The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

5 whole years of Heir Apparent goodness! When I started the site, I knew I was hunkering down for the long haul, but I never could have predicted the numerous twists and turns this roleplay site has seen. Hundreds of plots, characters, and members have come and gone, all leaving marks on the site. I am so very thankful for those who have invested. Because you keep coming back, keep getting on, and keep writing, Heir Apparent has the legacy it does today. Three cheers to us!
Keion stood in the workshop of the Blackwood estate studying the boots sitting before him. He had asked another Blackwood who happened to be a shoemaker to craft the boots for him, thankful he was able to have them made without any questions being asked. He still disagreed with Akagi Llewellyn 's plan, but it was not his place to further question the Prince. His only remaining job was to enchant the boots as requested. With a sigh and a shake of his head, he rolled up his sleeves and began.

Surveying the shelves of the workshop, Keion searched for the stock of their most potent souls. Nothing less would suffice for this enchantment, as the Prince's life quite literally depended on the boots functioning perfectly. Finding what he was looking for, he picked two of the smallest diamonds they used to hold their farmed souls. He studied them for a moment before returning to the boots.
He had made a small adjustment to Akagi's plans for the boots. He instructed the shoemaker to sew tiny pockets in the front of the boots, a place for Keion to put the diamonds which held the souls for the enchantment. He wanted the enchantment as strong as it could possibly be and so needed to keep the souls within the diamonds. Picking up the first boot, he ran his hands along the inside of one of the straps to find the pocket.
Finding the little pocket, he slipped one of the tiny diamonds inside of it, ensuring the pocket had been made properly and the diamond had no chance of sliding out of it. Satisfied with it, he slid the tome closer to him on the table and turned his focus to creating the enchantment on the boot.
Fully satisfied with the enchantment on the boot, he picked it up and shook it all around to double check if the diamond would remain in place. It did, and he paused in his work long enough to take a sip of water before starting on the next boot.
He worked quickly but thoroughly on the enchantment for the second boot, double and triple checking everything once he was finished. He stepped back then, glancing over the boots once more before nodding to himself. He picked up the boots, placing them inside a bag and headed off towards the palace to find Akagi Llewellyn.
