The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

5 whole years of Heir Apparent goodness! When I started the site, I knew I was hunkering down for the long haul, but I never could have predicted the numerous twists and turns this roleplay site has seen. Hundreds of plots, characters, and members have come and gone, all leaving marks on the site. I am so very thankful for those who have invested. Because you keep coming back, keep getting on, and keep writing, Heir Apparent has the legacy it does today. Three cheers to us!

Green eyes studied him hard, moving back and forth between his blues, as if she was going to find deception or a lie lingering there for her. But he sounded sure, confident, and the man who didn't say many words on a good day was giving her a promise. She wouldn't lose him. Not to this. As long as she did what she thought was right. She certainly hoped he'd agree then.
With a small quiver of her lower lip, she nodded. Hoping that would tell him everything he'd need to know and to hopefully banish any other quivering away from her. That was not how a queen acted. Neither was the way she yelled at the earlier guards. Which only caused her to reach behind her and start pulling at the laces of her gown, her face growing red as she realized how disorderly she looked now. "I... am sorry for what you saw," she glanced towards the window she had been gasping for air out of.

After a few moments of intense eye contact, Titus gave a singular nod in response to the Queen.
"Right, well," said Titus, "I would prefer seeing something slightly odd than bursting in to a gruesome scene." Her being several kinds of dead was a dealbreaker for a Royal Guard, after all. "Don't worry about it, Your Highness." All this was taking a very big toll on the little Queen, clearly. Titus wouldn't remind her of the actual way she would come to lose him one day, since it didn't seem reminding her of his mortality was the best course of action right now.

He said not to worry, but she would. In the days and weeks to come, she'd be constantly glancing his way. Especially with Honora's absence, she could feel her worry but did her best to not show it. Only time would tell...
