[ Made for Hugh Wyndham ]
Romilly was nearing the end of her studies and had been considering a different career path than politics. She wasn't bold enough for such a thing, not able to speak her mind all the time and be such a go-getter. So instead, she had considered something that she was always good at. Great at really. Superb. A musician, but mainly she could be a tutor or teacher with it. She knew enough instruments and had enough years of training and even wrote her own music. So she had wondered up to the castle to meet with a few others already in the career and see how they went about it exactly. Plenty of them seemed willing to vouch for her.
It was a good feeling, her heart light and not heavy as she turned down the hall. Her dress in a deep red color as she felt the light material swish around her legs, her hair swaying with each step as she had left it half down for the day. She had been taking a turn and found herself stunned to her spot as she caught a familiar voice coming towards her. Hugh. She had not seen him since his engagement party. Nor did she think she could handle seeing him. Every part of her ached for him and her mind told her to run. To flee. And she turned straight into the first door she found unlocked, her hands shaking as she closed the door as quietly as possible. She could wait there, in the empty office, for a few minutes to ensure he was long gone before she'd make her leave.
How could she forget that he worked up there? She should have made sure he was off or something. She moved to stare at some of the books that lined the wall in the office she had entered and calmed her breathing. That was, until the door behind her opened. She gasped and spun quickly towards the person who entered, her hand flying to her throat to almost hold back the startled noise that wanted to roll out. Her heart hammering wildly in her chest as she realized exactly who she was staring at: Hugh Wyndham. Her large eyes were even wider with surprise and she suddenly forgot how to breathe.
