The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

This fall and winter was a period of low activity for the site, but even so, the Dresmond board has continued to simmer with excitement. This kingdom has moved from distant side dish to a dramatic main course in the world of Terra Nova. A big shout out to members Heather, Nix, and Darkest whose high activity has helped lead it through a renaissance into a new era!
“well I mean, why not? I am technically in debt to you, whatever you say goes” she gave a smile to hide the bitterness.
She wasn’t free anymore. In debt meant that a collar and chain had been placed on her free will. She couldn’t leave. She couldn’t do what she wanted. Idothea was in the service of this man, but its not like she spent her life pleasing others.
"i'm not too picky, any place will do. I'm just unfamiliar with this area"

He picked up on the hidden bitterness, the small smile and the dull tone in which she delivered her admittance of being in his debt resonated. Lucky for her Gideon just ignored it because everyone loved him (mostly everyone minus his Father and the old lames of the DeCarlo family) she would too. Eventually.
"I will get you set up and I will show you around," Gideon declared, "I actually have a few places just on the outs of Loren, real secluded but close enough to make it to work for me...I'll charge you a fair rent price, employee discount. You'll have your own small maids...the works...," Gideon didn't mind to flash his wealth.
Idothea didn’t bother to hide the eye roll as Gideon flashed his wealth. She had been in that position at one point. Granted, she never had a maid.
“Sounds perfect, but I do have some questions. Since you deal with the law, have you ever dealt with like big cases? Not theft or anything but like worse?” she made sure to keep her words nonchalant and air.
Holding her breath, she waited for his answer. Would he think she was making small talk, or expect something?

"Mmmm, I've sat during the proceedings of a murder trial and a few," he didn't like the word he was about to use but, "Rape accusation trials but that's it. Why are you in trouble?" he was half joking when he asked but then it kindly dawned on him, "Care for a drink and to talk about it?"
She had a lot of signs of an abuse victim such as he stealing for no doubt food or worse the crutch of a drink, the woman was flighty and with keeping but Gideon was a stranger and rich asshole so who wasn't around him? Still yet it got Gideon thinking.
"If you were say a client, you would be privy to my confidentiality....just saying."
Idothea thought for a moment. She could tell him. What’s the worst thing that’ll happen? He turns her in? He thinks of her as a murder and revokes the job offer. Sooner or later he’ll find out. Maybe if she’s honest he’ll help and be understanding.
“It’s kind of a long story but it would pair well with a drink.” she said softly.
She planned to tell him but leave out certain details. Her being gifted was to be left out. Anything that would help find his identity easier would be left out. Well at least until she knew she could trust him.

Gideon shrugged in agreement and turned in the direction of the Bronze Lion, "Come along, I know just the perfect place to drink and talk."
They walked mostly in silence to the little tavern, which luckily for them was empty as most soldiers were working or their shifts hadn't ended. Gideon passed the bartender and bought a bottle and two glasses before leading them to a lonely spot in the back, "The Bronze Lion, not top shelf, but the whiskey burns going down all the same."
