The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

5 whole years of Heir Apparent goodness! When I started the site, I knew I was hunkering down for the long haul, but I never could have predicted the numerous twists and turns this roleplay site has seen. Hundreds of plots, characters, and members have come and gone, all leaving marks on the site. I am so very thankful for those who have invested. Because you keep coming back, keep getting on, and keep writing, Heir Apparent has the legacy it does today. Three cheers to us!
Elliot had arranged a little get-away for him and Ikisina. She needed it. He would just tag along to keep her entertained. He wanted to be there for her during these difficult times. Multiple attacks and a broken heart weren't easy on a woman's soul. So early that day, the two of them had left Elliot's estate and boarded a carriage. Vern would ride them to Rainesbury and then he'd head back to the estate. He'd take the week off. Elliot would be cooking for them during their trip, or he'd take Ikisina out to dinners so she could just enjoy some food and the night without having to worry about anything. He had told her that they could go shopping for some clothes, jewellery and books if she felt up for it. Apart from that, they could read in the little house he had rented or they could go out for drinks. Whatever she felt like doing, they would do.
Once the carriage had arrived near the house, Elliot descended and held his hand up to Ikisina so she could descend as well. Vern helped with their luggage and brought it inside. After that was done, the butler turned to his master and smiled. "Have a nice weekend", he said, bowing his head to Elliot and then to Ikisina before getting back on the carriage. Elliot watched as Vern disappeared and then turned to Ikisina. It was only around 2PM, so they still had plenty of time to do things. "Here we are", he said, smiling at her. They were still standing outside, so it was up to her what she wanted to do. They could head inside for a bit, or leave straight away to visit the town.

It was hard to explain what happened to Elliot seeing how he responded to her. However, she needed to tell him, it was hard not to as she was in such a state when she got home, she just was annoyed with herself that she can't go out by herself anymore without the treat of being attacked by anti-gifters. She knew it was the smart thing to do to ask Elliot about a body guard. She had mentioned it though Scout suggested to Elliot on the day as she have a feeling that it might take a while to find someone who was suited for the role.
When they reached the place they staying that she looked out the window with a massive smile on her face. "This place look stunning Elliot." She said excitement in her voice. She has packed a book for the weekend and a couple of dresses for what ever they might do. She wore a stunning dress that still her allowed to move without putting to much pressure on the bruise on the stomach. It was still sore but it was all just bruising.
As Elliot offered his hand to her she took his hand in hers and slowly climb down from the carriage. "Thank you Vern, I hope you have a lovely weekend." She watched as Vern went back home. It was just going to be her and Elliot for a couple of days. It was a beautiful day for Autumna "Can we go out to the town to see what books there are here?" She was just a simple book nerd at the end of the day.

Even though this trip was mainly to help Ikisina relax, he too needed it after what she had told him a few days prior to them leaving. She had been the victim of yet another attack, although this time the attack hadn't been planned. She had just happened to come across a anti-Gifted meeting on her way to work. The Lady Steward had helped her out and suggested Ikisina get a bodyguard. They hadn't properly discussed it yet, but he wanted to avoid the topic as long as they were on their trip. If she brought it up sooner or later, they'd talk about it, but for now he just wanted to relax and enjoy their time together.
He was glad to hear the excitement in her voice when she saw the house. He smiled at her before he helped her down from the carriage, leaving her the choice between going inside and visiting the town. She had said goodbye to Vern, who had left with a big smile on his face. He really liked having Ikisina living with them. Still, he did not know she had a gift.
Ikisina said that she'd like to visit the town to see which books there were. Elliot laughed warmly and nodded, offering her his arm so they could take a stroll down to the town's center. "I've heard that they have a lovely bookstore here. You can also sit down for some tea. Would you like that?"

Sina liked her arm with Elliot as they walked down to the town her eyes wide with joy not focusing on what happened not that long ago. She was taking in what was around them, It was beautiful. She was eager to see what was instore and not have to worry because she was with Elliot and nobody here knows her.
She looked at Elliot "I would really like tea. I am already loving this Elliot thank you." She leans into him slightly giving him a hug. Being out of town just filled her with joy and she almost forgot what it was like.

They were walking while they were talking and Elliot mentioned that he had heard that the bookstore had a little tea nook attached to it. He proposed that they could go for some tea and the woman said that she'd like that. A smile formed on his face when she hugged him and he put an arm around her shoulders for a moment while continuing to walk downtown.
Once they had reached the bookstore, he came to a halt and looked around. The village was much smaller than Loren, but also much cosier. The trees were turning orange but it looked beautiful and somehow the people seemed more approachable and nicer than back in Loren. Yes, he was happy that he had brought the young woman here.
Elliot held open the door and walked inside after Ikisina. A little bell rang and announced their presence. A heartly looking fellow peeked around the corner and greeted him. He was a somewhat older gentleman, around Elliot's age, with a big, bushy moustache. "Well well, unfamiliar faces! Welcome." He smiled at them and Elliot greeted the man before looking at Ikisina. Did she want to talk to this guy, or did she want to browse for books?

She felt safe, comforted, and happy she relax even more when Elliot wrap his arms around her shoulder as they walked into town talking. Like if only they would have found each other sooner maybe they could of privately arranged for her to be his daughter but she know in her hearty that Elliot will always be the closest thing she will have to a dad. She would hate if anybody hurt him.
When they got to the town she smiled warmly looking around it felt homely safe. A place she doesn't have to worry about walking around because everybody seemed really nice, with warm welcoming faces. When they walked into the store and a man with a bushy moustache appeared Annabeth smiled wildly. "Hello. I am here for a new book to read, or two or five. I don't know yet. Which of these fabulous books would you recommend, my interest are surprise me." Sina smiled it was excitable and happy. If she could jump around with joy she would. A small buzz of excitement filled around her.

Ikisina seemed to like the man that had approached them. She had a smile on her face and responded when he spoke to them. Elliot grinned slightly when he heard Ikisina say she was looking for one, two or five books. Books had brought the two of them together and their shared interest in literature had been the subject of many interesting discussions. The man with the moustache laughed warmly. "Well, you've come to the right place then! A little bit of everything can be found on these shelves. Lots of stories about princesses and knights, but also poetry, books about the history of whatever kingdom you can think of and if you want something really special, we recently got some books about Nevermere magic." He wiggled his eyebrows, trying to look mysterious.
Elliot turned to the woman he saw as a daughter and raised an eyebrow. "Well, what do you think? Does anything spark your interest?"

"Oh they all sound so interesting and special. How can one person choose?" She laughed softly. She looked at the man who she saw as a father, with such affection, it was like at that moment in time all the pain and worries that had been hunting her, the chase of the Anti-gifted faded away from her mind. Her former self was there, this twenty-five-year-old woman who was in her comfort zone.
"Well the one about Nevermere magic sounds really interesting." And helpful for her at least maybe. "But also history, you can learn alot about other people's life and how they life and their fails and successes." She explained. "I am more interestested in the fact books then the ones about knights and princesses at the moment." She was trying to move on from men and normally with those sort of book romance is invold and she doesn't need that at all in her life.

"Who said anything about choosing? Get as many as you want." He smiled at her. He'd buy her every book she wanted and more. She deserved it. If it made her happy, it was more than worth the money.
The vendor nodded. "No fairytales for the lady, understood." He smiled at her before gesturing for them to follow him. He made his way through some corridors of bookcases and came to a stop before one about magic. "There's plenty of books about magic, Nevermere and the history of the kingdom here. Take a look, if you want."

Ikisina hugged Elliot tightly. "You are the best." She smiled. She doesn't ask for Elliot to spend his hard money on her just to make her happy like she is determined to one day buy him something special something he wants. Sina wants to show him how thankful she is for him in her life.
Sina followed the man into the shop deeper as she look at the shelves wide-eyed excited. her hands trail some of the books, feeling them like they are talking to her. She looked at the corridor worth of books the vandor gestured to and she nodded. "Thank you very much Sir." Her excitement was hard to contain as she walked in deeper. She picked up a couple of books her eyes scanning through pages soaking it all in. She most of looked at about twenty books about magic and nevermere and other kingdoms. However, she walked back with about five with a cheeky grin on her face.

Once Ikisina came back holding about five books, he whistled as if he were impressed, then laughed. "Seems like you found some interesting books there." He laughed and looked around. "If you don't mind, are you alright with heading back or going off by yourself after we've paid for the books? My knees are starting to kill me." If she agreed, he would go ahead and pay for the books before returning to the home.

Sina laughed softly. "you should of expected this letting a bookworm like myself loose into a bookstore." She smiled as they walked over to the counter. "If you okay I would like to see more of the town before heading back. I try and not be long." She smiled. She was eager to see the beauty of the town. This place seems amazing.

"Of course, dear", he replied with a smile. He had paid the bookshop owner for the books and had bid him adieu before turning to Ikisina again. "Just try to be home before the sun sets. I don't know, I'd be worried if you were out in the dark by yourself."
Before making his way out of the door to return to the home they rented, he put his arms around Ikisina to give her a hug. "See you in a bit."
