The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

5 whole years of Heir Apparent goodness! When I started the site, I knew I was hunkering down for the long haul, but I never could have predicted the numerous twists and turns this roleplay site has seen. Hundreds of plots, characters, and members have come and gone, all leaving marks on the site. I am so very thankful for those who have invested. Because you keep coming back, keep getting on, and keep writing, Heir Apparent has the legacy it does today. Three cheers to us!
If the weather hadn’t been dreadful, Oriana had thought about riding up to Allemeade keep to see Honora right away. Alas the weather had been awful and she had work all the next day. So it was evening before she was able to borrow a horse from the kind owners of the Perfect Fit and make her way out. She was excited to see if the woman had actually asked her brother, and more excited to push her a little, see if the rumors about her were true. Because she didn’t seem scary at all.
Riding as quick as she could, Oriana made it to Allemeade Keep, hair slightly wind blown, but otherwise her normal perfect self. Giving the horse to the stable hand to tie up she made her way around, looking for Remi. This wouldn’t be fun without him. ”Remi?” Oriana was also interested to see what the marks on his chest looked like, not sure if they’d need a touch up.

Remi was at the corner of his property where his little humble grove had once been etched in. However he wasn't behind the thick trees in the clearing beyond instead he was on the edge of the staked piece where he intended to grow and manipulate the estate in which he would be living. Or he and Oriana and Honora...the latter of which he hadn't seen since their short fight and argument. It worried him and it didn't worry him, Bryce and Honora just came and went as they pleased, neither of the two even trying to help him on the property anymore. Still he was the bad guy.
He was alone and was about to change into his other form thinking bigger was better for what he was about to do, but should he do exactly what he wanted with the estate then he would know he could do the same with his school. Anyways, it was becoming a familiar voice, Oriana came walking up and a smile flashed, "Lady Dumont...what a pleasant surprise..."
Oriana spread her arms up with a smile. ”Well get to building and it won’t be a surprise anymore.” All Oriana had dreamed about was marrying well and running a household like her mother had. Of course now she had other aspirations, but the childhood whimsy of marrying a man willing to build their hole by hand was hard to ignore at times. Maybe she could have both, that would certainly be ideal.
”So did your sister ask the marks on your chest?” Smiling coyly she stepped forward towards Remi. Hopefully she hadn’t caused too much trouble, or at least she wanted to be able to see it go down. That was all the fun after all.

Remiel smirked, "As you wish my lady," and then his smile sort of faded at he mention of Honora, "No she didn't, never got brought up because we had an argument about Bryce and me not caring enough that my cousin was yet again gone," he huffed clearly agitated, "I haven't seen her since, but I told her to leave..., her and Bryce can just come and go, but expect me to sit like a good boy while they 'handle' everything. Whatever. It isn't your problem," he wasn't going to ruin his mood or Oriana's, "Since you are here, ready to see me grow our estate?"
As his smile faded, Oriana assumed that her conversation the day prior had done something. But apparently she hadn't even bothered to return home to ask about her? It was really rude, and not what she expected of her in the slightest. Maybe she should have broken her arm or something, that might have gotten through her thick haze.
"I wanted to show her how strong you were, no matter. You're right, not worth our time." Or maybe it would be, but Oriana was much more interested in seeing the estate than dusty old Honora. She could be dealt with another time, and if it was half as much as promised then it would be far grander than what she currently had.
Looping her arm through his, Oriana would wait for his lead. "Let's see your work then Remiel Allemeade."

Remi locked into her arm as he lead them across the property to the small corner in the back where the forest was thickest just where inside his dear sister laid at rest (in the back of his mind he hadn't stopped thinking about Honora; he was worried that she hadn't returned but he knew perhaps she would any day).
Once there Remi let Oriana go and began to undress (not for that reason either), he'd toss his clothes to the ground and stood before Oriana nude. His chest still bearing her name which didn't need a touch up at all as the scaring that took form made the name almost pop out in a third dimension. He gave her a wink and that's when he started to change: it didn't hurt anymore to go through the process of transformation first his skin was replaced by a very old looking bark, his blonde hair and the stumble on his face became moss, while blue eyes turned emerald green, and lastly he grew up and up and up until he was finally in his tree form.
He towered over most of everything on the property and carved into the trunk like chest was 'ORIANA', and Remi knew he could have covered it or transformed the carving but he was proud of the aesthetic of it. He didn't dilly dally long when his arms like roots grew and extended down deep into the earth...deeper...and deeper they went. His arms in the earth fused and entwined with other various roots from other trees as Treemi began to manipulate them into one giant tree seed, then it began to grow and the ground at their feet began to shake and tear...
Oriana let herself be led, raising an eyebrow when Remiel stripped down. She looked at him, her name still carved, spelled correctly of course, although not her usual perfect handwriting. There had been some distractions at the time after all. And she didn't think she could be blamed for that.
Tilting her head as Remiel started to transform, it was something to behold for sure. His strength was like no other, and it showed in this... tree form thing. With her name on it, him, whatever the tree thing wanted to be called. Remiel would have to do for now, which is what she practically shrieked as the ground beneath her shook.
Jumping towards Remiel she wrapped her arms around the tree leg, eyes wide as she watched. This was nothing like what her gift could do. This was grand-scale, this was big. This was one of the many reasons why Remiel was different from other men. He was special, grand, he was everything that needed to match her. So despite still being unsure of her footing, she looked up with a smile.

Remiel felt Oriana cling to him, vines or branches would grow from him so she wouldn't have to worry about being hurt. He hadn't broke his eye contact from his work but he could almost say he felt her smiling up at him and if she thought this was impressive he hoped this would send her over the moon.
What finally broke through the ground was a massive tree trunk big enough that it would take at least sixty people to wrap around it fully. It stretched and grew upward reaching a height of two hundred feet before a thick lush green canopy folded out darkening their space. Remiel wasn't finished he manipulated branches that would look like balconies, others were twisted and angled to look like roofs, and it appeared to have several floors to it. The outside wasn't the only thing Remiel had been molding and growing into the tree house but inside after about twenty feet he pushed and manipulated the wood into a hollow space but leaving the walls thick and strong. From the bottom to the very top the starts of what would be a serial wooden staircase nubbed out from the walls.
It was the start of the Allemeade estate...the hard part was done, he'd work on the cosmetics next but he had done it! Pulling back his arms from the earth the tree that was Remi would gently lift Oriana up so she was level with his head and he would step back to admire it with her.
Oriana watched the tree explode to life. It was... well it was incredible, she had lived in a beautiful home in her childhood but this was different. He was making it, for her. Well for his family but as she clung to his branch leg she felt like she was a part of that. This was for her.
Wrapping her arms around whatever part of tree Remiel was nearest, she smiled at the home and then back at him. "Ours." It felt like what she deserved. What she was due after all the terrible things she had been through. She was meant for big things, and all things considered, this was pretty big.

Remiel lowered Oriana to the ground and started his transformation back into the blonde haired blue eyes Allemeade. Once back into his human form he Began to redress, "It'll need a few tweaks and cosmetic things but she's ready...I've never done anything like this but I now know I can," Remiel was looking at his work very proudly and in his head he could see the finished product (not entirely finished; Remiel had work to do still it was just the shell) and it would be beautiful even one of a kind.
"come on let's go in..." remi took her hand again and lead her up the natural wood steps to the space where the door would go and inside. It was massive and spacious, "I don't know anything about decorating but you do? I'll leave that up to you," he smiled, "if you want to?"
As they went to ground, Oriana marveled at the home that he had created. For them. He had made this for her. No one had ever even bought her flowers before. This, this was special, and she wrapped her arms around his, tearing her eyes away to look up at him for a moment. "Of course you can Remiel, you can do so so many things, and the crown seems to be ready to waist such talents." Remi was better than they could ever be.
Walking up the stairs with Remi, she planted herself in front of the door and smiled coily. "Shouldn't you carry me over the doorstep?" If it was going to be theres, that's how it should be. "And then I can decorate, I've got plenty of ideas." She'd even made drawings when she was little of how she would decorate her future home, but now? Now Remi was giving her exactly what she wanted, and deserved.

Remiel swept Oriana off her feet as she asked, a smirk on his face as he carried her through the future hole in the giant tree home where the door would go. A few workers had saw the tree raise and it was drawing them toward it but Remi and Oriana had done entered. The first floor was the largest and at the moment it was just one big open room, from floor to ceiling it was sixteen feet, and right beside the entrance began the large wooden spiral staircase that would lead to each floor.
Kissing Remiel's cheek as he set her down, Oriana brushed off her dress before taking the place in. It was just as fantastic as the outside, and her eyes darted around, ideas for decorations already flooding her mind. A tasteful chandelier, a beautiful oak table that could seat as many as she wanted, beautiful artwork, there was a lot to be done, and Oriana was finding herself excited at the prospect.
"I love it Remiel." Reaching out for his hand she smiled and nodded at the place. "A place for gifteds, where we won't be called monsters." Giving his hand a tug she raised an eyebrow. "Are you going to give me a tour then?"

Remiel watched her as she looked around he could only guess the ideas running through her head he didn't have to guess they were all good ideas. She truly was something and dammit she deserved it, so did the rest of them their kind. He took her hand when she asked about the grand tour, "First floor is where we welcome visitors, perhaps a library? Those steps there lead to the kitchen," he pointed to a set of steps that went to the very bottom of the massive tree trunk, "I'll section this all off on whatever you want."
From the first floor they moved up to the second floor, "I'll be halving the second floor this side for Honora, a room or whatever else she wants and this side I'll put my office and a guest room," he lingered and so did his eyes as if he could see his sister better and walking between her space within their home. He was smiling but his blue eyes were cloaked with worry, he moved them then to the third floor.
"this floor..this one is yours," he let her take it in, "Whatever you want here," like the previous floor it was a large space but it had the most balcony accesses that connected so it would have a 360° total access to the floor, a separate staircase would lead them to the last floor. He'd take her there after a few minutes of her casing her space out.
"Yes! A library! And we'll definitely need a ballroom, gifteds and allies deserve to be celebrated." She could draw inspiration from her family home, and the rest could come from various homes she had been in. And she was good at sketching, so she could give Remiel exactly what he needed to do with the wood to make it perfect.
Honora. It nagged at her that the woman hadn't come home and followed up on what she had mentioned. Honestly, she would have flown home had anyone said their name was on her brother's chest. But she let the thought fly out of her head as Remiel mentioned a place for her.
"Mine? This is all for me?" He was fulfilling promises left and right, and Oriana hated that she was starting to trust him again. He literally had her name on his chest though, so she wondered if her mistrust was a little less than deserved. Looking around the third floor she knew where she could put every single one of her sewing supplies. She could outfit all gifted women in the highest of fashions and make everyone else jealous. "This is beautiful."
