The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

5 whole years of Heir Apparent goodness! When I started the site, I knew I was hunkering down for the long haul, but I never could have predicted the numerous twists and turns this roleplay site has seen. Hundreds of plots, characters, and members have come and gone, all leaving marks on the site. I am so very thankful for those who have invested. Because you keep coming back, keep getting on, and keep writing, Heir Apparent has the legacy it does today. Three cheers to us!
"Why does it matter what might have happened?" There was no point thinking about what might have happened because it hadn't. And the more that Val went down that rabbit hole the worse it would be. "You did it, that's what mattered, and now you'll remember that for next time. You certainly won't be able to forget it." Laughing she looked at the woman's ankle and wrist, tutting lightly. Snagging a towel she ripped it, passing her half to wrap around her arm while she bent to the woman's ankle. "You have some healing potions yes?"

Kat was right, she possible need to learn some summoning chants though, however she doesn't have a spell book. she has got by not needing to know any but knows it might be quite useful. she watched as kat rip a towel up and bandage her ankle as she storted her arm out. "thank you Kat" she smiled it a great friend.
she then thought about where the health potions are, "I think I have a few in the kitchen next to where to the herbs are. Top third cupboard from the left. It the one near the stove." Val explained. Herself doesn't own a lot of healing potions. like when she on land it not something she needed as much.
While Kat didn't know a lot about potions she knew some of the basics. Certainly the military had drilled some of the easier ones into her head. And working with Rosa had given her a better look into some other basics. Not that she ever planned to follow that pursuit.
Still she strode off, preparing the potion and bringing it back. "There, and now you can stop complaining right." Winking she laughed, not trying to make Val's day worse but toughen her up a little. Magic was great but it had consequences she would have to understand.

Val rolled her eyes and shook her head as she grabbed the bottle, she placed it down on the table. "complaining?" she laughed. Val knows that magic has its consequences she wasn't born yesterday. like she knows she possibly needs more potions in stock for her and Keir like she knows them and being most of the time the only witch on board needs to know the basic potion that will be useful to have on board.
Kat flicked her hair over her shoulder. "Wouldn't dream of doing anything else. Fighting is never boring, magic isn't either." She was surprised that Val had gotten so far in her military career without more work on her magic. Of course she wasn't a navy soldier so she wasn't sure how that worked. Certainly she couldn't see herself fighting without her magic anymore. It was the perfect tool, and it gave them a foot up in battle. "Just keep practicing and you'll get better at it is all."

She never really needed to work on magic, she never had to use it well at sea. It is surprisingly rare if they use their swords to be fair. However they might be something out at sea she might face where a being able to cast magic will be useful. She only got this far because her captain gave her father good words on how she was doing on board the ship. However, with her being a chief petty offiver she was most on shore anyway. "haha good thing i am not the ship Enlisted witch and just the chief petty officer isn't it?" She smiled
"I will keep practice but it going to be hard because i have no idea what i am doing."
Kat shrugged her shoulders, not thinking that her reason was good enough. Their magic was a part of them, and Kat certainly enjoyed leaning into it. The darkness that surrounded it and how deep she could sink into it. "Not a reason to not be a great witch though. You'll get there Val." Especially with such an amazing teacher that was willing to push her despite any resistance. Surely she would be along in no time.
"I'll help when I have the time. Get your father to get you a military magic tutor or something." Surely money could buy anything.

It wasn't really an excuse just that if she was a enlisted Witch on the ship she would have to be more confident with aspect that is magic because she would of had to keep up to date with the magic. However here she was mainly on land having to enlist soldiers to be in the navy. When she suggested to talk to her dad about getting a tutor. She looked at her untouched healing potion. She leaned back into her chair and thought for a moment.
"My father, that would be a interesting convesations." she laughed softly
Kat really didn't see what the big deal would be in her asking her father for help, but honestly it didn't concern her either. She had played her part and certainly made up for the lessons while she was out of the military. Repaid the favor, and apparently at a time she really needed it. Not knowing that part of yourself for so long seemed unimaginable. "Well good luck. I should get going, so much to do and all." Smiling she hopped up and went to go about the rest of her day. There was far too much on her plate for any more hand-holding
