A one-shot documenting the retrieval of Othello Allemeade 's enchanted ship.
Over the past weeks, Nevermereans had been working closely with Coheedsman to repair the docks. Days after the disaster, a mighty storm had rattled Coheed and pushed much of the wreckage out to sea. The witches were glad for it. It helped to have a clean foundation to build from, and the storm granted them just that. They could start over. Build something bigger, better, and entirely in Nevermere’s image; a port just as robust as Shadow’s Landing in Skia. Some Coheedsman were interested in trying to retrieve what was lost, but they would receive no meaningful support from the Nevermereans.
That is until the witches were told there was something to find.
An enchanted ship. The newly acquired gifted wanted his enchanted ship back, and the king was more than happy to oblige him. Hadrian was tasked with coordinating the plan for the ship’s retrieval, with Ellison Delaney running point on the ground. For the time being, Coheedsmen were moved to other tasks, and access to the docks and the surrounding area were restricted.
Days later, massive Nevermerean frigates rolled into port with cranes affixed to their vessels. Aboard one of them was a crate of potions that gave the drinkers the temporary ability to breathe underwater. Nets were cast down into the deeps, and up with it came the wreckage of the Drowned Canary.
It took over a week to find what they were looking for. For it wasn’t the wreckage of the ship that they were after, but the enchantments on board. After all, Nevermere had some of the finest shipwrights in Terra Nova. They could construct a vessel that would do the enchantments justice. With the booty safely in tow, the frigates left with plenty of soldiers on board guarding their plunder.
Cassian was notified that the enchantments had arrived. Whether he saw fit to alert Othello was his own business, and would be only a courtesy. It was not Othello’s ship anymore. Much like the man’s metal-bending gift, it was in Nevermerean hands. One that, no doubt, would prove useful in the days to come.
