The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

Change in how times flows. Was 4 IC seasons, now only 2 IC seasons per 1 OOC year.
5 whole years of Heir Apparent goodness! When I started the site, I knew I was hunkering down for the long haul, but I never could have predicted the numerous twists and turns this roleplay site has seen. Hundreds of plots, characters, and members have come and gone, all leaving marks on the site. I am so very thankful for those who have invested. Because you keep coming back, keep getting on, and keep writing, Heir Apparent has the legacy it does today. Three cheers to us!

It felt like sometime before Eirwen was able to pull herself back together for Ermir, but when she pulled back the tears were gone but her eyes were puffy and red rimmed. She looked up at him with a look that probably hadn't graces her face since she was a child, graditude.
"help me save myself from me, please..." she pleaded.
The longer that Eirwen stayed wrapped in his hug, the more worried that Ermir got. She was a fighter, he had half excepted her to smack his hands away after a while. So he just held her tightly until she was ready. No one deserved this, especially not someone who had gone through so much.
The puffy eyes looking up at him were so different than usual. It made his heart-break, tucking her hair behind one of her ears. "Anything you need Eirwen. How can I help?" Getting her out of the city would help, but you couldn't just walk out. Maybe in the chaos she could though... But he wasn't sure she'd ever leave this place willingly.

She wondered if this was how a brother might take care of his little sister, it felt foreign to her all together but she didn't shy or flinch. Eirwen had never felt a true connection to anyone in her entire life: family, other Dresmondi, a caravan, and even more recently she didn't feel that connection with the Eldouir that she had...once thought she felt.
"I want revenge against Adeline Eldouir and Tazmin and her cackling dyr...I want to make them pay for making feel less than I am," she huffed perhaps unrealisticly, "but...can...um... Can I...we...stay with you for a few days?"
Revenge. That was never a good start, especially for someone so young. But that was probably what had brought the red heads here, so it wasn't surprising they were inspiring the same. A vicious cycle, he just wanted to ride with the wind in his hair again and forget it all. But how could he leave when there were hundreds of people who needed help like Eirwen did.
Focusing on the other parts of her statement Ermir nodded his head. "I've got to leave on a hunting trip for the next few days, but you can stay especially if you help clean everything like you did last time." Smiling he certainly wasn't going to give her the real reason for his leave, but it would suffice. She would get a place to stay. "Then we can work on figuring out what's next okay?"

Eirwen finally smiled, a real true smile as she nodded, "Of course yes!"
'from top to bottom!' Yule added just as enthusiastic from inside the dark haired girls head, "I'll bring some of my hens so I can make breakfast in the morning! A sleep over!"
They were so excited both of them took off to collect her things when she stopped, "A Hunting trip? You'll be safe won't you?"
"Well I'll promise to be safe as long as you do the same. Gotta make sure you'll be here when I get back." Because he wouldn't put it past her to pull something. That kind of anger wasn't easy to get rid of. Maybe he did helped, at least for now. And when he got back he could worry about what to do next. Eirwen needed more help than he could probably give her, fair or not.
Putting his arm around he shoulders Ermir smiled. "Now let's get you something to eat huh?" Maybe even a bath considering the state of the marks on her face.
