The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

This fall and winter was a period of low activity for the site, but even so, the Dresmond board has continued to simmer with excitement. This kingdom has moved from distant side dish to a dramatic main course in the world of Terra Nova. A big shout out to members Heather, Nix, and Darkest whose high activity has helped lead it through a renaissance into a new era!
Sylas had been dealing in some very sketchy research, helped out by an anti-gifted man by the name of Fischer Wynhdam. While Sylas didn't have the same sentiments that the man did, simply because he didn't really care about the politics of gifted people in this kingdom, their work was able to align enough that they made a good team.
Inspired but the methods used to do his study, Sylas came up with the idea for an enchantment that could wipe the memories of people. So he began to tinker. This one would take some time but if he could get it right...it could change everything.
Item to be created:Neuro Void: A mind erasing enchantment. This figurine is small enough to fit into the palm of your hand and is designed to draw the attention of the person you want to use it against. There are four switches on the back which determine the length of time you want to erase from the person's mind: 1, 6, 12, and 24 hours. Once the switch is activated the eyes of the figurine glow a bright green from soul stone inside. In just a single flash of light the memories from that time period are completely wiped clean. Item rank: Rare Time to complete: 5 OOC weeks Completion date: 01/08/21 Number of replies: 5 replies spaced approximately 1 week apart. *Details determined by Eloell. If you would like to create a combative or large scale enchantment, DM Eloell.
It had been a tricky one and Sylas continued to work on this enchantment, motivated by how useful it could be but also fascinated by the concept. Once the sketch had been drawn he began to work on the figurine itself, made out of a green colored stone. He worked with focus and intricacy. It had to be absolutely perfect.
Once the shape had been smoothed he started working onto the more intricate details of shape and color. If one mistake was made it might effect the quality of the enchantment at the end. Given his work with the gifteds in Loren he already had ideas on how this might be used. He still hadn't told Kezia about the collars he'd altered. He had to admit he was afraid how she might react and he...well, he didn't want to lose her.
With the shape put together it was time to apply the actual enchantment into the stone. It was methodical work but work that Sylas truly enjoyed. When it came to enchanting he was very good with his hands. He worked long hours locked away in his workshop, though found he took more breaks than he used to just so he could go visit with Kezia and Raiden.
Finally it was completed! Sylas looked at the item in his hand with glowing pride in his dark eyes. Oh what a gloriously useful tool it had been. He had tried it out on a couple of slaves to make sure that it worked properly and was absolutely delighted with the results. This was definitely something he'd be keeping safely in his pocket and unknown to others.
