The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

5 whole years of Heir Apparent goodness! When I started the site, I knew I was hunkering down for the long haul, but I never could have predicted the numerous twists and turns this roleplay site has seen. Hundreds of plots, characters, and members have come and gone, all leaving marks on the site. I am so very thankful for those who have invested. Because you keep coming back, keep getting on, and keep writing, Heir Apparent has the legacy it does today. Three cheers to us!

"School sounds like a wonderful experience," Io pushed himself up to balance on his good leg, reaching down to return his prosthetic to a standing position. "And certainly you'll give Lady Kane a good deal of trouble if her goal is to find a flaw within you. We all make mistakes to be sure, but you are a good person Annabeth. I believe you mean well in all you do."
And he did. Were some of her words and perspectives rather sheltered? Quite, but that was how most nobility were. Annabeth never intentionally looked down on someone due to their upbringing, though, unlike many of her peers. She likely needed a bit more lessons that could only be learned on the common streets of Lorendale, on the farms and in the forges. But all things in good time. He was simply glad to hear she would be out of the house and staying active. Io knew firsthand that isolation, and in his case drinking, only prolonged trauma and sorrow.
"You'd best get back home then," Io offered Annabeth a hand up, then her maid. "It was a pleasure to meet you Miss Lynn. Please keep Lady Annabeth and yourself safe on your journey home."
