The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

No, Ellison was definitely the underestimated one in the room. She was a captain, sure. But that didn't meant that the Morrigan was blind or incapable. And as far as what she had just heard... She shook her head.
"Being too defensive will tip her off." She was disagreeing with Conall, but that was surely no surprise to anyone in the room. But this wasn't done out of spite or being stubborn. This was about survival and military tactics. "Nery cannot live at my side and just silently do it. We cannot shift our partners without military reasons. Magda is not an idiot. But neither are we." She said, pushing away from the wall as she looked over her three siblings before she glanced out the window.
"No, we are to carry on. As if everything is fine. Sure," She looked back over her shoulder at them, "Notice father is acting strange with her. She probably expects that. Don't shy away from it. I agree, keep to drinks you bring yourself or you know where it came from." She took a deep breath and then looked to Rosa. "Partner with the staff in the house. Whenever Magda leaves father... tell them to not clear the wine cups or food. I want us testing it for potions that she might be slipping in so we can try and counter it. Conall..." She looked to him. "I'd start to figure out what exactly she has with the Winters. How much they would back her over us."
"Lio..." Her eyes met her brothers. Silent for a moment before she took a deep breath. "We need you and Quenya back. When can we expect you?" Because the more there were of them, sure, the more she could target, but there was also safety in numbers. And another soldier would be exactly what she would want and one who she trusted deeply.

She didn't quite shrink down but she had been expecting some sort of condemnation or something because she'd said she'd rejected a woman's advances simply because of who she was and not that it was a woman. Instead, there wasn't though that could also be because of everything else that was happening as well. When Conall spoke, she looked up and met his gaze. Defense, she could do that, knew her way around her knives enough. But then Elli spoke, and it made sense too.
"Yeah, I can do that." Her eyes flicked between each of her siblings. "I have the space in my cottage to set up a testing station, a dedicated table for it." If she could do something to help, she absolutely would.

he listened to Conall trying to come up with a way to keep everyone safe and when he said about him and Quen staying were they where he didnt think that was a good idea, if Magda found out that they all had her in the frame for Theos death god knows what she would try and do next, she had already managed to work her way round his brother and also his little sister, Rosa might have been good with spells and potions but she wasnt a fighter and he couldnt stay away known she could get hurt,
before he could reply to Conall Ellison had other things to say some she agreed with the things he said others she didnt, he looked towards her when he heard his name before being asked when he was coming back, all he really needed to do was tie up the stuff on the farm and get Quen, they had planned on coming back soon anyway so now would do,"il head back tonight and get Quen, were not that far away from here so we could be back tomorrow, the day after at the latest"
he looked at Rosa when she said about her setting up a lab in her home, he wasnt sure sure if her being there on her own for the while was good, Ellison had ben and her wolf, not that would need both of them, he had Quen and Conall had, well everyone around him, even tho Rosa had Fabian he still didnt know him well enough,
"Rosa why dont you stay here at nights again insted of your place, do what you need to do during the day there and come here at nights, if are are here at least someone can keep an eye on you, im not to keen on you being there on your own"

Conall watched Ellison as she openly over rode his ideas and he just smiled. Damn shame she wasn't born a man, she'd make an amazing heir, her intelligence outweighed many of the men's that he knew. He nodded in silence at her suggestion to find out exactly what Magda has with the Winter's, that would be fun, he thought as he clenched his jaw and listened to her orders to the rest of the family.
He turned his eyes to Rosa as she mentioned setting up a station in her cottage for testing, he did not like that in the slightest, but Liono addressed his concerns before he needed to, suggesting she stay in the manor at night. "I agree, for the moment I'd rather you be where we are. You can set up here, or I will clear out another study for you, one Magda won't go to, should she come after us."
He sighed…. Thinking about the blood bond. He shook his head, may as well come out with it now so they'd know what they were dealing with..
"Lord Winter's, Lord Howell, Magda and I are part of a blood pact. So Lord Winter's will not side with us over Magda, nor the other way around I suspect. Regardless of our disdain for her, she still has the ultimate goal of getting Cassian off the throne, we just need to get her pushed off onto some other family and keep her away from our father" He waited for the backlash he was about to receive.
Ellison practically started steaming from her corner of the room. Had this been in a military setting, she would have been as cool as the Hiems air. But here? With family? Listening to things just continuously get worse each time someone seemed to open her mouth, she was about to explode. "Conall," her voice was low as she continue, "What in the flying fuck have you done?" Their operation was supposed to be quiet. The words not spoke out loud for others, just gently leading them to fall in line with the Morrigan's.
But a blood pact?! Whatever that was... all she could assume was once again, Magda had dipped her fingers too far into the family jar and now she was going to have to play clean up. Her eyes screwed shut for a moment. "Stay away from her. All of you." She bit out. Opening her bright eyes to hit each one with a hard look. "Look for potions." She pointed at Rosa. "I will assist you." Because Ellison, most might have forgotten, was a master in potions. Not just a sword. Then she looked back to Liono, "Get home. If father won't allow you here... then come see me." She had a feeling Ben wouldn't fight too hard if needed. Though Adder most definitely opened his home to Liono when they'd return.
Then she came to Conall. "Stay away from Magda." And with that, Ellison surged forward, like a rip current that would take everything down that got in her way as she moved towards the door. "I'll be in father's study for a little... then I will go home." she stopped at the door. Her hand resting on the cool metal of the handle. "If she touches any of you, or Ben," she looked over her shoulder at them, a darkness filling her face, "I will do everything in my power to end her." Her hand gripped the door handle and unlocked it, yanking it hard as she left the room and slammed the door behind her. A touch rougher than she had meant to, but it wasn't loud enough to wake the house.
Ellison would make her way to her father's study and start digging after she made sure he was not in there. If any sibling came to join her, she'd remain silent. Looking for anything, any item that could be cursed, taking samples from every liquid in his bar, anything she could. She'd stop Magda. She would do everything in her power if what they all said was true. If this wasn't something else.

Rosamere looked between Liono and Conall before nodding. It made sense, being somewhere in the house where Conall could have someone around to keep an eye on her even if it meant that some of her own freedoms for a bit would probably be curtailed. So she would have to be careful with everything that she did until they could finally do whatever was needed to be done to protect their family from Magda. When Ellison's hard gaze fell to her next, she tried to meet her gaze without flinching but she wasn't exactly successful as she winced anyway. Still, she nodded in agreement as she reached up to try to dry her eyes as the tears dried up.
Ellison's parting statement, that she would come for Magda if she came for any of them, rooted her to the couch for a moment before she ultimately followed her older sister out the door. Though she paused to look back at her brother, eyes red from crying and a little tiredness peaking through. "I'm going to help Elli before she goes." Her voice was quiet and then she slipped out of the room to catch up with Ellison.
Quietly, Rosamere fell in step with Ellison and followed her into the study. She would offer what assistance she could and following her lead in picking apart their father's study. While she hadn't screwed up as badly as her oldest brother seemed to, she still screwed up anyway no matter how unintentionally. And she wanted to make up for it and do what she could to help the family get out from whatever hold Magda apparently had on them. As they worked through the study, plans for potions running through her head that she would get started on tomorrow. Brewing anything right now would be a very bad idea but she could at least plan ahead. If some of those potions in mind were more offensive, well, she didn't like the idea of anyone getting their claws into her family and she would do everything in her power to prevent that from happening ever again if she could help it.

Ellison nearly hissed his name and he lifted his steel gray eyes to match her own as she asked what he’d done. He clenched his jaw slightly before he spoke. ”I did what I thought would be best for our cause and for our family. We can not make the changes we want alone, we needed ally’s, I did my best to secure good ones.” he said softly, attempting to keep his normal sharpness out of his tone, more than happy to let Ellison decide the next steps, perhaps she would have better ideas than he obviously had. He nodded as she ordered each of them to stay away from Magda, if she thought he hadn’t been doing his best to do just that, she was crazy.
She ordered Rosa to look for potions and advised she would help her, then she turned to Liono and advised him to get home. Conall turned his eyes to the ground, jaw still clenched as she made her orders, until he could almost feel her eyes on him. He looked to her and she snapped at him to stay away from Magda. No problem trying at least, it was what he’d been doing for the last few months at any rate, and he'd been successful this far. Ellison turned on the spot and headed for the door, stopping once her hand hit the handle and a warning was elicited from her mouth that had even his skin crawling with the venom it contained.
And then she was gone with a yank and a slam of the door and he shook his head slightly before looking to Rosamere as she headed for the door. His princess whose eyes were red with tears let them know she was going to help Ellison and then slipped out of the room quickly. Sweet Rosamere was far to gentle for this rough world, he thought to himself before he turned his eyes to Liono who now just had fuel added to the fire of hatred for him no doubt. Conall simply shook his head and looked to his hands in his lap and waited for the lashing.

Lio stood there not know what to say to Conall when he said he made a blood pack with her and the other loads, his eyes were fixed on his as the only thing he wanted to do was walk across the room and punch him in the face, he stood there as his his fists tighted try to not take a step towards him but the more he said the more he was making it harder, then he snaped his eyes from him as Ellsion lost her cool, he turned and looked at her as she told him to get home, and if he wasnt welcome in there family home he had to go to her, he simply just nodded at her before she made her exit,
it wasnt long before Rosa said she was going with her to help find out anything they could, and more it was just him and Conall, right now this wasnt the best place for him to be not beacause he didnt want to be but more for the safty of him, he just there for a few seconds looking at him he had been angry with him before of some of his actions but this was a whole other level he had taking it,
he shock his head at him as he just stood there, they wasnt much more that could be said to him right more Ellsion had said enough, and hopefully he knew he messed up, "you really showed who you truly are on and what the people in this family mean to you, i hope you can live with the actions you took"
he didnt give him time to reply before he turned and headed out the door towards his room,

"you really showed who you truly are on and what the people in this family mean to you, i hope you can live with the actions you took"
Liono's words stung deep and Conall didn't try to reply. Sure… the fact that Magda was hot and fun behind closed doors was an added benefit to everything he'd done, but everything he'd done was to get their name to the top… or at least, that's what he'd thought he was doing it for. Perhaps, he was wrong or perhaps, being the villan, taking the steps he took that made him the villan in all their books, was a thankless job.
It was, what it was.
He stood, poured himself a drink, tossed it back and sat behind his desk to go over paperwork.
