The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

This fall and winter was a period of low activity for the site, but even so, the Dresmond board has continued to simmer with excitement. This kingdom has moved from distant side dish to a dramatic main course in the world of Terra Nova. A big shout out to members Heather, Nix, and Darkest whose high activity has helped lead it through a renaissance into a new era!
Oscar was floored. The sentencing was actually ridiculous. At least three fourths of it. He had a rage boiling inside of him since they announced the judgement. The treasonous Count, or now no tittle, was to die. They hadn't announced how just quite yet, but he was sure it would come quick now. But the Allemeades? He was disgusted with the news. Having three of the gifteds who had been attacked stripped of their high holding positions and then one of them losing a title?
He hadn't been able to shake the anger since he heard. Which is why he wound up at The Bronze Lion. A place that was not as rowdy and a bit more expensive to try and keep the commoners out. He sat at the bar, heat practically radiating off of him as the barmaid refilled his short glass with whiskey. "It's ridiculous I tell you. It's one thing to give him a tongue lashing, but there was no evidence of anything that they claimed. The Allemeades were attacked and they somehow got punished." He said it in an angry hushed tone, but it would be open for those around to hear him. Oscar, while a courtier, was one of the more outspoke ones.

Elliot couldn't help but overhear the words spoken by a man who was sitting at the bar, ranting to the poor barmaid. She didn't seem to know what to respond to his rage. Elliot had went over to the Bronze Lion to enjoy a drink and perhaps talk to some other people. Now Ikisina was living at his house, he felt less lonely, but still he longed for some conversations with other people. The older man sat down next to the angry fellow, gesturing to the barmaid that he'd like a drink. "I'll also have a whiskey, and bring this good man a second one. He seems like he could use it." He looked to his side, taking in the man. "Upset with the verdict of the trial?" he simply asked. He had heard about the trial and hadn't been able to talk to many people about it yet. He tried not to talk about it to Ikisina too much because he didn't want to upset her, knowing she was a gifted as well.
Dark eyes whirled with his head as he whipped towards the man. Looking him over with the usual scowl on his face that he wore, even though his nose flared as he registered that the man ordered him another drink. So instead of instantly spitting his fire, he downed the rest of his in preparation for the next one. "Upset is one word for it," he said lowly as he placed the glass on the bar top and pushed it towards where the barmaid would soon appear with refreshments.
"The Wyndham got what he had coming, even if I know it won't be a violent enough death that he will deserve. But I will settle for his sentence." he said, elbows pressing into the wood in front of him as he leaned into it. "But the Allemeade's? Circumstantial was all that was had. I didn't hear one account of certainty that left them stripped of positions or a title."

The man seemed to be full of anger and it didn't really appear that he appreciated Elliot sitting down next to him. The baronet didn't care much for what the man felt about him taking the empty seat though. When you were loudly talking to a barmaid about something that she didn't really feel comfortable talking about, you should be prepared for someone overhearing the conversation and joining in.
While the man was talking, the maid removed the empty glass from the bar before replacing it with two new glasses. Elliot picked up one and set it down before the younger man. He took a sip of his own drink before putting it down again to reply. "I agree with you. They were ambushed and had to protect themselves. Their sentences don't seem fair to me at all. At least Fischer gets what he deserves. You don't think his death will be painful enough? What would you have them do, then?"
