KINGDOMS OF TERRA NOVA
The history of the land of Terra Nova is shrouded in such mystery that history books found within the same kingdom tell various, conflicting legends and speculation of the origins of the people and the people groups. What is surely known is that the land is no longer unified. It is divided into six kingdoms, and a seventh lingers somewhere just out of reach.TERRA NOVA
Size: Roughly half the size of Australia (1,300 miles north to south, 1,000 miles east to west)
Terrain: Beaches, forests, mountains, valleys
Total Population: RECALCULATING after recent battles

The following information contains the general statistics about the kingdoms of Terra Nova. Most educated men and women would know these generalities. As an OOC note, each kingdom is labeled as a lead, support, or minor to convey the kingdom's overall importance to the site plots as a whole.
LORENDALE [Lead]
Location: Center of Terra Nova; valley with a large forest and lake
Population: 1.4 million (standing army is 230,000)
Government: Absolute Monarchy, King or Queen
Society: Noble rank determines everything; gender equality; value propriety
Allies: Allies with Arynn Frey, understanding with Nevermere
Magic: Individuals born with various kinds of magical abilities, known as Gifteds
History: It is rumored that Lorendale is the remnant of the people who once established Terra Nova, but there is no evidence. At one point in history Lorendale was hostile towards all of its neighboring kingdoms, but since the rule of Leopold it has seen peace with Arynn Frey and less disputes with Coheed. Most battles or advancements on land in the last ten years have happened on Dresmond soil.
Current Plot: Lorendale is currently ruled by a child queen, governed by her gifted mother, the Queen Regent Marjolaine. Under her oversight, the military, especially those without gifts, have been disempowered, and gifted families have been empowered. There is great unrest between citizens of Lorendale, and tensions are rising yet.
NEVERMERE [Lead]
Location: West Coast; beaches and a valley surrounded by a mountain range
Population: 700,000 (with army of 280,000 and reserves of 150,000)
Government: Absolute Monarchy, King
Society: Military kingdom; complementary; value control
Allies: Allies with Arynn Frey and Cambria (tentatively)
Magic: Women are witches, men aged 23 or younger are witch-manipulated werewolves
History: Nevermere has historically kept to itself, largely due to its encasing mountain range, but also because of peaceful kings. The kingdom underwent significant changes under the rule of Julius Rainecourt, and has come out from behind the mountain wall and even seen war since Cassian Rainecourt began to rule.
Current Plot: The king has recently chosen a queen, began treaty negotiations with both Arynn Frey and Cambria, and has started to move their mountains into Coheed territory.
ARYNN FREY [Support]
Location: East Coast; beaches and open fields
Population: 2.45 million (Free Population (45%): 1.1m; Slave (55%): 1.3m)
Government: Parliamentary Monarchy
Society: No class structure and no great wealth divide; value reason
Allies: Allies with Lorendale, Dresmond, and Nevermere
Magic Strain: Citizens of Arynn Frey are capable of enchanting magic
History: Arynn Frey is known to be the most peaceful of all the kingdoms, though that does not mean they aren't prepared to handle threats. They delight in trading with the other kingdoms, and are historically known to be logical, calm, and quick to find compromise over brandishing weapons.
Current Plot: Recently, the queen recruited the help of Nevermere to stage a coup against the council of five that formerly reigned; Kimora regained the power formerly associated with her throne, and has since been reorganizing the kingdom.
COHEED [Support]
Location: Spans across north, central, and south Terra Nova; contains every kind of landmark
Population: 553,000 (83,000 warriors, 120,000 workers, 170,000 women, and 200,000 children)
Government: Tribal, Chieftain, Chiefs
Society: Male chauvinism; women are not seen or heard and only used for reproduction and labor; value honor
Allies: None
Magic: The citizens of Coheed are enhanced humans, from their strength, dexterity, or speed to their sight, scent, or hearing
History: Coheed hadn't always been the big, bad, bullies, but they seemed to take on that role over the decades. They do not win every battle but they have won every war for the last two-hundred years. They are expanding across the land mass and undoubtedly have intentions to turn Terra Nova into the Coheed Empire.
Current Plot: After internal unrest within Coheed, including the annihilation of tribes from within, followed by the aggressive assaults by gifteds of Lorendale, Coheed finds itself to be an injured, lacking kingdom. Their Chieftain intends to settle down and rebuild both villages and familes.
CAMBRIA [Minor]
Location: Northwest; mountains and forests
Population: 5,000 (2,600 are fighting age)
Government: Tribal, Chieftess
Society: Only women; value strength
Allies: None officially, currently protected by Nevermere
Magic: The women of Cambria are enhanced like the men of Coheed, with an added bonus of super strength
History: Cambria was established by the largest, strongest Coheed tribe whose men had all been killed in battle against Lorendale. The women banded together and demanded liberty from Coheed. Cambria has been independent since, and though at one time they were closely tied to Coheed, they have since departed from loyalty to the brother kingdom under the leadership of Zephyra.
Current Plot: The new Chieftess, Kore, killed the former in order to stop the downward spiral of the kingdom. The Chieftess now faces the occupation of Nevermerean troops and is carefully determining how to both protect and maintain her small nation.
DRESMOND [Minor]
Location: South Coast; beaches, open plains, and forests
Population: 6,800 (4,400 in Dresmond; 1,600 in Arynn Frey; 800 travelers)
Government: Largely ungoverned, decisions made by caravan Drivers and the Chosen One
Society: No class structure and no great wealth divide; value freedom
Allies: Allies with Arynn Frey, threatened by Coheed and Lorendale
Magic: Dresmondi citizens each have a dyr, an animal connected to them in spirit that controls an element
History: Dresmond is prone to keep to itself but is quick to react when goaded. They never start battles but they have been known to show up to them and finish them. They are coveted allies, but are rumored to be a people divided among themselves.
Current Plot: After the Coheed attack, Dresmond has found itself wounded and lost. They patrol their borders with extra caution and diligence.
HALLVALA [Undetermined/Undiscovered]
The only information known about this kingdom is that no explorers have ever found it; it finds them. Those who have visited this kingdom are disregarded as loonies or liars. Their descriptions of the kingdom entail people of unnatural beauty and grace, a land rich in gold and flowing with honey, a people who know no crime, and a fountain that is said to bring eternal youth.
