The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

5 whole years of Heir Apparent goodness! When I started the site, I knew I was hunkering down for the long haul, but I never could have predicted the numerous twists and turns this roleplay site has seen. Hundreds of plots, characters, and members have come and gone, all leaving marks on the site. I am so very thankful for those who have invested. Because you keep coming back, keep getting on, and keep writing, Heir Apparent has the legacy it does today. Three cheers to us!
Ever since Honora left with just a note Remiel had felt tense more on edge, but he did what he had always done shoulder it and move on. It didn't stop people from noticing so one night when a bunch of the farm workers got together to make a stew they invited Remi. Prior to this they had decided Remi needed to get out and told him about a gentleman's club in Loren,
A few days later Remi decided to go with his second hand, Victor, into Loren for a visit at this gentleman club. For all accounts and purposes Victor Creedy was a low ranking noble in Lorendale and he still had to work for a living.
"You wanted discretion? Right?" Victor whispered to Remi as they were lead deeper into the Mordha gentleman's club, heads turned and snapped in their direction, "No offense Rem, but you are a noticeable fella," Remi got what Victor was saying, Remiel was tall and had blue eyes and blonde hair, he was the truest definition of Allemeade.
"Yeah well, we're here guy," the pair were showed the bar and offered a seat just as they were asked for their drinks, "Two shots of your best," Victor ordered (afterall the boss said it was on him right?), "and what for you Lord Allemeade," Victor laughed and Remi smirked, "Cheeky Vic, cheeky, uh bar keep...," Remi leaned in closer to the bartender, "Lloyd sir, just Lloyd lord Allemeade," the bar tender leaned in close too, "Lloyd, let me get the same my friend here, and do you make more friends if you buy everyone a round or...."

"That's entirely up to you, sir", Lloyd responded, a bit uneasy with the question. He didn't want to make fake promises and couldn't say how the people would react to an Allemeade buying them a drink. Once Remiel had made his decision, Lloyd would go back to the bar to complete their order.
But what would the gentleman's club be without the owner walking around to make sure everything was going smoothly? The club hadn't been open for long yet, so Elliot liked to make sure that people were enjoying themselves. Prior to entering the room, he had been busy upstairs, crunching numbers and writing down new orders of booze. Now he was in the big sitting room, looking around to see if he saw any familiar faces. Instead he noticed a tall, blonde man. Even though they had never met before, it wasn't difficult to realise who this fellow was. The man walked over to the table with big steps and stood next to it, smiling at the guests. "Gentlemen!" he said, slapping his hands together and rubbing them. "Unfamiliar faces here, but I think I know who you are." He winked at Remiel and looked around for a chair. He dragged it over to the table. "Mind if I sit?" Before they could respond, the older man sat down and let out a sigh. "These damned knees", he chuckled. "Elliot Moore, owner of Mordha", he then said, introducing himself.
"I heard you speak at the community meeting. I think it's a nice thing you have going now, lord Allemeade. How's it going?"

Remiel and Victor were greeted by the owner just as their drinks were sat down by Lloyd. He felt he had heard the name Elliot before but couldn't truly remember still Remi welcomed the man with a coy smile, "Nice place you got here Elliot, can't say I've ever been in such a place," while he wore nice clothes neither Remi nor Victor looked as regel as some of the other men, "yeah it seems I can't just blend in anywhere anymore," Victor laughed, "Not with that blonde hair, I'm Victor Creedy mister Moore, Remiels second hand at the Keep."
Going back to Elliot's comment on the community meeting made Remi shrug, "Could have went better and could be better, but glad to hear that most folks think it was a good idea...if y'all could just go tell Scout Kane that and the Crown everything could go smoother," then he sighed followed by 'but', "but the way things are now I don't think it matters. Still, I got a few hands to help with rebuilding Non-gifted men and women, my own kind is afraid...not that I can blame them."

"thank you, sir", he responded with a big business smile on his face. "But don't worry, you're more than welcome here, whether you blend in or not, we do not mind here at Mordha." And with that, Elliot had managed to shut up the people around them that had been whispering to each other. He continued to sit there with a smile to give the people the time to feel bad about their whispers and gossip, but then continued by laughing at Remi's words. "I wish I could, I wish I could", he responded, dragging the words out slightly the second time he spoke them. Then he became more serious again. "I'm very sorry for your people. The crown out to stop pretending like you're any more dangerous than the non-Gifted." He sighed. "You should try to find someone on the inside to figure out what they're saying and planning. That, good sir, will surely benefit your Keep." He pointed at Remiel before taking a sip of his drink.

Victor grabbed his drink, "I'm going to say hello to some friends Remi," he wasn't much for political things and Victor wasn't going to be involved with what it was mister Moore had to just said, "Mister Moore have a good one sir."
With Victor leaving Remiel slowly took a drink of his liquor before turning his Allemeade blue eyes to Elliot, "So you are pro-Gifted? Rare these days honestly but I don't want to be anyone's enemy...how would I get someone on the inside? Someone I could trust anyways?"

"Of course, Mr. Creedy", Elliot said with that same old smile. He returned his attention to Remiel. His appearance was impressive. A tall guy, and his blonde hair definitely set him apart from the rest too.
Elliot nodded. "I am. I must say that I wasn't always like this. I mean, I wasn't anti Gifted, but I didn't know how to feel about... people like you, if you'd excuse me putting it like that. But then I met the wonderful Ikisina Navarro. She's an absolute darling and showed me that I didn't have to be afraid of the Gifted community." He beamed. He loved Ikisina. She was like family now, and he couldn't imagine his life without her in it anymore.
"I'm not sure about getting someone on the inside, though", he said, leaning back a bit with a pensive look on his face. "I try to stay out of the way of the people that work in the palace. They have eyes on me, anyway." He didn't forget his encounter with Amien Lysander.

"You know Miss Navarro? Sina?" Remiel ask with quiet disbelief, "I've been working with her and...her Gift, she's a real good kid," Remi added, "I know about the Baron's, that can stop if you need it to," and he left that to hang, Mister Moore could interpret that how he wanted it. He could even ignore it if he chose but Remi was serious regardless. He spilled on his drink.

He couldn't remember if Ikisina had mentioned knowing Remiel, but he wasn't surprised either way. She had been seeking out Gifteds, it seemed like, and he couldn't blame her for wanting to find people that understood what she was experiencing. He had asked her if she wanted to go and live at the Keep when Remiel had told the kingdom about it at the meeting. "She's an amazing kid", he said with a smile. "Truly a lovely lady."
He was surprised to hear that the man knew about the barons though. They had been less if an issue lately, ever since Dresden helped spread the gossip that they were cheating on their wives. Elliot leaned in a bit. "Perhaps it's best we talk about this somewhere a little more private?"
If Remiel agreed, he would stand up and show the man to his office.

Remi saw Sina as one of his own, well because she was but that meant she meant more to him for being Gifted. She deserved a good life being Gifted didn't make anyone either good or bad as most Non-Gifted saw, it was their actions just as it was the actions of Non-Gifted that made them good or bad not their lack of power. So Remiel did stand up with his glass of liquor and follow Elliot.

Remiel followed, so Elliot went up the stairs to his office, opening it and walking in. He gestured at a chair, do Remiel could sit if he wanted to. The older man walked to the other side of his desk and leaned against the wall next to the window, peeking outside for a moment before returning hid attention to the Allemeade.
"What did you have in mind?" he then asked. "The barons have been quiet lately, but I don't think they'll stay that way for very long."

Remiel sat and sipped his drink pondering, "You see that's the problem, Fischer Wyndham and his Son's did the same thing. That man and his people were so obsessed with getting at me and my family they didn't act to rashly about their moves, they took their time Mister Moore and you see what happened...you can't let this fester, because the moment we let our guard down they'll strike," Remiel would let that sink in with Elliot Moore.

Remiel's words scared him, because to hear the barons in the same sentence as the Sons, that was quite shocking. Could they be influenced by the Sons and would they do the same thing to Ikisina as they tried to do with Remiel? It made his blood run cold. "But what would we do about it? You nor I could use something harsh being traced back to us."

"You just let me handle that okay Mister Moore," Remiel wasn't sure what he was going to do or even how soon he'd act on whatever he was thinking but he was going to protect Sina because she was one of his, a Gifted, "And I'm not saying I'm going to go out right now and do something but I'd like to be made more aware of who we are dealing with," Remi seemed more tense then usual, "sorry, sorry," he placed his palm to the side of his temple, "I didn't mean to alarm you Elliott and if you want to forget the whole thing....we can. I'm just...I don't know...lost."

"No, no", he quickly said. "I most definitely want to get these barons away from Ikisina. You may or may not know their names, but let me tell you. They're called Joey Gaitan and Kurtis Tsui, they're young, probably in their mid twenties. And they haunt every nightmare I have." He became silent for a second. "I need them to leave Ikisina alone."

Joey Gaitan and Kurtis Tsui.
Remiel committed those names to memory for now, he would deal with them and he knew someone else who would likely help. He sighed heavily, "I'll deal with them for you and for Sina, for now we'll leave it at that if that's okay."
It was clear Remiel was full of tension from the strain of pressure on his face to the way he moved, "Ever since I was removed from my service to the crown I've been so tense, I guess you can take away the position of a soldier but you can never take the soldier out of someone....being a farmer again wasn't easy to take back, Sina has helped as far as training her goes and I appreciate that."
