The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

After debating for sometime about it Valeria thought she might visit some of the Morrigan, knowing that some of her in-laws are married into the Morrigan family names. Valeria know that they produce some powerful witch which in her heart is sad that not more of the Morrigan not apart of the military. With their power, they could be so useful. However, it is their choice. Plus with a lot more free time on her hand, she wanted to try and keep her mind busy.
Wearing a a lovely plum coloured day dress she made her way. It was a nice journey to the Stormview Ridge Manor. Thankfully there was some blanket in the carriage to keep herself warms during the colder months of Hiems, even though she doesn't mind the cold that much she have to think of her baby, hers and Keir's baby. The wonder that is growing inside of her. As she was getting close to the manor Val put her hand on her belly and smiled. "I know that I will love you so much, I promise I will never let anybody hurt you. My precious." Her hand stayed there until they pulled up to the estate.
The driver opened the door for Val and helped our down. "Thank you." Giving them a warm smile as she walked towards the manor and knocked. As soon as she was let in she give whoever answered the door a warm smile. "My name is Lady Valeria Delaney. I am here to visit the Morrigan." Being kind and formal, manners are everything.

There was little to do around the kingdom for a noble woman without an occupation. Gunne had grown endlessly tired of roaming around the court and having brief conversations with people she didn't care about at all. Especially after Tara's announcement during open court, she loathed visiting the palace. Everywhere she went she heard talk of how great it was that the princess had shown her loyalty to the crown and the Rainecourts. It was too tiring to pretend like she agreed. For a while she had tried to come to terms with the rein of the Rainecourts. She had had a very pleasant conversation with Temperance about it and she had also briefly mentioned it to Romulo, but that was all before Tara came into play. No, enough was enough. She wouldn't just sit and watch anymore.
To be able to delve into the family history, Gunne had travelled to the Morrigan estate, where she would look for books and letters that her ancestors had written. She was just about to head upstairs again after fetching herself a glass of wine when the door was opened by a servant. Valeria Delaney was paying the Morrigans a visit. The brunette plastered a fake smile on her face and moved towards the door, practically pushing the servant aside to face the woman. "Valeria, what a nice surprise", she purred, pretending like she enjoyed the visit, while in reality, she couldn't care less for a Delaney visiting their estate.

Valeria has always been one loyal to the crown, she was brought up to be a woman of the sea, to be the woman to be independent all thanks to her dad Hadrian. She takes her work serious and she stands loyal to the Raincourts name. There are times where she doesn't agree with some of their politics, for example only men are allowed to speak at open court and if a marring is failing only the men can call it off. Women are seen to be powerful witches however some areas they are suppressed in what they can say and do. Despite this Val will stand by the royal family.
When Gunne made an apprence, Val was taken in the estate, "Morning Lady Gunne. It lovely to see you, I wanted to get to know my new extended family. So I hope you do not mind me coming round to visit?" Val was always brought up to be kind to everyone, so she wasn't one to fake a smile.

She held one hand on the door while listening to Valeria but moved to the side to let the woman enter shortly after. "Of course not, feel free to come in, you're here now anyway", she responded, a little bit of accusation in those last words although it was barely noticeable. Valeria hadn't let them know that she'd be dropping by. She was lucky that Gunne was at the estate, because apart from her, no other Morrigans were present in the house. "Congratulations on your marriage, how's the married life treating you?" she asked, while gesturing for the servant that she had pushed aside to come closer. "Bring us some wine in the salon, will you?"
Gunne turned to face Valeria again. "Would you care to follow me?" If she agreed, they'd go to the salon to look for a comfortable seat.

Val smiled at the Morrigan as she welcomed her into the Manor. "Thank you, married life is going great, I honestly couldn't asked for a better husband to walk through life with. He truly is something special. How you and your young family? You got two kids?" She heard the name Cortell around the court, espically that of the military, knowing some of Romulo's siblings have joined in the ranks. However they are not as political, they have made their names in service.
Valeria followed Gunne towards the Salon. "Your family have a lovely estate."

Only half of the words Valeria spoke were registered by Gunne, but she nodded. "Two children, yes. But they're at the Cortell estate." She smiled momentarily before heading over to the salon where she settled into a chair. The servant came over and filled up two glasses for them, even though Gunne had already been carrying a glass around. The more wine the better, right?
The woman took a sip and listened to her extended family member. "I agree. It's a beautiful estate. How does the Delaney estate compare to it?" She asked, having looked around the room while talking but now fixating on the woman. Was the Delaney estate even half as beautiful?

Being pregnant seeing and hearing about children made Val more excited to having her first child, as each day passes, the closer she got to welcoming the bundle that she is carrying. Val feels like this is possible the most magical thing in the world, creating a life that is based on nothing but love for one another. When she mat Keir she thought that she wouldn't love somebody as much as she love him, however her heart is growing more in love with this baby inside of her everyday.
Giving thanks to the servant who poured the wine, she softly take a sip, even though she enjoys a drink she not one who drinks as much as her ded. She respected the man and she love him dearly, he is stubborn about his drink. She just hope that one day Hadrian Usher just calm down as she just hope that he will be here to welcome his grandchild and live long enough to watch them grow up. She wants him to be apart of their life just as he was apart of hers.
"The Delaney estate is lovely, just as stunning. I always enjoy going to visit the estate when I can." Keir and Val have their own estate which started to feel like home to her, espically as they was setting up the nursery.

Gunne replied to the words Valeria had spoken by making a doubtful mumbling sound. "Well, what can I help you with then? You said you wanted to meet your extended family, but I must say I'm not sure what I can offer you. It's not like we have a lot in common." Again that little fake smile on her face.

Hearing the doubtfulness in the mumble Valeria wanted to question it however, she thought best not to upset somebody in their own home. Well there family home. She came here unannounced after all, so she can't make them feel like she was ungrateful, as she could of easily turned her away and just explained that they couldn't host anybody today.
So instead Val gave her a warm smile as she sipped her wine. "I am kind of happy that it was you who answered, you seem like a honest woman. I am currently expecting my first child, as you are a mother of two children, any advice you can give to a expecting mother?" She smiled softly.

"Already pregnant, hmm?" she asked a bit impolitely. "Aren't you lucky that the marriage happened when it did." She was strongly implying that Valeria had been pregnant before she married Keir, something Gunne frowned upon. Children were supposed to come after marriage.
"Well, my advice would be to teach them about the real history of Nevermere, and what happened to the Ellis claim on the throne. I mean, lying to children is never a good idea, and you want them to know what happened to their extended family, right?" She wasn't treading very carefully, but it still wasn't too direct. Just a little hint of judgement about the Delaney's loyalty.

What the... She doesn't like what she was implying. "I don't like what you are implying there Lady Gunne. The baby was conceived after marriage." She wasn't the sort of person who would sleep with somebody before marring. She kept herself pure, the first time she had intercourse with anybody was on their wedding day. There was a ting in her heart for her to think that anybody would think that she would sleep with her husband before they wedding, like she love him but waiting made their first time even more special.
When she went on about the real history of Nevermere and the Ellis claim. "The real history? That they was a curse place on Nevermere men, when king Julius took over, but he also created equality between men and women, helped teach us fighting technique that at the time we didn't think was possible. He helped guided us in a direction that without his guidance we wouldn't thought of."

Gunne raised her eyebrows. Maybe she was a bit prejudiced now that she was struggling to conceive a third child. It didn't matter, though. Her opinion mattered more to her than some Delaney's opinion.
She laughed dryly. "If I recall correctly that curse only came into play because my aunt was being murdered." She leaned back in the chair, taking a long sip of her wine. "But I suppose none of that matters now. It's not like we women can even speak up bout it, let's say at for example open court. But to equality, right?" She sarcastically raised her glass.

Valeria laughed softly. "To be honest I am not that keen on women not being able to speak in open court. However, it progress then what it was." Valeria supported the raincourt and she supported Delaney mainly because she loves the man she is married to he was her rock.
"I am sorry to hear about your aunt though." everybody have a family and it is hard and Valeria was sorry.

She was sorry about her aunt? Didn't this woman know the great Sarilla? With her last dying breath she had cursed the men of Nevermere, asking the Twofold Goddess for assistance. Gunne huffed and drank again. She returned to the previous topic. "I wouldn't call that progress. The only thing that has changed is that we can now hear for ourselves what it being said instead of hearing it from our husbands after open court."

Taking a soft breath she most stay calm, "small progress is still progress. Would you rather go back to hearing it from your husband?" Nothing can be passed to them on a sliver plat over night they would have to work at it. "I want to be able to speak at the open court just as much as the next woman, but I know I can't do it on my own. The only way we can do it if we prove that we have a voice to the king."
