control it, even if it was already existing. Fire does not harm them, they can literally set themselves ablaze and be fine.
ICE ELEMENTALIST [ @adeline ]
An ice elementalist has a wide range of abilities through her manipulation of ice. She cannot manipulate liquid water, however, she can create ice from liquid water. She can grow more ice from already existing ice as well, controlling where it goes and in what shape it forms. Some specific examples of what she could do, beyond simply growing and forming ice: form ice around someone who is in a body of water, form ice across a body of water, throw water on someone from a bucket and turn the water into ice to trap them.
INVULNERABILITY [ Willa Wren ]
The ability to survive any form of physical onslaught, as the skin cannot be penetrated or burned, and the bones cannot break. This gifted can still bruise and feel pain when that which assaults is mammoth is size or weight, and magic that attacks from the inside is still effective, though anything that would require first "breaking in" will not be successful.
LAVA MONSTER [ Azazel Eldouir ]
The ability to turn into a large 15-foot-tall lava monster with skin made of cracked volcanic magma and huge glowing yellow eyes. He has the ability to create huge balls of lava to toss as well as streams of lava from his mouth toward his enemies. He has 5x the strength of a typical man and while a tad slower than the average human he can run long distances at great speeds because of the length of his strides. In the process of shifting his skin will burn hot enough to glow red hot and can leave a scarring level of burn with his touch.
LEVIATHAN SHAPESHIFTER [ Raine Eldouir (Deceased) ] *Legacy gift*
The ability to shapeshift into a leviathan. This monstrous sea serpent stretches to nearly one hundred feet in length when uncoiled. This creature has granted the gifted the ability to breathe underwater in partial and whole shifts, and can spit boiling water and steam.
MAGIC DETECTION [ Florina Bellerose ]
The ability to detect magic. The user can judge magical aptitude, pinpoint magic being used within a mile vicinity, and even detect when potent magic has formerly been used in a space. The magic may originate from a living thing or from an object, it does not matter. There is no restriction to the kind of magic that the user can detect. The weakness is the spatial awareness limitation, and while the user can detect the presence of magic, they cannot detect the specific kind of magic being used.
METAL MANIPULATION [ Othello Allemeade ]
Metalkinesis, the mental control over magnetism and the manipulation of both ferrous and nonferrous metal. Concentration is required, and this gifted's physical and mental state greatly affect their aptitude for control.
OBJECT MORPHING [ Gianna Pasqualin ]
The ability to morph one's form into any familiar object, even to the extent of functioning as that object. The gifted may only become a single object at a time, though they may possess different parts within the makeup of a single object (i.e. medieval machines such as a crossbow).
PLANT MANIPULATION [ Remiel Allemeade ]
Chlorokinesis is the ability to summon and manipulate plants and vegetation. This gifted can control and manipulate wood, rock soil, roots, fruits, flowers, and even moss found in a natural field or habitat. This gifted can cause plants to grow, move, attack, or even rise from the soil. The gift can be used for defense and support cause flowers and other plants to bloom instantaneously, manipulate tree branches to use them as whip-like weapons, control spores and pollen, and bring plants back to life and make them sprout seeds/fruits/berries. The gift takes a physical toll, and causes the gifted to age more quickly.
PSYCHIC ABSORPTION [ Honora Allemeade ]
The ability to draw psychic energy from any living being. Psychic energy encompasses a range of things, including memories, feelings, thoughts, and impressions. After drawing the memory/thought/feeling of the target to the surface, the gifted experiences that memory/thought/feeling as if it were their own. They can choose then to either leave the memory/thought/feeling with the target, or draw it out of them entirely so that they will no longer remember the memory/thought/feeling. It is strongest with skin-to-skin contact, locking the subject into an almost magnetic hold that is difficult to break free from. The ease with which it can be drawn out depends on the mental and emotional strength of the target. Extended or difficult draws of psychic energy are excruciatingly painful for the target. Prolonged or out of control drains can cause temporary or permanent psychological damage to the target.
PSYCHIC ENERGY EMISSION [ Honora Allemeade ]
The ability to implant or emit a memory/vision/thought/feeling, either one that she has absorbed from another source or created from scratch.
REGENERATION [ Cezar Scorza ]
The ability to control the regeneration process (renewal, restoration, tissue growth) on a cellular level. The ability to speed or slow the rate of regeneration, as well as where and what will regenerate.
SIGHT MANIPULATION [ @sebastian ]
The ability to manipulate the visual perception of those around him. Individuals with this gift can control what people (either a single person or multiple people) see - or don’t see - at will. For example, one can blind by generating a bright light or by removing a target’s sight entirely. Any illusions that he conjures appear realistic, but if they are of a preexisting subject, they may be less accurate if he hasn’t seen the subject before.
SOUND MANIPULATION [ @severine ]
The ability to create, manipulate or eliminate sound waves in various ways. This includes mimicry, distortion, volume, speed, and the intensity of the sound. The gifted can choose for these effects to be heard by a single person or by multiple people, though the quality and intensity of the effects would be lessened in larger groups, especially in open areas. The gifted cannot mimic sounds or voices they have not heard before.
SPIDER PHYSIOLOGY [ Acacia Scorza ]
The power to possess the abilities of a spider, including a poisonous bite, the ability to spin spiderwebs, enhanced strength, enhanced eyesight/dark vision, and the ability to crawl up walls.
TELEKINESIS [ Elena Eldouir ]
The ability to manipulate objects and matter with the mind. This gifted can move or halt objects or people with a thought. This is often accompanied by hand movements, especially with larger objects. The larger the object the more effort it takes and too much will cause a nose bleed, loss of consciousness, a coma, or even death.

The ability to stop or even rewind time. The gifted can rewind time for a few minutes or pause time for what - to them - seems like a few minutes.
WEATHER MANIPULATION [ Bryce Allemeade ] *Legacy gift*
The ability to manipulate the weather, calling forth a storm of rain and thunder and lightning at will, and darkening the clouds themselves at command. This gifted can summon a hurricane or blizzard under the right conditions, and the manipulated tornados are more potent and virulent than ever.
