[For Oriana Dumont ]
Acacia had been living in Loren for a little over five years, but only now she was starting to come out more. Previously, she would keep to herself, especially with everything that had happened to the Gifted. The woman had spent countless hours trying to figure out where her long lost twin would be, but over the course if these years, she had not been able to find any leads that actually led to something. Now the year had changed to 282, it was her time to own the city. She needed to come out more, make her face known and make a name for herself as a florist and a vendor.
But tonight it was time to get acquainted with the live in Loren after sundown. It wasn't too late yest yet, around 7:30pm, but the sun was down already. That was the biggest downside of wintertime: the sun went to sleep far before the people did. The cold, dark streets made her readjust her coat, wrapping it tightly around her body. It was an elegant, red coat with a fluffy, warm brim of fur around the neckline and the wrists. Red (and yellow) were both colours that could be strongly associated with the Gifted woman. She had painted her lips a gorgeous red as well, and it certainty caught many men's attention when she opened the door to the Bronze Lion.
Self-assured, Acacia made her way through the tavern with big but gracious steps. She ordered prunellé, a wine made of wild plums. Quietly, she settled in the back of the tavern so she could keep an eye on the people that were dancing and drinking. Long gloves covered her hands and lower arms, preventing her from showing skin when the sleeve of her coat slid back when she lifted her arm to take a sip of the drink. The tavern was a bit dark, apart from the torches on the wall, but this did not bother Acacia. Her eyes adjusted to the light quickly thanks to her gift, and she noticed a woman sitting at a nearby table. After staying seated for a few more minutes, she got up from the chair to walk over to the woman. "It seems like you can use some company", she said, raising one eyebrow and the corner of her mouth into a mysterious smirk.
