The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

5 whole years of Heir Apparent goodness! When I started the site, I knew I was hunkering down for the long haul, but I never could have predicted the numerous twists and turns this roleplay site has seen. Hundreds of plots, characters, and members have come and gone, all leaving marks on the site. I am so very thankful for those who have invested. Because you keep coming back, keep getting on, and keep writing, Heir Apparent has the legacy it does today. Three cheers to us!
While she had initially paused in the doorway, his explanation on the private room reminded her why she had wanted to come to the tavern in the first place. And it was not for food or drinks.
With a small smirk, she stepped inside the room, attempting to draw him in behind her. "Oh, I think I'll take it standing up," she called, stepping up to the table and lightly running a hand across it. "Where did this furniture come from?" She asked idly.

Ermir stood leaning on the small doorway, head crouched a little from the awkward position. He barely enjoyed having one Eldouir around on occasion, and half the time he was there for less than a second. That was plenty of time in the tavern owners book, despite how generous Drystan had been.
"That couple, they do all kinds of woodworking when given the materials." Everything was a trade here. The table had been for meals, and they still came everyday at one time or another. "It's solid stuff, hasn't broken yet despite the rough wear." Dancing on tables wasn't exactly an uncommon thing, although all the comradery tended to die at this point in the summer
He wasn't playing along the way she was hoping he would, and she turned to stare at him in the doorway, sizing him up once again. She was losing patience and therefore losing interest in her own game.
With a small hmph she pushed off the table, sauntering over to where Ermir was leaning against the door. She leaned well into his personal spacing, plucking the bottle from his grasp and opening it to sniff at it. Her nose crinkled and she grimaced in distaste before setting the bottle back into Ermir's hands.
"I think I'll pass on that too. I have other things I must attend to today." Her eyes raked his body once more before smiling slowly."It was a pleasure once again, dear Ermir. I hope to see you again soon."She tossed her hair over her shoulder and then pushed past him to head out of the tavern.

Ermir watched as she moved about the room, managing not to stiffen as she came close again. Their unpredictable nature was something to fear, one second she could have her hands all over him and the next he could have an icicle thought his eye socket. It was something that played in the back of his mind as she took the bottle.
But apparently she was done for the day, and as he got the bottle back his fingers trembling slightly against hers before taking a long sip. As she looked him over again, Ermir wished for a shirt more than ever. "The pleasure was all mine. It was an honor to have you Adeline." Smiling and trying not to think about how his body reacted as she moved close and then past, Ermir hoped the bad liquor and homely food would keep her away for awhile.
