The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

Winifred only smiled more when she saw the tinge of color on the young man’s cheeks. The old woman read his embarrassment as him being humble. Another trait she admired. Oh! Why was her youngest daughter married? Perhaps she could convince his mother to let her call him her son…
“Whether we start with one or both is really up to how the young people would prefer to handle it. However, I would recommend meeting the young ladies relatively close in time to each other. That will allow you some time to get to know both of them enough that you would know which you prefer and not accidentally slight the woman of your preference by seeing someone else after weeks of speaking with her.”

October nodded thoughtfully. Yes, that made sense and he'd been thinking something similar. The hardest part would be that by deciding to meet both he would be guaranteeing that he'd have to say goodbye to one, to tell a woman that he wasn't interested, and he really didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings. He would just have to be clear up from what he was doing so that at least it wouldn't come as a surprise. And perhaps neither would be a match or that neither would choose him either. Dating was just rough all around.
After a moments thought he nodded again and smiled up at Winifred. "I would hate to make anyone feel slighted and will do my best to cause as little hurt feelings as possible. Yes, I'd like to meet up with both of them if they are agreeable."

“I am more than pleased, my lord,” Winnie made a note in her little book so she’d remember to write the the young ladies that very evening, “I will let them know of your interest, and once I have their replies, I will send all of you a letter with the time and the place,” Winifred already had a few locations in mind. How delightful! This was her favorite part of matchmaking.
“Before we conclude this meeting, do you have any questions for me?”

October felt nervous for sure but also relieved, at least she had an idea in mind, that might get his mother off his back for at least a little while. He also had to admit that there was part of him that was excited too. Maybe this would turn out to be just what he needed to get a certain unavailable love interest off his mind.
"No, I don't think so. Thank you very much Baroness Whistlebottom, I look forward to hearing from you."
With that he would make his proper goodbyes, pressing a kiss to the back of the older woman's hand with a warm smile before he departed, thanking her again.
