The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

5 whole years of Heir Apparent goodness! When I started the site, I knew I was hunkering down for the long haul, but I never could have predicted the numerous twists and turns this roleplay site has seen. Hundreds of plots, characters, and members have come and gone, all leaving marks on the site. I am so very thankful for those who have invested. Because you keep coming back, keep getting on, and keep writing, Heir Apparent has the legacy it does today. Three cheers to us!

He chuckled and nodded. "That he definitely was." He stared ahead once more, starting to feel exhausted and drained. Talking about Coheed wasn't his favourite activity. "Everything after my demotion is a blur. I don't remember what happened to him exactly or when Kaalim became chieftain, but it seems like Coheed's doing better. But first, Cambria. Any advice?" He looked at Regan again, hoping they could move on to Cambria and away from Coheed.

Regan knew a shut-down when she heard one. And it was fair, she supposed. However curious she was, Regan figured talking about losing one’s home, family, and once-kingdom was not the sort of topic that made for casual conversation. She scowled a little and shrugged at the mention of Cambria.
“I’m not entirely what his majesty has in mind, however…” Regan thought and shrugged again, “I don’t know. Their Priestess is gone, so hopefully most of the rabble-rousers have faded into the background too. But I guess you might be more successful than reminding them than I….” Regan looked over, “That they need us. Some of them like to play that we’re their oppressors, but they invited us in when they couldn’t protect themselves no more—uh, anymore.”

He was a tad surprised that instead of plain advice, Regan took the question further. Saying she didn't know what Cassian had in mind wasn't necessarily criticism, but he hadn't expected it. But she was right, their priestess was gone. It also seemed that she put her faith in his capability of showing them the good influence that Nevermere had on their new territories. It put some pressure on him. He had to be on his best behaviour, but at the end of the day he was still a man, so who was to say how much they would actually listen to him? "Yeah", he responded, thinking over what he just heard. "Reminding them they asked Nevermere for help, and not the other way around, is important."
