The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

Change in how times flows. Was 4 IC seasons, now only 2 IC seasons per 1 OOC year.
5 whole years of Heir Apparent goodness! When I started the site, I knew I was hunkering down for the long haul, but I never could have predicted the numerous twists and turns this roleplay site has seen. Hundreds of plots, characters, and members have come and gone, all leaving marks on the site. I am so very thankful for those who have invested. Because you keep coming back, keep getting on, and keep writing, Heir Apparent has the legacy it does today. Three cheers to us!
Zevran paused in what he was doing, looking from Alys's face to the vials in her hands and back again, his eyebrow raising. "Maybe around four hours? Why? What are those?"
His answer gave her everything she needed. Tucking two of the vials back into the bag and extending her hand towards them, careful with the vials in her hands. "Invisibility potions." She stated simply, but knew that she wasn't talking to those who knew about witchcraft specifically. "One for each of you." Her eyes moved to Ermir, then Luka. "The full vial gives you eight hours of you and anything within two to three feet of you invisibility. Meaning your dyr's and gear." She nodded towards Ermir and Luka's things and dyrs.
"You'd only need half, if its really four hours. Save the rest or take more if you are delayed." She shuffled into her bag for two other vials, the liquid inside a different color than the first two. "These will reverse the potion, making you visible again. If you need it to wear off faster." But she knew that there might be a resistance for this. So took the lid off of one, took the smallest sip, and disappeared from sight. Her and her belongings, and Grant's arm, since he was near to her. She purposefully moved away from him. Leaving him to be seen.
She moved to stand close to Zevran, silent as she could be, and with just the same amount of the antidote, she sipped it. And would appear just an arms length in front of him. "A lot easier and quicker than waiting for nightfall." She smiled, her eyes shining with pride as she handed Zevran the four vials.
His eyes narrowed suspiciously at the vials and he knew Luka certainly wouldn't want to drink whatever was within them. Probably not Ermir either. But before he could protest on account of his friends, Alys had already popped open one of them and drank from it herself, immediately disappearing from sight.
Zevran's eyes widened as he looked around, attempting to find where she had disappeared to, only for her to reappear right in front of him. He took a step back, a noise of surprise coming from him as he stared at her and her outstretched hand with the vials.
She was smiling easily, clearly unbothered by whatever had just happened to her. He slowly took the vials, studying them and turning them over in his hand before he looked to Kezia, the only other one here who had any experience with things outside the kingdom, looking for approval from her.
Then he would look to Ermir and Luka for their decision on the vials. "It would certainly save us time, but... I don't know.." He hedged, the vials still held carefully within his hand.
The surprised sound only grew that smile across that freckled face. Mischievous even. “This only scratches the surface of what I am capable of.” It was said like a promise, watching him look over the vials before her eyes skipped to Kezia, who Zevran seemed to look at. “Their magic can do many things, from what I saw. I tried a potion once that made me float. Another made my skin glow.” she was referring to the things that were at the Queen’s coming of age birthday party.
“I offer it only because time is precious. And if we don’t have to wait here, we can continue moving.” She offered, looking between Ermir and Luka. “I can even offer a summoning to speed the process, but I’ll have to pull it back before we get too far. So maybe cut the time in half. And it’d have to leave with you.” And she also was unsure of how they’d feel with a terrifying creature.
Watching the woman and her mysterious potions, Ermir was certainly surprised by the disappearance. He had never seen magic before, and this was still processing everything by the time she re-appeared.
Looking between his companions the tavern owner tried his best to make the right choice. On one hand he still didn’t entirely trust this witch’s mysterious magic, but if he didn’t it would slow this help plan. ”We’ll take them and go, it will give you more time to go find help.” Giving Kezia a tight hug he nodded over to Luka, glad at least that they wouldn’t be doing this alone. ”We can walk” To heck with any other magic stuff, one thing was enough.
Ermir hugged her, but it wasn't enough. Not with everything that was riding on what happened next. So when he pulled away, she only pulled him back into her. Her face burying into his chest for a few moments. She'd need this moment to last them for however long they'd be apart. It'd be only when she finally knew that the potions were secured with the two and there was a long pause, when she'd release him. Those dark eyes of hers shining with the unshed tears. "We'll be back..." She brushed her hand over her eyes.
"Please take care of one another." She said to both Ermir and Luka before she finished packing up all of her things and moved to stand beside Zevran. Her gaze lingering only on Ermir.
They agreed. And she was glad for it. It would make the most sense, and she hoped they would take them as needed. Save whatever was left for whatever else laid ahead while the rest of them traveled back to Nevermere. They would have a long trip ahead of them, one that would consist of hunting and gathering their own food, finding water supply, taking turns keeping watch, and constantly looking over their surroundings. Even when they passed into the familiar mountains of Nevermere.
All the while, Alys kept asking her questions of Dresmond. She kept listening to what it was like there, both before and after the Eldouir's. And gaining her own knowledge of what gifts were known from the redheads. Days would pass, a flying summoning used to cross the canyon, pulling them across 2 by 2, as she didn't want to summon anything too large as to be spotted from far away. Careful with every step they made, considering there was now four of them returning to Nevermere.
Unaware that a faint mist had followed behind them the whole way.
