The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

Change in how times flows. Was 4 IC seasons, now only 2 IC seasons per 1 OOC year.
5 whole years of Heir Apparent goodness! When I started the site, I knew I was hunkering down for the long haul, but I never could have predicted the numerous twists and turns this roleplay site has seen. Hundreds of plots, characters, and members have come and gone, all leaving marks on the site. I am so very thankful for those who have invested. Because you keep coming back, keep getting on, and keep writing, Heir Apparent has the legacy it does today. Three cheers to us!

Isaac’s fist connected with her ribs, and a spike of pain rippled through her. That was the first time she could feel his strength…though it was clear he was still holding back. Something else struck Regan too; that, in that spike of pain from the blow…she could almost taste the fire again, or something like it. The fire that Cassian has taken away. And it felt good.
Regan would strike Isaac’s other side with more force in an attempt to bring him off balance and force him to the ground.

The longer they kept going, the more strength Regan had behind her attacks. It confused him slightly. A witch wasn't this strong, so there was definitely more to her than met the eye.
She succeeded in bringing him to the ground, but he would immediately kick his knee up in case she was to throw herself on him. If she didn't he would attempt to roll away so he could get back on his feet.

He knew he inevitably would have to show his back, but he was prepared as well and had made sure to have a knee and foot ready to push himself up if Regan jumped on his back to pin him down, which she did. He would push himself up with force, possibly knocking Regan back unless she held onto his back.

Regan wasn’t used to fighting Coheedsman. She was used to wildly outmatching her Nevermerean opponents, having to contain her strength to avoid suspicion. But Isaac was a far different matter. Regan’s wolf raised its head. The challenge was enticing, and Regan found herself starting to count in her head to center herself.
He kicked Regan off and she slid across the ground, seeking to kip up on her feet.

Isaac was having a lot of fun with this fight. It was a bit more free than fighting a fellow soldier during training with a superior, and in a way more difficult as well because Regan was more unpredictable and collected.
They would keep sparring a while longer, until eventually they naturally seemed to come to an end of the fight.
He panted slightly, trying to catch his breath. "You fight well", he said with a little smirk. "Perhaps we should train more often." He didn't want to outright say it, but fighting Regan was much more of a challenge than the soldiers in his group, for reasons he didn't know of course.

Regan was out of breath and her arms were sore, something that didn’t happen too often nowadays. The feeling gave her life, so by the time they were done, she was grinning from ear to ear with stupid joy.
“Yeah, you, uh,” Regan stumbled over her words, “Fight good too. I’m free whenever though…” She rolled her shoulder a little, “I might need a couple of days to recover.”

He chuckled at the way she behaved, and at her remark, and nodded. "The same goes for me, ma'am." It had been a while since he had felt as sore as he did now. "My shift is starting soon, so I'll have to leave you. It was nice meeting you."
Isaac would smile and bow at the waist before turning around and making his way back inside the military wing.
