The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

5 whole years of Heir Apparent goodness! When I started the site, I knew I was hunkering down for the long haul, but I never could have predicted the numerous twists and turns this roleplay site has seen. Hundreds of plots, characters, and members have come and gone, all leaving marks on the site. I am so very thankful for those who have invested. Because you keep coming back, keep getting on, and keep writing, Heir Apparent has the legacy it does today. Three cheers to us!
Warren might have given no physical response to that answer, but he didn't need to. That, at least, seemed obvious. The plan was always to target the weakest link. In all battles, you looked for the quickest way to take out the people who did the most damage. He didn't doubt that the Commander had plans for the Eldouir. The strongest witches and werewolves would be aimed toward them. The likes of Warren and his soldiers would be fighting the Dresmondi army, and while the animals were the ones who wielded the elements, the animals were also likely the easier targets.
Either way, you only had to take out one of the pair to take out both.
Warren nodded, and straightened himself back up. "Thank you for the information, and the introduction, Mr. Stormcrest. Your new schedule will be posted by tomorrow. You're dismissed." He was already picking the fountain pen back up, his eyes cast downward once more at the parchment.
Silence followed Ber’s answer, then came the dismissal at last. “Yes, sir.” Quietly mourning the fact that even talk of Dresmond hadn’t caused Woodwick to forget why he was here, Ber stood and made his escape before the lieutenant could find some other way to make his life more difficult.
