The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

Change in how times flows. Was 4 IC seasons, now only 2 IC seasons per 1 OOC year.
5 whole years of Heir Apparent goodness! When I started the site, I knew I was hunkering down for the long haul, but I never could have predicted the numerous twists and turns this roleplay site has seen. Hundreds of plots, characters, and members have come and gone, all leaving marks on the site. I am so very thankful for those who have invested. Because you keep coming back, keep getting on, and keep writing, Heir Apparent has the legacy it does today. Three cheers to us!

Nevermere was on the move. Its military had always been formidable, but now the Nevermerean war machine was gathering speed. Claiming Coheed and Cambria was just the beginning. The establishment of the new city, the arrival of the Dresmondi…rumors of Nevermere’s future conquests rumbled like drums of battle in the distance.
A call went out to the people of Nevermere. New recruits were needed; witches and soldiers willing to dedicate themselves to full-time military service. Those who signed up would be offered a modest sum, though for commoners it would seem a fortune. For nobles, it would only be pocket change, but the prestige of answering the king’s call to service would be worth more than any amount of gold. Current soldiers would receive a bonus of an equal amount, so long as they committed to at least five more years of military service (breaking this contract would be unwise).
New orders went out to the occupied lands. Many soldiers received word that they were to return home to Nevermere. There, they would receive new assignments, as would their counterparts who were currently training within the kingdom. It would be moving day, but not before a festival that would celebrate Nevermere’s military might. The festival could consist of a parade, a tournament, and a great military ball. Soldiers hummed with electric chatter as they packed their belongings and prepared to make the journey home.
Yes, things were happening in Terra Nova, and there was no better time to be a soldier in service of one’s kingdom. Or at least, for now.
