The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

Change in how times flows. Was 4 IC seasons, now only 2 IC seasons per 1 OOC year.
5 whole years of Heir Apparent goodness! When I started the site, I knew I was hunkering down for the long haul, but I never could have predicted the numerous twists and turns this roleplay site has seen. Hundreds of plots, characters, and members have come and gone, all leaving marks on the site. I am so very thankful for those who have invested. Because you keep coming back, keep getting on, and keep writing, Heir Apparent has the legacy it does today. Three cheers to us!
Waiola stands there as she listened. There was a lot going on with what was going on. Everybody seems to be voicing their opinions well she was here trying to make sense of what is happening. "Trust will take time, It won't be easy but trust never is and I am sure Odina is willing to work alongside us to gain our trust." Waiola know she is no one of important she was just a healer. For a lot of the women here, she have helped delivered their children, healed them. She doesn't really have much to say on the matter plus even if she did she feel like her opinion wouldn't matter because of her position within the village.
Revna watched as her sisters let themselves fall into the chains that they so desired. Apparently weakness had sunk it's teeth into Cambria far deeper then the priestess had expected. She had expected more from @grissa , especially after her earlier questions, but maybe she was just waiting. She looked at Grissa, and wondered if she was onto something. Well until she mentioned the Nevermere men, praising them and saying brothers of Cambria. It made her want to hurl that an elder thought men had a place in Cambria at all.
Looking directly at Grissa she spat on the ground to show her disgust in the woman for even thinking such things, let alone saying them aloud. Sure, she thought that as far as soldier went the one little one she had mentioned wasn't the worst. But it was because he was young, he hadn't grown into the long haired man, @raff , that was bristling out of the corner of her eye this entire time. He wanted a fight, and Revna would have loved to give it to him. But it would be pointless if the crowd around her were sheep.
And then Sigyn spoke up. She hadn't really thought the girl would be able to stay quiet forever, she had just hoped it would at least be after the soldiers had disbanded. They would never let her become a voice of reason now, and it made her grind her teeth in annoyance. Not at her sister, but at the injustice of this whole thing. And the fact that neither the puppet Odina Ellis or @norah seemed to be willing to address the crimes they had committed to put their little figure head in place.
"I assume your masters will be in attendance to make sure you say all the right things?" Her eyes bored a hole through Norah, hating that this woman had dared to ensnare more women in Nevermere's hold.
Raff felt someone's eyes on him and looked at @neela and her kids for a long minute and then @revna before turning away for a thoughtful moment. He kept an eye out for Neela and the safety of the kids now to make sure nothing happened to them should someone want to start a brawl at this awful time. Terach fervently hoped no kids would get trampled to death in a brewing fight--it would be his worst nightmare come true. It was out of his hands because the Captain was the only one who could give the order to attack or not and was completely in charge, not him. If Revna wanted to kill him, there wasn't really anything he could do about it.

Norah found herself locked onto @revna more than the others. It was clear who would be the one to take over what Isolde had been laying the ground work with in that moment. There would surely be more hands involved... but the voice... it seems to have easily shifted from one to another. And possibly for the worse. Hot headed, unable to hold her anger back from the way Norah felt those eyes burning on her. She held her comments in about her speaking, because what Revna was failing to grasp was that this is just the way things were. Pity after all this time, she had failed to grasp even the simplest of court concepts.
Or perhaps failed was the wrong word... refused.
Deimos shifted at her side once more, the massive wolf rumbling a thought to Norah before she stepped back to him. A whisper, barely audible as she moved her face into the thick fur of his neck for his ear to hear only. Even with the enhanced hearing, with all the commotion and voices rising up of those who Norah was now quickly tallying to be those supporters of Isolde, and even the ones who might help lean more in the favor of Nevermere if Odina was able to weave the right web, those ears would not hear her words to the summoning.
At Revna's last sneering question, Norah's dark gaze was back to hers. She knew the next target in the Valkyrie's mind now... and Norah stood tall, unflinching, and lifted her chin as if to say 'I dare you, because it won't end well'. Before she turned a bored look to her and glanced at Odina Ellis... all while those amber eyes at her side kept a firm gaze set forward.

"If it is one of your own you wish to lead then prove there is one amongst you who can without hurting the ones you claim so vehemently to care for," Odina answered Sigyn but she didn't answer the other question because Odina knew exactly how it felt to have ones Mother...and Father...torn from her, murdered. Cast away and into a society where she was an outcast.
Sheathing the dagger behind her back she gracefully brought her hands back in front of her, "As I said and who I requested, I will see you shortly. There is nothing further from me, Lady Carter," she as offering the woman to speak further if she wished but as she passed she whispered to Norah softly into her ear, "I'll call for you after the meeting, I need them comfortable for a while..as comfortable as we can afford," Odina then began to head for her tent.
She was less than satisfied by Odina Ellis's response, and blew air out of her nose in anger. Sigyn would continue this conversation later in Odina's tent, because it was obvious that Nevermere didn't give her the time to do so in the presence of her Cambrian sisters. There were plenty of people more fit to lead this country. One of their own. Of course in Sigyn's opinion their leader should be @revna, now Isolde was gone. Ideally, Isolde would simply still be here. So she would turn around and walk away from the crowd.

Though his eyes continued to scan the crowd, they settled more often than not on @revna. It was up to the two women nearest him to handle the crowd verbally, and they were doing well. Although not everyone agreed with them - and they hadn't expected them to - no one besides Isolde's second in command seemed angry enough to cause trouble. Once she had been, more or less, silenced, Odina whispered something Warren did not hear to @norah and then took her leave.
If things were going to go sideways, they likely would have already done so. Warren made a simple gesture right his right hand, commanding the soldiers in the crowd to step back somewhat and give the women breathing room. The soldiers did so, but none left. Not yet. Not until the crowd was fully dispersed.
Warren and the soldiers nearest the crowd would be the last to leave, doing so only once everyone had gone about their business.
The fact that Nevermere ruled them was something Revna saw as complete and utter bullshit. None of them deserved a single part of Cambria, not even the horseshit. Yet they thought they deserved it all, including their leaders. She wouldn't let it stand, but she would be smart like Isolde had trained her. So for now she would just wink at @norah , keep her guessing despite the fact that the woman seemed to have figured her out. Maybe she understood though, after all she was oppressed by men in her life, and Revna was about to be pushed down by Nevermere one way or another.
Norah found that she stared at @revna as if she was the predator that had locked onto a rival. Not prey, for Norah was never going to look at the Cambrian as such a thing. But she held her gaze, even as Odina Ellis spoke and then turned the reigns back towards herself. Even as @warren made a move and the soldiers seemed to back off. She stared at the dark haired Cambrian with the constellations of freckles across her face. A wink was given, and Norah didn't take it as a 'everything is fine' gesture.
She didn't say anything else, instead she waited until Odina was gone before she would nod that this was the end of the announcement. Her eyes flashing to @warren, hoping he knew that this was not the end and that perhaps... she needed to send a message to Hadrian Usher.
Norah left, but was ever thankful that she had another set of eyes and ears in the form of Deimos to watch her back.
