A knock on the door startled Conall, he wasn't expecting anyone and as such, his mind instantly turned to Magda. Was this the very moment that he'd end up like Theo? If it was Magda on the other side of the door, a weapon would do him absolutely no good so he didn't even bother picking one up. He tossed back the rest of the glass of caramel colored liquor he was savoring before standing and heading to the door. He opened the door in silence, finding out who it was also didn't matter. If it was her and he told her to go away, it was unlikely she'd listen. It was just a matter of time and he knew it.

When he saw Liono there he sighed slightly, opening the door more so his brother could come in before peering out into the hall to make sure no one else was there. He shut the door, locking it, crossing his arms over his chest as he smiled faintly. "Brother, I rarely see you seeking me out. What can I do for you?" He asked as he walked to his liquor table, pouring a second glass and refilling his own. He walked over to hand Liono the drink while taking a drink of his own before returning to his desk to have a seat.

"I noticed brother, that congratulations are in order. Congratulations…" He said softly as he sipped his drink and watched his brother quietly.

Lio watched as Conall open the door and seemed to be a little on edge, he opened the door wider before he he walked in hearing it close behind him, he stoded in the middle of his room and turned to look at him as he said he didnt really seek him out to much to talk, "there is a few things i want to discuss with you about some of the things you said at the meeting before i go pick Quen up and bring her back"

he stopped there as Conall filled them both a drink and walked towards him handing him a a glass, he took the glass and heard him say Congratulations. he still hadnt told anyone that him and Quen were now married he didnt it was the right time, he looked at the ring on his finger before looking back at him, "thanks, but we can talk about that after" 

Lio started to move slowly round the room thinking of an easy way to ask him but he couldnt think of any, there wasnt an easy way to ask if your brother was sleeping with there cousins wife to be, "so, how long where you sleeping with her behind Theos back"

he was waiting on the speech coming from him he was head of the family so to speck, it was none of anyone's business what he did and who with, Lio knew what was going to be said before he said but he waited, just standing there looking at him as he sipped his drink

Conall waved him to continue as he spoke, stating he was bringing his wife here. He did not argue, they'd be welcome here as far as he was concerned. Though, for a moment he did worry about their safety with a certain someone wandering about. Liono thanked him for the congrats, and then dismissed discussing it further. Conall took another sip as he looked to his brother, waiting. "so, how long where you sleeping with her behind Theos back"

"Theodore had an opportunity to marry a woman who is… very good at getting information. He wanted nothing to do with her because he considered her below him. She did not want to marry him either. It is very likely he lived as long as he did because I kept her attention off him and appeased the monster within her. He knows I was attending to her. Theodore, father and I met and discussed things somewhat. Theodore made it obvious he did not want her and Father advised if I did, then I could have her. I told them both I would not be marrying her, and I told her the same thing. What happened after that I have no clue, how Theodore ended up dead I can only imagine and I have no doubt I will find out first hand. You will know, if I end up dead it is NOT by my own hand. You stay as far away from her as possible, you and your wife, she has a way about her, she is very good at getting what she wants.

He took a drink. "What happened between Magda and I is neither here nor there outside of now she's trying to sink her claws into our father. It was very much NOT like father to go to her, above his own daughters when they were crying. Something is going on. I should have not declined to marry her, I am more worried about father than myself."

Lio listened to him explaining how it was ok for him to do what he was doing, but that was Conall everything was his everyone's problem never his, in his sick world he was always right, Lio shock his head when he finished specking,

"so you think its ok to sleep with her before they broke up, Theo no matter what was family. and you sleeping with her before having the chat with him and father was a dick move on your part, no matter how much you try and explain it away, is it not, you talk about how family is everything and how important it is for you to have them by your side when you take over the running of this family but if you can do that on a cousin, what else can and will you do to keep your name on top, does the word family mean nothing in your empire,"

he stopped talking and took a sip of his drink as he looked at him, he was pissed of with him and was sick of just doing what he was told all the time, he had questions and wanted the answers, "why wasn't i told before today that he died, i mean you where able to reach me today to let me know there was a meeting, so its clear you knew where i was, so why not reach out before that and tell me he died, i could have been at his funeral, insted of this"

he seemed worried about Magda a lot more than he should, from the sounds of it she was just a woman who would sleep her way to the top getting what she wanted, come to think of it he was the same , "what have you done to find out if she has had anything to do with this, your meant to have people all over the place watching over things, you telling me you haven't looked or you have not been told anything yet, or do you not want to go looking, does she has stuff on you that can do more damage than your telling us, you say she has a way of getting information, have you opened your mouth at the same time that she's opened her legs and let spill"

Conalls concerns about there father was noted but he thought it best to seek him out and talk to him, why comfort this woman and leave his own daughters to stand there alone, it didnt make sense 

Conall clenched his jaw tightly at Liono's words, his steel gray eyes narrowing slightly as he took a slow steadying breath. "I will not speak ill of Theodore, Liono. The matter is closed, my loyalty has been to our father and my siblings, you included. Getting us to the top, whatever it took, was my plan. You being more upset than Theodore even was makes no sense and I will not further discuss it." he said sharply, taking another drink as he watched Liono sip his own before starting in on him again.

"I in fact did not know where you were. I let Artemis loose and she found you. It was a desperate hope that she'd find you not thought of right away because contrary to your belief I too was stunned and mourning. While Theodore was a thorn in my side the way he behaved I did care about him. You left, it is not my fault while you were gone the world did not stop moving. If you were concerned about your family, you would have been here. Do not blame me because YOU missed big things by leaving." his voice remained calm as he spoke, he was exhausted and really not in the mood to continue battling with his little brother.

"I have people trying to find out but she knows how to cover her steps. I have no news." his eyes narrowed again slightly and he shook his head slightly. "Is there anything else you'd like to say other than accusations of what a horrible person I am?" He asked as he stood, tossing back the last of his drink and pulling his desk drawer open, brandishing a dagger, blade in hand as he walked towards Liono, offering him the handle. "If I am truly as terrible as you think, do something about it, I won't fight, and you can take charge of trying to do best for the family even if it makes people hate you. I am quite tired of it. And when dad dies, it's all yours." He stood in silence, steel grey eyes on his brother, face devoid of emotion.

Lio laughed at him when he tried to get all powerful in his tone, saying this matter is over, he shock his head at him "this is over when i say its over, not when you do, lets get a few things sorted shall we" he snap back at him,

"first of all, i left for a reason, i didnt just wake up one morning and think i know what to do today lets pack up and move away for a while, i left to save my relationship with Quen, my now wife, the situation had changed voer night for her and we needed to step up and take action before it was to late, i never turned my back on this family, i was making my own, secondly, im not here to speck ill of Theo and im not asking you to do the same, im here trying to sort out whatever i can and to try to understand what the hell has went on, if your seeing that a different way maybe its your own actions in what you did that is causing that, and its up to you to sort it, are we clear on that"

Conall wasnt the only one whos fuse had been lite with all this shit, the only difference was Lio was ment to be the one who just followed them all and done what he was told to do, well not now and not no more, with the conversions he had before he left showed him that, no one was there when he needed them most as long as they were sorted to hell with everyone else, so he now had a new look on things and wasn't going to be the yes man anymore, he had a wife to protect and soon enough his own family to protect aswell, he eyes didnt leave his as he turned setting his glass down before he reached in his desk and pulled out a blade, he said for him to do something with it if he was as terrible as he thought and he wouldnt fight back,

Lio looked down at the blade in his hand and looked back at him "if i wanted to hurt you i wouldn't use that, we both know there is better things at my disposal to hurt you more than a dagger, but believe it or not i dont want to see you dead, or hurt, your meant to be the future head of this family but lately its clear you haven't been acting it, im not saying you cant have a private life but when your private life puts are family in danger you need to know you fucked up somewhere along the road, weather you want to admit that out not, why, just to get a little bit of information on someone or something to help your cause, was it really worth it in the end" he asked as he shock his head again  "i think we both know the answers to that, dont we"

he took a look at the blade in his hands again before knocking the rest of his drink back, and looking at him "lose the blade before you hurt yourself, and refill this" he said as he held his glass out to him 

Conall blinked at his brother's tone, had getting married and laid given his brother some balls? Conall listened in silence, he didn’t recall questioning why Liono had left, all he’d said was he had left and it was not his fault he’d missed out on Theodore’s funeral, or had not been informed earlier. He let his brother keep speaking though he didn’t quite care for his brother’s tone with him. Irregardless of anything else he was still his elder and he’d appreciate the respect, but right now he didn’t bother, tensions were high, there was no need to add to it. When Liono finished Conall spoke.

”Did I at any point question you why you left brother? I did not and I did not need a reason. You did what you needed to do, what you thought best for your family, be that yourself, you and your wife, or the Morrigan’s as a whole. I did not question your reasoning behind it and I did not go after you once I received the letter, to stop you. I trust you had what you considered good reasons for what you did. Whether I agree with the reasons, or the actions taken in the long run does not matter. It is your life to live not mine.

As to your second statement. Theodore was scheduled to die the minute our father betrothed him to Magda and he did not bend over to father’s whim. Had he given Magda’s the attention she wanted, perhaps she’d have made him a happy wife, I doubt it, but perhaps.”

When he offered Liono the weapon and Liono refused, stating he wouldn’t need the weapon to harm him, Conall chuckled slightly. ”Right… Well your witch isn’t here, and from what I have learned… you need her for that.” He listened to his brother once again bring up his relationship with Magda and he rolled his eyes moving back behind his desk. ”Again… I did not put our family in danger. Father did when he betrothed Theodore to that woman. I should have agreed to marry her, that was the only way I could have protected our family because I guarantee you little brother, Theodore would have died MUCH sooner had I not taken her attention from her disdain with being set up with him. I will not continue to discuss MY relationship with her. I do not ask about your relationship, I will no further discuss mine. You running off the Delaney daughter I am sure has won us no favors with that family, yet it happened. Now she is your wife, there is no point in dwelling on it any further. You made your choices, as did I”

His eyes narrowed again at Liono and nodded to the desk. ”You are quite capable of handling yourself Liono, you have made that clear. You can put the dagger down and you can get yourself a refill. I am not your servant.” he said quite shortly before sitting down in the chair behind the desk, taking a drink from his glass.

he looked at him and couldnt believe that after all this he still wasnt taking any responsibility for the actions he did, the fact of the matter was he slept with Theos wife to be behind his back evn if there didnt want to be together there is a code and him and his Horned Serpent broke that, but on the next breath says everything he does is for the good of this family, "i didnt say you said anything about me leaving you said  Do not blame me because YOU missed big things by leaving, i simple explained the reason why i did what i did"

Conall didnt like anyone talking back to him, he thought he had done enough for this family for people to respect what he said and did what he wanted them to do, so Lio talking back to him must have pissed him of a little more inside than he was going to say, regardless of what he thought Lio didnt want to fight with him but he made it hard to not want to punch him in the face every time he spoke, 

somehow Lio had ended up with the dagger in his hand as he walked away to sit on his throne telling him to refill his own drink and how he could set the dagger down himself, the fact he thought he needed his witch here to hurt him made him laugh, he didnt even thing Conall knew how to throw a punch, yes he could talk the talk but he knew when push come to shove he wasn't a fighter, 

Lio looked at him as he flipped the dagger to be holding it by the blade, he pulled his arm back and throw it towards him stabbing the tip into chair he sat on a few inches away from his head, "its your dagger, you would be best putting it away, you might need it to hand from the way your talking" he walked over and poured himself a drink and walked back to sit in the chair in front of him as he took a drink 

"so now what, whats the plan here with father and Magda, how are you going to stop happening what you think is going to happen, if she is to blame for Theos death then something needs to be done before we lose anymore family members"

Conall didnt bother continuing to go back and forth with Lio about anything else he said. When the dagger found solace in the chair beside his head, he rose a brow and pulled it from the wood. ”Nice throw” he said shortly, dismissing the action and Liono’s words as he took another drink and began to look at some papers while Liono refilled his drink and then sat before him. "so now what, whats the plan here with father and Magda, how are you going to stop happening what you think is going to happen, if she is to blame for Theos death then something needs to be done before we lose anymore family members"

”I have people searching for answers but nothing has been found. I called that meeting to discuss it with you all. She is intelligent and has some way with people so those that know the most, do not give information.” He frowned slightly as he tossed the dagger on the desk and looked at his brother. ”Please heed my warning Liono. I have no doubt she will do whatever she can to seduce you and your wife, she is no picky woman. I should have just married her and made everyone happy. Either way, stay far away from her.” he just shook his head slightly as he pondered things and leaned back in his chair and took another drink, watching his brother quietly.

He brought his hand to his face, rubbing his chin slightly as his steel gray eyes remained on him and he smiled slightly. ”I am glad you got married, you deserve to be happy brother. I hope I can keep you both safe, but as you said, you’re far more dangerous than I am so you don't really need my help. I am not sure where you are staying, but as far as I am concerned, you and your wife are welcome under this roof…. Though I can not promise father will say the same thing, nor can I say that I think that is the safest option… with Magda wandering around here, doing god knows what… you and your wife may be safer staying away until whatever she is doing is found out and handled.” he said softly, meaning nothing but the best for their growing family.

he smiled at him when he pulled the knife from the chair and said good throw, he still wasnt sure why he was so scared of this woman, the amount of people that wanted him dead before didnt bother him, but this one was getting to him a little more than he would like to admit, it was all a little strange, he shrugged of the comment about her trying to sleep with him, no amount of drink or getting pressed by someone would make him do that to Quen, after what they had to do to be together it wouldn't happen, but he would take his warning and as soon as Quen came home he would tell her everything and make sure she was on guard at all times when they were apart,

he sat and listened to him and didnt know if he was being real or if it was just him being him, when he said he was happy for him, if father had a problem with them staying there, it wouldnt be hard to find somewhere close by, Conall had always been a abit of a knob and thought he knew best, but if in fact he was right and Lio was stronger than him surely it would be best for him and there family if he stayed close to them, he had his skills and Quen had hers, that could surely help out if needed, Ellison was no longer living at there family home and Rosa was the same, so if anything was to happen he would be here on his own,

"i dont think me and Quen staying away is a good idea, if she is up to something maybe its best that there is someone here incase you need help, after all at the minute you dont have anyone around you there all off doing there own thing, and if all this is true with father getting close to her its clear you cant relay on him to help, and if thats the case who have you got to watch you, i get it your scared even if you dont say it out loud and your trying to fix it and keep people safe, but unless she is held accountable for what happened to Theo, if in fact she did have something to do with his death, it wont matter where any of us is living, if father makes her a Morrigan then what, who will have have control then, who's saying the same thing doesnt happen the father as what happened to Theo"

Conall took another drink before standing to refill his drink, just bringing the bottle to his desk, filling his glass and setting the bottle between them as he took another drink, his eyes narrowing slightly. The things he could tell his brother… but no… his brother having plausible deniability was better. He listened to his brother’s thoughts about his suggestion that he and his wife stay away and he shook his head slightly. ”If I were more of a coward, I would say I agree… I want you two here for my and fathers protection. However… When father dies… as far as I am aware I am heir… when I die… I have already written a will stating if I have no children you will take over the family. It is the way anyway, but to make sure I have added the instructions to my will, already. Rosamere and Ellison are safe, not in this house as you have said, I am not as worried about them.”

He took another drink, cracking his neck slightly as he tilted his head before continuing. ”I just think it is wise to not have all our eggs in one basket, having all three of us… Father, Me and you in the same house, in her grasp. If she gets her claws into father, I will need to do what I can to stop her. You have a family already started, you will be a father soon god willing and you need to protect your wife and children. I will handle Magda, somehow. Hopefully she hasn’t gotten her claws into father, but I am not sure I can believe that is the case with how he behaved at Theodore’s funeral, I really do not think that is the case unfortunately. And if father makes her a Morrigan, god help us all because I can’t honestly even come up with what we will do. She is not an extremely powerful witch… her power is in her lack of caring, lack of heart. She will do anything to get what she wants, that is why she is useful, but it is also why she is so dangerous.”

He rubbed his temples again before taking another drink, shaking his head before tossing back the full glass and refilling it, once again looking to Lio. ”What happened to Quen that required you jump the gun by the way, it doesn’t matter, just curious.” He wondered if his sister in law was pregnant already but he would not flat out ask. If she was, that would be great as far as he was concerned, continue the lineage as soon as possible.

lio sat there and listened to what he was was saying, thinking if he could stay away as easy as his brother would want him to, he was right with some of the things he was saying, Quen was now in fact his main priority and there future had to come first, he always knew Conall was born to be head of this family but not once did he ever sit and think to himself that he would take over if he was dead, sure it was talked about but he never payed attention to it, he didnt know how he felt about it, was he really strong enough to make the calls that they made, some might have been the right call but he knew there was also a lot of calls that should never have been made, right now he didnt know, he still hadnt spoke to there father about him leaving the way he did and still wasnt sure if he would be welcomed back, the look on Ellsions face tonight showed just what was in store when he said he was home for good,

"your not dead yet, so talks of me taking over after you is way of yet"  when he said about him being the one to handle Magda maybe he had something up his sleeve, maybe he did have a plan to get rid of her, knowen Conall he had maybe even thought about getting rid of father before he did something stupid that would impact all of them, maybe he just didnt want any of us to know so it couldnt come back to us if it got out, but if he did have a plan hopefully he would act on it sooner rather than later, cause the longer he left this the harder to act on it it was going to be, but time would tell, 

"if we cant stay here for whatever reason be it for are safety or if father says so, i will need to get me and Quen somewhere close by that we can live in and afford, we dont even know yet if we still have jobs after going AWOL, Quen has a dream that she wants to breed horses, its more of a passion of hers and maybe i can help make it real for her, maybe i could say its a wedding present, i dont know, but if i can find somewhere big enough with stables or big enough to build stables on are lands we could set up there, so if you know anywhere"

he brung up the Question of why they skipped the way they did, he was sure Rosa would have said to him more so than Ellison, but maybe they didnt "Quens parents had arranged to wed her of to some random person and said it because of her actions in the things we where doing, but if you ask me it sounds like its a bit more than that, after what Ellison and ben did it didnt take them long after that to set the wedding up, the actions we took that night was to make sure that wasnt going to happen, even if we did leave on bad terms with some people they will just have to deal with it, were married now and there isnt a thing that can be done about it" 

Conall chuckled when Liono said he wasn’t dead yet and shook his head. ”Brother, I signed my death certificate when I got involved with her. We both know it, I expect it and quite honestly, don’t know that I don’t welcome it. We both know you make FAR better life decisions than I do, you are an honest man and have much more going for you than I do in the long run. As for staying here, I do not know what father will have to say to you about your vacation. You are not the first or last Soldier to go AWOL I am sure. Will they want to lose 2 good soldiers over it? I can not say but I would hope not. Will there be punishment, I am sure there will, possibly to the extent of you both losing rank but overall losing your jobs? They’d be foolish.”

Another sip as he listened to Liono speaking of Quenya’s dream and he smiled slightly. ”Is Liono the soldier going to be Liono the farmer?” he teased playfully before taking a more serious tone. ”I know people… I will see what I can find for you, just give me a few days. A wedding present for you both and if father declines to buy it, I will use my own funds. And do not argue, if it makes it easier, consider it selfish of me, securing your place as heir if I die.”

He took another drink as he listened to Liono’s explanation of what had happened and why they were in such a rush, tapping his fingers on his desk lightly as he listened. ”I know the Delaney’s had been considering marrying her off for some time. Perhaps Ellison and Benny’s quick actions sped up their decision, perhaps your action’s sped up their decision. Who truly knows but it no longer matters, there is nothing they can do now for I can almost guarantee they will not suggest undoing it. We don’t do that here.” He pondered something in silence as he continued to look at Liono. ”When you do go to talk to father, I am very interested to know how it goes. I would offer to go with you but you will probably fend better without me there.”
