After watching an exhibition of Othello's skills, Torsten decided that he needed to improve his own. He wanted to learn to use the shield more like a weapon so Tor figured the best person he could think of to go to for knowing available teachers, was Lieutenant Woodwick. But where to find him exactly? It was mid morning on a cold clear day so he could be anywhere at this point. A few people partnered off to spar in one area, the swords clanging and clashing while they shouted both encouragements and insults at each other. Some witches were working hard with their exlcusive partners and wielded their powerful magics with impressive skills.
The tall soldier noted a younger group leaving one of the trarining areas directly off the courtyard and his dark brown eyes followed them briefly. There were quite a few people taking advantage of the clear weather to step up their work and it only served to emphasize the already urgent tone of the Nevermere military. He tried looking for the Lieutenant but now some doubts were setting in. Woodwick's new promotion most likely had him far too busy to bother with the likes of a common soldier now.
Tor needed to be realistic about this, and he really was proud of and glad that Woodwick was his direct superior. That man seemed to have endless patience for even the wildest of them and he could always be relied on for whatever needed doing. Maybe he could ask somene closer to the courtyard? There were all types here today and hopefully he wouldn't just be walking around with his shield like a big dumb cluleless oaf.
Wait! That was the top of his head! He was sure of it! Torsten headed toward the courtyard entrance, looking first to see if the man was busy. He appeared to be in conversation with someone so Torsten stood a few feet away, waiting to see if he could talk with the Lieutenant when he'd finished. It was worth a shot right? The worst he could do was say he didn't know.
