The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

5 whole years of Heir Apparent goodness! When I started the site, I knew I was hunkering down for the long haul, but I never could have predicted the numerous twists and turns this roleplay site has seen. Hundreds of plots, characters, and members have come and gone, all leaving marks on the site. I am so very thankful for those who have invested. Because you keep coming back, keep getting on, and keep writing, Heir Apparent has the legacy it does today. Three cheers to us!
For the most part, Oriana found it easier to talk with men in her new life. Kiana had so far been one of the few exceptions, but Tallis seemed to be a potential addition. She had no plans on making friends or anything, but there was nothing wrong with having a little bit of fun.
"Well Lady Tallis, one of the days after your fancy dinner we'll have to go." And it was something the seamstress already found herself looking forward to. It was like getting to put a foot into her old life while staying safe in the now.

Tallis smirked. “It’s a date.” Whatever she might mean by that would remain unsaid. Perhaps something, perhaps nothing at all.
She stepped forward, running her fingers across the fabrics Oriana selected if she’d allow. “I do believe I’ve found my color,” Tallis said, looking up at Oriana with a playful smile.
"Perfect." Oriana didn't even think twice about the word date getting thrown around. The thought of any lady thinking of her as company was surprising enough that it didn't even register.
And now there was work to be done anyways. "Could not agree more my lady, that will just about take your guests breath away I think." One of the many things that Oriana wished for herself. Sashaying her way around a dinner party. But alas, life was what it was, and she planned to play the cards she was given the best she could.

Tallis chuckled. Picking up the bolt of fabric as if she worked there and following Oriana wherever she would lead. Tallis’s was no idle offer. She intended this not to be her last fitting with the enchanting Miss Dumont. That, and the knowledge that Cezar would be pleased with her new frock, was enough to put a wide smile on Tallis’s face.
