The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

Change in how times flows. Was 4 IC seasons, now only 2 IC seasons per 1 OOC year.
5 whole years of Heir Apparent goodness! When I started the site, I knew I was hunkering down for the long haul, but I never could have predicted the numerous twists and turns this roleplay site has seen. Hundreds of plots, characters, and members have come and gone, all leaving marks on the site. I am so very thankful for those who have invested. Because you keep coming back, keep getting on, and keep writing, Heir Apparent has the legacy it does today. Three cheers to us!
Zevran barked a laugh and nodded, "I will most certainly tell you if you become insufferable. And then I'll just leave you hanging by your axe next time." He continued chuckling even as they walked forward through the garden.
After they had reached the shed and he had pulled her up beside him, he smiled at her and squeezed her hand as she took the time to take in the view. Then he plopped down onto the rough, drawing his knees up so that he could rest his arms on top of them.
He shrugged at her question, "When the only place you're really allowed to go is the castle grounds, you do a lot of exploring." He looked out over the garden, rolling his eyes as he caught sight of the two guards always on his tail, just hovering back on the garden path. "I prefer not going out into public when I constantly have guards with me."

Zarha playfully jabbed him in the side with her elbow, not to hard to hurt him but enough to know she is playing with him, giving him a cheeky wink on the side. Laughing at that statement, "Well you know me I do just love hanging around." She can't remember the last time she laugh this much, it was a good feeling. A feeling that she welcomes and is accepting more.
She looked at him and feeling him squeeze her hand made her blush a bit but she looked away to hide it. She sites down beside him and she looked towards the guards as he spoke about them. She looked at him taking him in for a moment thinking. "It feels like you are more being watched then a visitor?" She asked.
"If only there a way to get rid of them." She thought outloud. "Only for a little bit."
He huffed a laugh and shook his head, setting his chin down on his arms that lay across his knees. "Trust me, I could easily get away. All it would take is Rune blinding them with darkness and then I could just leave without them seeing where I went."
Then he shook his head, "But no, I need to be on my best behavior. I can't give the King any reason to refuse to help us. If I mess around like that, I could harm all of my people."

Zarha looked at him and she place a arm on his arm, giving him a reassuring squeeze giving him a week smile. "We will help your people out Zev. You are an amazing person, you managed to get me as a friend, somehow. That a task in it self." She laughed softly. "I can be stubborn and we will fight with you in this." She would try and at least fight along side him, well that is up to her superiors decisions on where she will be sent.
Zevran chuckled quietly, "Thanks, I really appreciate it. I'm just trying to do my best." If he left the most obvious issue unspoken, that it didn't matter how badly Zahra or Ber or any of them wanted to help him. The decision rested solely on the King's shoulders and until he made the call to help them, none of them would be doing that.
He leaned over and bumped shoulders with her, "Well, no matter what, I've enjoyed getting to know you. It's made the time we've spent here go by faster, having friends and all." He fell quiet, a sudden pang of homesickness sinking into his stomach. Not for Elderkeep, but for Luka, Ermir, Embric, and all the others he left behind.
A companionable silence fell between them, broken up by bits of small talk as the night carried on around them.
