The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

Helena pursed her lips at Winifred's explanation. She had to wonder about Annabeth Porter's priorities sometimes, she really did...
For a moment, the elder considered remaining quiet about the whole matter. It wasn't really anything to do with her after all, but then Winifred was asking her for her opinion. Staying schtum would be tantamount to failing to highlight potential issues. "If I am brutally honest, I do not think it would be wise for her to seek another companion in her life. Not right now. She would do better to concentrate on building herself as a person, rather than looking for another to share her life with. It's a complication she could do without given everything that's happened lately."

Winifred listened to the other woman’s opinion on Miss Porter, and nodded at each point.
“We are of one mind then,” it saddened her that she would not be able to match the girl with someone at the moment, but it was for the best, “She is a sweet girl, but it appears that she needs time for self reflection for the time being. Thank you, my lady, for confirming my own suspicions. I do hope you do not think me a gossip, but I must think of the well being of all,” marriages were on the line, and Winifred didn’t mettle in the lives of others lightly.

Helena was relieved to hear that Winifred agreed with her. Annabeth was someone who would do better concentrating on her own life from hereon out. The elder nodded. "I hate to be blunt-" There was a lie if ever one did slip past the elder's lips. "She has a daughter. She would do better to channel her energy towards minding the young one, rather than thinking about such things." Annabeth was a puzzlement to the Kane woman. She couldn't say that she'd ever met someone quite like her before. Honestly that was probably a blessing of some description.
"You seem like a busy woman." Helena couldn't help, but note. "I suppose there are many who need your services."
