The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

Finally, after a lot of research, the youngest future blackwood was starting to make some headway on the next step in her and her uncles plans. She was deep into collar research. There was plenty of information of them if you knew where to look, and her Uncle Evander knew where to look.
But a collar would be difficult to place on a dyr. So she had to think of a different way to trap an animal. Maybe a cage? And even if not it still would have it's uses with people given it's size. But she would keep her thoughts positive as she started her work. And it wasn't easy work given it's size.
Item to be created: Cage - A brass cage that nullifies whoever or whatever's magic inside the cage. It is 5ftx5ftx5ft, and is always active whether or not the door is closed or not. The door can be closed or opened by anyone, but the lock is linked to a tattoo enchantment linked to the cage by the maker of the cage, no other unlocking enchantments work. [Shrine] Item rank: Rare Time to complete: 7 OOC weeks Completion date: 05/09/23 Number of replies: 5 replies slightly more than a week apart. *Details determined by Eloell. If you would like to create a combative or large scale enchantment, DM Eloell.

After pouring over research, Calanthe had managed to work up a sketch of what her creation would be. A cage made of the same brass that the collars were, 5 feet in all dimensions. It would easily fit a dyr. Maybe even a smaller person, although not comfortably that wouldn't exactly be her problem.
She'd also started to draw in the idea of the lock. It would make the cage specific to her, and that's what she wanted. A tattoo enchantment that would let her lock and unlock it... She continued her work, and started to gather the supplies that she would need.

The cage construction was hard work, but Calanthe was in the thick of it. The intercrossing metal was difficult to smelt, but she was up for the challenge, especially with her Uncle's encouragement. But this was her project, and her's alone. Wiping her brow she looked at her progress with a smile.
It might have been hard work but it was beautiful for a cage, the twisting brass that would withstand any and all magic. There were of course other parts to think about, and Calanthe was sketching out plans for how to keep whatever she captured inside it's gilded cage.

With the cage finished, standing five by five by five, Calanthe counted herself proud. And she also hoped that wherever her father was, he would be as well.
But there was no rest for the wicked, or in this case the motivated. And the next step was figuring out the lock for this cage. Well the enchanted lock that is. It would link with a tattoo she would give herself, making sure that only she would be able to open it. It made the cage hers, and she was proud of it.

Etching the finishing touches of her tatoo, Calanthe smiled at her own brilliance. She had added a paper crane tattoo above her freedom one, and it would allow only her to open the lock. Enchanting was artful and specific, and she had done it. With a smile she looked at the cage, door ajar and lock waiting to be used.
Her cage was complete. Now she just needed to fill it.
