The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

This fall and winter was a period of low activity for the site, but even so, the Dresmond board has continued to simmer with excitement. This kingdom has moved from distant side dish to a dramatic main course in the world of Terra Nova. A big shout out to members Heather, Nix, and Darkest whose high activity has helped lead it through a renaissance into a new era!
Norah only had one night and morning to spend after the open court. Her adrenaline was still going from the event, and after filling her book till well past dark, she knew exactly where she was headed as she shut the door to her office in the castle. She had already sent a note ahead, of course not with just any messenger. Her messenger. Deimos. Knowing it would get their safely and not fall into anyone else's hands. She let him know that she'd be coming by to see him once she wrapped up her last meeting. And she did just that.
With a dark cloak on and hood pulled over her head, she slipped into the night and down to the Midnight House. She spent more time there than almost anywhere else when it came to the dark hours of the night. When she was in Nevermere that was. She wouldn't have it any other way either. After his sacrifice helped bring Deimos back, after their love confessions, she was constantly pulled to him by some invisible force. Like the strongest magnet on Terra Nova. She took every chance she had to be with him.
So when she dipped into the well known establishment, Norah would be instantly recognized by the doves there. A bright smile crossing her face as she looked for direction on where the owner of the establishment was hiding from her.

Particularly since his resurrection in the woods, Deimos had been squarely on Ravin’s side. So when the wolf came to inform Ravin that Norah was on her way, Deimos already knew that it was important he know precisely when Norah planned to arrive. Ravin thanked him, making preparations for his enchantress’s arrival. He was dressed as if it were a special occasion - for indeed it was. Norah just didn’t know it yet.
He’d tipped his doves off downstairs. They’d know to direct Norah up to his room, where he’d be waiting for her. The room was lit with what looked like a thousand candles around its edges, filling it with flickering amber light. His heart raced as he paced in the center of the room.

As she caught familiar eyes across the establishment, they seemed almost… too eager to usher her along. Pointing towards his room, which was where she would assume he’d be if he wasn’t moving amongst his customers. She didn’t waste much time or think twice on it, perhaps they just were glad when she was able to make it to see their boss while she was in town.
Once she slipped behind the curtain that lead to his room, she lowered her hood and took the path to his room with steady steps. She was working the ties at her throat when she entered the room, ready to purr his name but she was stunned silent by the sight of his room. Candles lit across the space that twinkled and made the space look almost magical. She shut the door with a soft click and tilted her head in question. “Testing out the lighting?”

Norah was transcendental - a being crafted by magic that could not possibly exist in their realm. With just one look he was her captive, the candlelight caressing every elegant curve of her features. It was breathtaking, rendering Ravin speechless, unable to answer the question with anything but an incredulous smile. Ravin walked forward and took over the task of slowly unlacing the tie of her cloak, letting it fall to the floor once it was free.
“Norah…” Ravin put his hands on the sides of her face, stroking gently and with wonderment. She was not of this world, he was convinced of it, but yet she’d become so much a part of him that her absence made him ache. He kissed her again before grinning with the same mischief she’d seen dozens of times before, “The lighting…let’s see how it looks, shall we?” He drew her to the center of the room before stepping back to look at her. Just…look at her.

It never bothered her when he wanted to undress her. Even in the most innocent of ways, helping rid her of the cloak that would surely overheat her in a short amount of time. His sharp cheeks caught the shadows underneath and it drew her attention to the peeks of his face that caught the light. If he thought he was captive to her, then she was a captor that treasured her prize. One she'd keep close and planned to, to not let anyone steal him away... even if there was someone who already had in a way. She didn't linger on the thought though as he said her name, her shoulders instantly relaxing as his warm hands captured her face.
The kiss was met with a soft, content sigh, leaning towards him until he pulled back. Her favorite grin on his face which told her had done something. Or he planned to at least. Something that would be unorthodox and daring and would be an adventure. She was already signing up for it. Whatever it was. Just by the look on his face. Her returning smile had her eyes wrinkling just slightly. She stepped forward until she stood in the middle of the room, candlelight dancing across them as Ravin took his step back, leaving her there as he looked at her. A weaker woman would have blushed, but his gaze made her want to reach for her skirting and pull it higher. To really give him something to look at.
But not yet. Instead, her hands smoothed the front of her skirting and she let them rest purposefully at her sides. Her eyes locked onto his blues from across the space. After a moment, she moved to slowly turn in a circle, as if she was showing off the dress... or herself. Her chin resting on her shoulder as she turned around until her shoulder pointed at him. "How does it look, my Crow?"

Ravin’s eyes lit more brightly as she spun, her beauty resplendent at every angle. He almost didn’t want to answer, wanted to insist that she spin again so that he could watch the way the candlelight caught on her hair, the way the dress shifted around her curves. His expressions as one of absolute wonder. Ravin took in the moment, preserving it perfectly in his mind as his pulse rushed in anticipation of what was to come next.
“Almost perfect,” He responded playfully, a wicked twinkle in his eye. He stepped forward, gently taking her hand as he stood in front of her. There was a moment’s hesitation, his eyes darting with hers, vulnerable. Fearful, even. But the electric excitement in his features superseded it all. Ravin took something from his pocket. Slowly he slipped the object onto her finger: a ring, of a raven and wolf meeting to hold the jeweled center.
“Norah Emory Prowze,” Ravin started, barely keeping the tremble from his voice, “I was yours from the moment we met, and I want to remain so forever,” Ravin traced the scar on her palm as he held her hand as his eyes remained fixed on hers, “Norah, my love, my Enchantress…will you marry me?

The playful response had her eyes widening slightly in fake shock. Almost perfect. As if she should be offended by it. He was probably the only person who could say that and her not be offended by. He had worshiped her enough to know what he thought of her. She was perfect. To him. Perfectly imperfect in all the ways. Even how he looked at her told her just that. His hand taking hers was warm and soft, loving even. His eyes said so many things as he looked down at her, making her soften under him as she suddenly realized she saw a nervousness in him. One she had not seen before.
It was enough to draw her brows together, worry etched in the lines that were created between them. She wanted to ask what was wrong. Her first fear was the man he had told her about, the one he loved, had asked that he choose now. Between the two of them. And Ravin was now talking to her about it. Yet something slipped onto her left ring finger. It was cool and had just enough weight to it that she could tell it wasn't something simple. Her eyes left his to look upon the work of art. A crow. And a wolf. Her heart raced as he spoke her full name, lips parting as she looked up at him and watched the candlelight dance across his features. Those bright eyes of his catching the fire as it danced.
She swore the matching scar on her palm raised to touch him as he traced it. Like a cat arching under its owners pet. Tears filled her eyes as it all came together with his question. Her hand tightening in his as the answer fell before his voice faded in his room. "Yes." It was the answer she wanted to give. The one she would. It wouldn't be an easy thing, he was a commoner. Taking him as her husband did not rise him to her rank, not like it did in Lorendale. But he'd be hers, and she'd be his. They could work the details out later. "I will marry you." Her smile then was like a ray of sunshine. Bright, real, and warm. Her hands coming up to take his face between her hands and lifting to press a kiss to his lips.

With one word, everything changed. It was like for the first time in his life he knew what it was to breathe. As if he’d been living in a world of night and at least the dawn had broken. Norah would be his, wanted to be his. There were so many complicated knots they would have to untangle, so many obstacles they would have to overcome, but the wanting was what mattered most. He kissed her back, pulling her close with a heated touch as if he could melt them together into one.
Just as carefully as he’d undone the ties of her cloak, Ravin started to work on the laces of her dress. “Well, my enchantress,” Ravin pulled away just a little, a wicked grin on his lips and fire in his eyes, “It seems we have much to celebrate.” He pulled the laces of her dress free, letting it fall to the floor.

She wanted to reach for him, to pull him closer and forget the night. Yet she stood still as his hands worked on the ties of her dress, watching as his nimble fingers worked like an expert against her dress. The weight slowly slipped from her arms and fell to the floor, pooling at her feet as her eyes never left his. A garter belt was wrapped around one of her thighs with a small dagger sheathed carefully attached to it. It was something she had started to keep on her not long after the trial. Just in case she needed to protect herself. Though that clearly wouldn't be the chase with Ravin.
"Many things it would seem." She watched him for a moment, tilting her head and letting her hair flow over her shoulder, brushing the small of her waist. Though as she stood before him, only the garter around her thigh, she took a moment for herself. Her eyes moving as she living her hand between them, her dark eyes finally dropping to the ring for a close inspection. It could have been a lug nut off of a carriage for all she cared, but this... this was truly beautiful and it was hers. The two of them, Deimos and Raven, both mixed on the ring. The stunning gem in the middle caught in the firelight. "Ravin," she said on a sigh, approval pouring through her words.

The sound of her voice on his lips was like nectar.
Ravin caressed every gentle curve, burning his face in Norah’s neck before whispering softly in her ear: “I love you, Norah. With all my heart, body, and soul I love you.” For a moment, he lingered, breathing her in as if by inhaling her he could consume her beauty. The, Ravin started to kiss along her neck, slowly, gently, before nipping her in a playful surprise. In one deft movement, Ravin swept Norah off her feet in a princess carry, chuckling mischievously as he spun her around once in his arms. “Norah Prowze’s husband,” he said wistfully as if it were the only title in Terra Nova worth having. “As if I needed another excuse to be at your beck and call.” He dipped her, laughing with pure jubilation as he spun her once again. It was then he took her to the bed, dropping her on it as he eyed her hungrily.
“Though I must warn you, Lady Prowze,” The wildness was flickering playfully in Ravin’s eyes as he started to strip off, “I plan on taking my role as a husband very seriously,” He moved frantically as if he couldn’t get undressed fast enough. Finally, he was free, launching onto the bed and crouching on top of her. “Night after night,” He nipped her neck, biting a little harder than he had last time, “Time after time,” Ravin’s hands hooked around her thighs before she pulled her swiftly towards him for a more…advantageous position. "I’m going to take you as you deserve to be taken.” He grinned against her neck before finding her eyes once more, “And you will want for nothing.”
It wasn’t a title or riches he could promise Norah, but an untamed love that would burn eternal.

There was a shrill of pure, girlish laughter that left her the moment he swept her off her feet. The small nip had a gasp that was quickly covered by it. Her arms instinctively wrapping his shoulders and holding onto him, the smile so wide on her face that she was sure her cheeks would crack under the pressure. She'd always want this with him, she realized, the way he looked at her, touched her, said her name. It was addictive and seducing all at once. "I know you are not complaining." She laughed as once again her world spun.
Then they were moving, her eyes bouncing to their destination and allowing herself to fall onto the plush bed he had. It smelled like him, and her hair fanned out under her as she stared at him. Watching his hands work as he warned her. The wildness in his eyes was highlighted by the candle light that flickered around the room, making it dance in those light eyes of his. She hummed in response before he was lunging for her. Another laugh bubbling its way to her lips as he moved to the top of her, his words and lips playful and yet she knew he was serious. He actually meant the words. Even when his hands dragged her into him and she smiled up at him, she believed what he said.
She would want for nothing. "I will always want more time with you. That will be the want, and I look forward to you fulfilling it." Her hands tracing his on her thighs, before moving up his arms, lightly dragging her nails as she went before she brushed over his chest. "I must warn you, Ravin Laris Tracey," She started as he had. "My wifely duties are something that I will take great pride in. No matter how busy I may be, no matter what Lorendale or Nevermere or any of the kingdom's in Terra Nova throw at me, I will be by your side." her fingers moved up this throat, brushing against his jaw in awe. "And I will demand that you thoroughly and exhaustively ravish me on the regular." She grinned. Leaning up just far enough to slip her hands behind his head and urge him down to kiss her. "We will leave our mark on the world, together. My husband, you will always be."

Ravin’s delighted laugh was cut short when Norah pulled him towards her to kiss him. He kissed her back, smiling against her lips as a moan hummed in the back of his throat. Everything would change now. The life he’d so carefully constructed as a house of cards would have to be rebuilt with her at its center. It would be Norah, Norah, always Norah. And he couldn’t be more glad that it was the case.
“Always,” Ravin murmured, before doing exactly what his enchantress had demanded of him.
