The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

This fall and winter was a period of low activity for the site, but even so, the Dresmond board has continued to simmer with excitement. This kingdom has moved from distant side dish to a dramatic main course in the world of Terra Nova. A big shout out to members Heather, Nix, and Darkest whose high activity has helped lead it through a renaissance into a new era!
"it is so closed here, how do these Lorendalers live so on top of each other? It's stifling," complained the Dyr on the shirtless man's shoulder, her name was Tana and the very hot muscular man who limbered through the market was Fintan. They were Dresmondi, or refugees as the whispers went. Eyes seemed to gravitate towards the man, either because of Tana a harmless monkey as they saw her or because he was shirtless. Tana figured it was both.
Fintan carelessly navigated between the vendors plucking a few berries or cherry tomatoes to feed between him and Tana when he did speak to her he did it out loud instead of through their link, "why do you think I picked the market? Fresh...fresherish...air. Women," she responded to that with a 'ugh' but Fintan ignored it, "I don't think they've seen a man like me, I could show these girls a thing or two," she chimed in, "you are half naked Fintan, you aren't leaving much to be discovered. Plus you are talking to your 'pet' monkey, they assume you are crazy..."
"To assume makes a ass of you and me," and he chuckled, she wouldn't admit it but she snickered a little inside. They were both then approached by and elderly man, very short compared to Fintan, "young man, of you have any respect for us older people can you find a shirt? I..I don't know where you come from but her men are respectful!"
A small crowd had began to gather, staying out of it as far as input, but their interests were surely peeked.
The town square market was a lot more elegant that Idothea’s home. Their market consisted of low income produce from the nearby farms. This market had everything from jewelry to gowns, food to weapons. Even the people were more elegant. They walked around laughing in their tidy clothing. Jewelry placed on their necks and wrists as if there wasn't a care in the world. There was even a man with a golden looking monkey on his shoulder. This place had everything you could desire. Well almost everything.
Idothea desired an uncrowded place to gather her thoughts. It had only been a few days since she had fled her little town. She was probably labeled as a murder by now. They probably have found the corpse of her late husband and figured no one else was to blame but her. Either way she was far enough away to not be in immediate danger.
So, she strolled through the venders. Giving polite smiles but not staying put to talk. She couldn’t buy anything anyways. What little money she had was to get her closer to the kingdom in hopes maybe the heat would die down. After that, she was just going to wing it.
While walking Idothea’s eyes settled on an emerald jeweled necklace. It was pretty. The green shimmered, swirled and mixed with the gold from the chain. She could sell it and maybe get a good chunk of change.
Her eyes glanced up to the merchant who was promptly conversing with a large breasted woman. The laugh from the woman was loud and obnoxious and Idothea cringed. She would never be that loud of a woman.
Reaching down to ‘fix’ her shoe, the woman swiped the necklace. Only the keenest of eyes could have seen her, but with the glare of the sun it 'seemed' no one had. Well at least the shop keeper didn’t.
Standing back up, Idothea ambled forward, not looking around. She didn't want to seem suspicious as she prayed to the gods no one saw her .
