SETTING & PLOT
Terra Nova is a vast continent comprised of six kingdoms and a mysterious seventh territory that has yet to be charted or mapped by any known cartographer. The overarching plot has always and will continue to center around Lorendale, a land of rank and propriety, embellished (or littered, depending on who you ask) with people who are able to do supernatural feats, called gifteds. Currently in the story, a ten-year-old queen occupies the throne, her gifted mother ruling as Regent, empowering the formerly disempowered gifteds, darkening the brow of traditional citizens.
To the west, Lorendale's neighbors, Coheed, attacked Lorendale, Cambria, and Dresmond during the fall season. Their efforts were fruitless and they returned to their villages with wounds to lick. Apparently random attacks by gifteds from Lorendale have annihilated whole tribes in the nation of men and have compelled them to hunker down for the winter to rebuild their homes and families.
To the far west, in Nevermere, the king hungrily eyes the Lorendale throne while securing the one he already possesses by means of taking a wife. Nevermere troops occupy Cambria with apparent peaceful intentions, though the circumstance of their removal has yet to be dectermined.
To the east, in the kingdom of enchanters, Arynn Frey, the dust is settling following the government reform the queen forced upon her kingdom (with Nevermere's aid), taking the ruling power from the formerly reigning Council of Five and setting it into a new world order consisting of a Cabinet and a Senate.
To the south, in Dresmond, the people and their spirit animals are laying low and rebuilding following the destruction wreaked by Coheed's merciless invasion.
Winter in Terra Nova has largely been a time of quiet unease in each kingdom for varying reasons. Great change is on the horizon, but the specifics of that change are as of yet undetermined, a story waiting to be told.
