The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

Change in how times flows. Was 4 IC seasons, now only 2 IC seasons per 1 OOC year.
5 whole years of Heir Apparent goodness! When I started the site, I knew I was hunkering down for the long haul, but I never could have predicted the numerous twists and turns this roleplay site has seen. Hundreds of plots, characters, and members have come and gone, all leaving marks on the site. I am so very thankful for those who have invested. Because you keep coming back, keep getting on, and keep writing, Heir Apparent has the legacy it does today. Three cheers to us!
Elletta forced down a grimace. Shit. She opened herself up to that she supposed.
"Prolly closer to Cambria, as the crow flies, if I'm guessin' right. Ain't been home since I was twelve and don' much care to." She reached down to grab the canteen at her feet and took a drink."Much prefer Skia. If I'd've gone home, only woulda ever been a tavern girl." Her lip curled, more at the thought of going back home than anything else.
The woman's accent was coming out more now that they were talking about her home and Bex found it to be...charming. Looking at Elletta she could imagine her as a tavern girl. She'd probably get plenty of tips and unwanted attention like most did. "Well then I'm glad you got out. You're far better suited to be a soldier." It wasn't meant to be a compliment necessarily, Bex wasn't good at that, and she always thought that more women should join the army, but still. Certainly better than being a tavern girl in a small village.
Even if it wasn't meant to be a compliment, Elletta took it as one because she genuinely did enjoy her time as a soldier. "Thank ya. Real glad ta be a soldier, and cain't really see myself doin' much else."
Well, Bex wasn't really sure where to go from here. She nodded at the woman's comment and then a long moment of silence passed between them. "Well, I didn't mean to interrupt you. I suppose I should let you get back to it," she said, altering her stance to prepare to leave before she thought again about it. "Though I was just about to go and grab a meal. You could join me if you like," she suggested, perhaps a bit awkwardly.
Elletta considered the opportunity for a moment before she shook her head. She had arrows littering the training yard that she would have to collect. If they were still structurally sound, she'd be able to reuse them later.
"Thank you but I do need to clean the yard before I leave. Perhaps another time then?"
She'd finish her time in the yard before setting it up as it had been and scavenging the arrows that had been used. Then, she would return to the barracks until her shift began.
