Terra Nova, he hadn't even touched her and he had her feeling tingley and warm all over.
He'd challenged her, and she found herself shivering at the suddenly low tone of his voice. She had gotten so worked up with the flirtation and the booze that she didn't even have it in her to protest at the word "little."
Their game had turned into something else, something with more consequences...Rhedara woudln't call herself a prude, but she knew with certianty that this had turned into something she didn't have personal experience in.
She'd grown up near the docks and had seen and heard the kind of people that tended to hang around them. Sailors, dock workers...and painted ladies at some of them. Rhedara had seen the kind of look that Raff was aiming at her, the kind of look that she was sure would have her mother tying her knees together to protect her virtue, but it had never been aimed at her before...that she'd noticed, anyways. However, she had learned a thing or two from observation. She decided that now would be a good time to see if she had the nerve, the audacidy to pull off what she hoped would knock the wind out of him.
"The main event, huh?" she recalled something a friend had told her about just needing to smile to get her way, so she did. She let a smile slowly form as she watched his eyes, "Now that would be a tempting proposition, but..." she paused for a nerve-settling breath, "Something that I've learned over the years, while living near the docks," this time she closed the distance, and she dared get close enough that her lips almost brushed his, "Is that you should always leave them wanting more," she said the words slowly, the rythm of her words were almost a sing-song. She thought their lips might have touched on the last word, but she was focusing very hard to keep her voice steady and low, "So I guess my rebuttle question to you is," she said as she slowly pulled away, "Do you want," she paused, and rested her chin on her hand, "more?"
"And what would I get if I went to the ball with you?"
