The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

5 whole years of Heir Apparent goodness! When I started the site, I knew I was hunkering down for the long haul, but I never could have predicted the numerous twists and turns this roleplay site has seen. Hundreds of plots, characters, and members have come and gone, all leaving marks on the site. I am so very thankful for those who have invested. Because you keep coming back, keep getting on, and keep writing, Heir Apparent has the legacy it does today. Three cheers to us!
Taz dropped her garments again with a shrug, this time slipping off her pants over her boots so they didn’t hang around her ankles. She snickered as the other Dresmondi undressed, some with nervousness others with full-on terror.
Rikki huffed with laughter too, once again dancing with his shuffling feet.

Hiram waited, watching as each of the soldiers removed their clothing. He found little to admire and more to pity, but his opinion of their bodies wasn't the reason for this exercise. Only when every last one of them was naked as the day they left the womb and standing at attention would he guide them to their next task.
"This," he declared, "is how you will train. This is also how you will do everything else until I select which of you will go into battle." He smirked and raked them with his eyes, ending on Tazmin.
Taz's aforementioned passion for hazing and public humiliation was being satisfied to the fullest. She snickered as the soldiers undressed, buzzing with malevolent glee. What morons they were. What soft, pathetic fools. Taz spat on the ground, snickering as the recruits clumsily undressed.
There were no questions from the now nude wannabe soldiers. Taz, grinning, tried her luck with one.
"Yeah I got one," Sneered Taz, stepping forward in her nakedness and picking up a training sword, "Who wants to go first?"

This. This was the absolute most bizarre request ever given to Eirwen, by Eldouir or Dresmondi. However she didn't hesitate like some as she stripped, she didn't fiddle awkwardly or take her time. The only article she did dislike removing was her great sword which she laid delicately on the ground while her clothes were tossed every which way.
Asses, weiners, bush, and red faces was what she took in as she stood proudly naked. It was amazing the levels Eirwen took to be accepted or just noticed, but here she was. Green eyes watched as Tazmin did ask her question to God's question. If anyone tried to step up and answer Tazmin's question they wouldn't get the chance, she grabbed up her own sword and approached Taz with her bulky blade resting against her shoulder.
The blade was large and looked comical in size to the slender naked tall girl but the years of practice she had with it Eirwen had zero problems weilding it. She was strong and she was ready, "I'll go."

"No." Hiram said, stepping between Eirwen and Tazmin. He would reach to take the weapon from the younger girl. If successful, he would toss it to the side.
"Don't be an idiot. That blade is too large and slows you down. You need something more practical for your size, not something you think you look cool holding."
Tazmin’s eyebrows raised at the approaching Dresmondi. It seemed there was a sword-wielding infant that wanted a piece of the action. She couldn’t have been more than…well, she had to be older than she looked. There was a rooster scraping around in her vicinity; her dyr no doubt. Taz smirked, looking the scrawny little thing up and down with an appraising air.
When Hiram stepped between them, Taz grinned with a smugness that was second to none. Yeah, baby girl. Run home and take your toys with you. Let the big kids play.
Shifting her weight to one hip, Taz lazily swirled the training sword back and forth. If the little one wanted to bring out the real weapons, Taz had no problems doing so. Her scimitars lay on the ground, discarded with the rest of her garments. She’d happily retrieve them if the situation called for it. But for now, Taz just smirked at Eirwen from over Hiram’s shoulder.

Whatever, sure but she would never surrender that weapon it had it's purpose and it defended her and her dyr more than either of them knew. It was adaptable and she understood how to use the blades weight to her advantage. Now wasn't the time for debating anyways she just wanted to knock that bitches stupid grin off her face.
Eirwen picked one of the lame training blades up and twirled it around in her hand with ease, these were kids weapons and Eirwen didn't care she was a fit and capable combatant. Plus she was communicating with Yule who was pecking the ground behind Eirwen now, he looked absolutely silly.
She waited for God to move. Green eyes looking through him at Taz.

Hiram continued to mutter about the ridiculousness of children and their foolish perspective of themselves. There was absolutely no way in hell a girl who weighed 95 pounds was going to be able to effectively wield a great sword that easily weighed a fourth of her weight. It wasn't comical, it was unrealistic, and Hiram was here to burst bubbles and make the most of individuals. Or he'd just kill them. Good thing she didn't argue, because she'd be dead wrong (badum-cshh).
He moved out of their way and didn't give any sort of signal. They could go ahead and fight.
Taz grinned and started to circle Eirwen. She swung the sword, getting a feel for its weight, taunting the twiggy kid in front of her. Rikki wheezed with faint laughter as his feet danced with anticipation. Taz relished her nakedness, Hiram’s presence, and the promise of smacking this actual infant to the ground.
She wouldn’t strike first. Still circling, she puckered her lips and made a kissy sound at Eirwen. The cocky mockery would suggest Taz wasn’t taking this seriously, but the Dresmondi’s eyes told another story. They were fixed on her target, waiting for her to make a move.

Eirwen gripped the hilt of her sword with both hands as the other woman circled her, the younger girl following that same pattern as Yule himself remained behind his Dresmondi.
"Yule go high," Eirwen instructed the black rooster and Yule replied, 'and you go low...'
They didn't need to communicate further on what to do, now it was a feeling between the two. Eirwen took the first two steps, slowly closing the gap between them and she would make the first move by dropping low aiming a sweeping attack at Taz's knees at the same time Yule came over top of Eirwen sharp talons and wings flogging wildly as they aimed for Taz's eyes.
Instead of swiping in quickly, Eirwen took two slow steps toward Taz before making her move. Such an error gave Taz all the advance notice she needed to anticipate the child’s swing.
Eirwen went for a low sweep as Taz circled the sword and brought it down over her head with a mighty swing. Eirwen had put herself close enough to reach Taz, so if the girl stayed to see her swiping motion through, her opponent would bring the sword right down on her head.
“Fancy a roast chicken?”
Rikki, whose shining eyes had been fixed on the proceedings, sent out a burst of electricity. The bolt whizzed through the air to the rooster literally at the speed of lightning. The bolt would not be enough to kill the creature but would be enough to shock its system.

Eirwen raised her blade back up in time to intersect Taz's, Eirwen and their swords were locked but the dark haired girl would scoop a handful of dirt bringing it up to throw in the other girls face hoping to temporary blind her and if she was successful Eirwen would sweep Taz's feet out from under her.
Yule hit the ground in a daze, "that...was...s-s-hocking," he stuttered out in Eirwens head as he slowly tried to center himself, the temperature around them all began to plummet rapidly. The sweat on their naked bodies would began to freeze just as the buckets of water around the training grounds, where waves of ice would erupt from cascading toward Yule forming a thick ice bubble around him.
The rooster dyr acted in self-defense, starting to build an ice cocoon instead of defending his Dresmondi. How terribly pathetic—or so thought Rikki. Rikki, who at the moment was waiting for the slightest indication he needed to hop to Taz’s defense.
Eirwen had been successful in temporarily bamboozling her opponent. Taz’s sword loosened and she raised a hand to furiously wipe the dirt from her face, but the firmness of her stance did not falter.
If Eirwen wanted to swipe her feet, she better make it a powerful swing. Taz had a good sixty pounds on Eirwen—all of it solid muscle. It was like a switch trying to hack away at a tree.
If the girl was successful in taking out her feet, Taz would fall with a grunt on her back, catching herself with one hand after her butt hit the ground. If Eirwen wasn’t, Taz would stumble several steps backward to gather herself—looking much, much less jolly.
But then there was Rikki.
Rikki who had been waiting for his moment would burst with yellow-orange lightning. It was like a giant spider, whose crushing legs targeted Eirwen and Yule both. Yule would have the benefit of building his ice castle to escape the full brunt of the attack, but there was no block Eirwen could throw that could send the electric shock back.
This time, Rikki would be less forgiving. The force of the electricity would not just stun—it would hurt, a constant current running from him to Eirwen that filled the air with a foul aroma.

Hiram wisely backed away from the encounter, fully aware of the fact that when Dresmondi, sloppy creatures, started to fight it was going to get messy. Cold, hot, electric, unstable--messy. They could be such forces if they weren't all so incapable. He had yet to see a single one that impressed him. He hoped today would be different.
Eirwen's attempt to hit Tazmin to her feet failed. She did kick the other woman, but at less than one hundred pounds there was no way the force of her blow could bring the heavier woman down. Her light weight would be due to lack of muscles, which meant she wasn't very strong. Hence Hiram telling her to put down the big sword--she could thank him later.
Everyone in the vicinity began to feel the cold, Hiram included. He combatted it by increasing the speed with which the blood flowed in his body, but no one else had that luxury. Tazmin, Eirwen, and Rikki would all feel the blood in their bodies slow as their sweat and saliva turned to icicles. Meanwhile, the stupid chicken hid.
With Tazmin stumbling away, the opportunity for her dyr was taken. The hyena sent a shock of electricity at both human and her dyr. The human would find herself frozen in place, her nervous system failing her as the currents rushed over her repeatedly, generating from Rikki. Yule, hidden in his bubble of ice, would initially be saved from the current and find himself able to help his human. Should he terry, however, he would find that the electricity streaming into the ice would actually be magnified, and the result might be something not so pretty; Christmas dinner.

Eirwen growled deeply when the electricity began to pump through her body which was insanely tensed as she began to fall to the ground. Yule manipulated the ice around him into a wall that grew between the electric dyr and them flying up to land on Eirwen again manipulating the air to drop the temperature even lower.
