The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

Change in how times flows. Was 4 IC seasons, now only 2 IC seasons per 1 OOC year.
5 whole years of Heir Apparent goodness! When I started the site, I knew I was hunkering down for the long haul, but I never could have predicted the numerous twists and turns this roleplay site has seen. Hundreds of plots, characters, and members have come and gone, all leaving marks on the site. I am so very thankful for those who have invested. Because you keep coming back, keep getting on, and keep writing, Heir Apparent has the legacy it does today. Three cheers to us!

Ravin nodded, cheek brushing against hers. He didn't know how it was possible. Despite all that they’d overcome, he was still a commoner and she a noblewoman. How long could they hide from the world, particularly if there were children involved? What would Norah give up to be with him, and could he possibly ask her to?
But those were questions for tomorrow. For now, the dream was what mattered. The dream that there was a place for them—somewhere, somehow. Ravin swayed to the distant music, holding her close, eyes closing as he imagined that beautiful cottage on a cliff.
Norah would ask herself the same questions. What would she be willing to give up to be with Ravin? What could he ask of her? Could they have children? The idea of having a little son or daughter running around, was enough to have her hands hold him a bit tighter. To actually be able to bring a child to term? All of hers previously had been a girl... that was not something Lord Carter wanted. But with Ravin? She didn't have to ask to know that he would love a little daughter as much as he would love a son.
For their future, she'd be careful, but would she have to give it all up for him? She got lost in the beating of his heart, for the answer was fuzzy, and he made her want to get lost in that moment.
