[ For Magda Ivanova ]
Despite being nobility, Warren wasn't someone to pay much attention to the political affairs of Nevermere. He focused on his job, which was training soldiers. But recently he'd been called into Hadrian Usher's office and given the opportunity of promotion from Lieutenant to Captain. The responsibility might not have seemed much greater, not too different from what he was already doing just on a larger scale, but it came alongside the request that Warren also help Hadrian with the rebuilding of the city of Zulu Carr.
These two changes meant that Warren would have to become a little more aware of the politics that surrounded the Nevermeran military, their movements in Coheed (and Cambria), and the opinions about the rebuilding of the destroyed city. Warren never did anything half-way. He took his job seriously and he'd spent a day researching and familiarizing himself with as much current information as he could on Zulu Carr, Coheed, and the Nevermeran officials who were involved - including one Magda Ivanova. Hadrian had been underselling her involvement in Coheed during their conversation. As minister of foreign affairs regarding Coheed, it was only natural that she would become close to their leadership, but that wasn't all. She'd married the governor of Coheed. Meaning he'd have to be especially careful in the way he handled this.
As he made his way through the palace, he nodded to or greeted those he passed. He took a sharp turn outside as the sun shone into his eyes and his view changed from stone walls to vibrant green gardens. It was rare that he found himself looking among the foliage and now that it was Autumna, some of the trees and plants were turning, but they remained beautiful. He caught sight of the woman he'd planned to meet and approached her confidently, and respectfully, as he did with anyone else.
Bowing appropriately, he pressed his hands behind his back. "Lady Ivanova, it's a pleasure to finally meet you formally. I'm Lieutenant Warren Woodwick. I hope the day finds you well?"
