The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

5 whole years of Heir Apparent goodness! When I started the site, I knew I was hunkering down for the long haul, but I never could have predicted the numerous twists and turns this roleplay site has seen. Hundreds of plots, characters, and members have come and gone, all leaving marks on the site. I am so very thankful for those who have invested. Because you keep coming back, keep getting on, and keep writing, Heir Apparent has the legacy it does today. Three cheers to us!

Training with Coheed men who had large amounts of pride was tedious and often ended with a fight or an exchanging of harsh words. Feuds were born from it. Today was the same way, Othello was sitting a top of a large awning like structure that was half built, he himself building it. He was watching what are first was a loud yelling match between two men about the others poor axe hacking skills. When the shoving started that was when he stopped what he was doing a small nail smacked half powered sat now crooked, his grey eyes watched the shoving match turn into a wrestling match.
"fuck," he whispered as put down the hammer in his hand, a few more men had picked sides and had started their own brawling. Looking from the gaggle of fighting girls to the Nevermere soldiers who he figured would stop the madness...
...just to be sure it didn't explode he casually rolled off the back of where he sat landing out of his flip onto his feet. Inching slowly toward the fighting, he reached out with his gift feeling and picking up on all the metal around them ready to pull it all down.

Octavius was on the patrol today. Seemed Coheed was going to be just like Cambria: they basically stood around, watching what the people did, not really getting involved but certainly on alter and ready should the need arise. No doubt @katerina was nearby, even if she wasn't next to Octavius in that moment.
The soldier glanced apathetically towards the two men yelling at each other. If they intervened at every raised voice then no one would ever get anything done. He didn't care much about why they argued. Of course, when the wrestling began he started to care. Not much but a little more.
Octavius' hand came to rest on the hilt of his sword and his brows drew down over his eyes. It was a brawl, no more than eight or so men, and as of right now no weapons were drawn. It was a fist fight. A street tussle. The behavior would have been stopped immediately in Nevermere, but the people here weren't the same. This was typical behavior for them savages, or so Octavius had the impression of.

It seemed the soldiers had noticed the scuffle but refrained from interfering. As one man gained the upper hand Othello felt the shifting of the steel around the man's waist and it was confirmed when he raised a small dagger in the air only their would be no attack a simple pull made it look like it merely fumbled from his hand. It surprised the man who drew the blade which gave the other an advantage as he toppled the man with a punch.
Othello took off across the field to grab the first man he came across fighting, he gripped the metal of light armor on the man and with his gift manipulation sent the man stumbling backwards. It looked as if Othello had Coheed strength, "enuff boyos! Yer not impressing anyone 'ere!"
A punch was thrown at him but controlling the steel bracer on the man's forearm slowed it enough for Othello to duck under coming up with a upper cut of his own, it connected on the edge of the man's jaw which made his teeth smack together sitting the man on his bottom. Another grabbed him from behind, which Othello used that to lift his legs up into the chest of one rushing kicking him.
"Ya shite!" he bellowed as the man bear hugged Othello backwards, Othe could feel the metal around this man's wrists as well to which he grabbed with his gift and forced the man's arms a part dropping him to the ground where without missing a beat he kicked a foot back into the man's balls.
A surge of anger and Othello forced out a wave of his gift that he hoped sent anyone around him with any metal on them away...

Octavius kept his eye on the mess. It was actually entertaining, but he knew better than to grin and watch as some of his peers decided to do. Should a commanding officer come by it would not look good to be seen making a joke of this embarrassing display.
"Is this...what you guys do?" Octavius asked a nearby soldier without looking away from the tussle. Were these people really so savage that they fought amongst themselves this way and had to have Nevermerean soldiers break it up like teachers in a school yard? Cambria wasn't like this. They dueled, yes, but if they fought it was done with words.
"Not really." The other guard shrugged, still chuckling at what he was watching. "We're here to protect them from the Eldouirs, not from themselves. I'm not getting involved."
Octavius swallowed and nodded, eyes glued, looking for an excuse to jump in. Not to fight, mind you, but to stop it.

Othello was keeping the men he had knocked down pinned to the ground by any metal attached, mostly by their light armor, and they struggled for a bit until he let go of his hold over the steel.
"Oi ya' dumb fuckers I said it's enough!" Othello barked spinning in the middle of them all, "Actin' tough in front o'all those wet twats are ya?" his bald tattooed head nodded in the Nevermere soldiers way, "Fuckin' embarrassin'! How this lot 'as outlived those flammin' head sissies over yerselves is a God's damned miracle! Yer all priddy an' we all got large cocks but Imma start bustin'fuckin' skulls if this shite continues..."
His power was rattling just on the edge, vibrating the steel around him.

Octavius was still watching, as rapt as one observes a dog bouncing on its hind legs. He didn't even notice the metal on his person, his armor and sword, vibrating. The guards around him did, but Octavius was too taken by the sight of this Coheedsman, or who he thought was a Coheedsman, and his leadership and power among them.
"Who is that guy?" He asked, a little star struck. He had beat them down with ease. With strength. It reminded him of the women of Cambria...almost.

All of his bad assery must have stamped out the heated conflict but perhaps some wounded pride too as a lone little warrior just put down more than one of them. Othello seemingly pleased took a mocking bow towards the Nevermere soldiers, "fanks fer all yer help, shinnin' knights o'chilvary!"
Othello stomped away mumbling just as incoherently as he talked. Oh how he curses becoming a voice and act of reasoning, was he slipping in his age?

While the Nevermerean soldiers that Othello bowed to ignored him as one ignored the cow that brays, Octavius looked at the man unabashedly and with a touch of wonder. He truly was a man's man, inserting himself into the fray that way and settling things. Octavius decided then that he respected the bald man. Though what Othello said was mocking, Octavius dipped his head, and then he watched him leave.
