The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

5 whole years of Heir Apparent goodness! When I started the site, I knew I was hunkering down for the long haul, but I never could have predicted the numerous twists and turns this roleplay site has seen. Hundreds of plots, characters, and members have come and gone, all leaving marks on the site. I am so very thankful for those who have invested. Because you keep coming back, keep getting on, and keep writing, Heir Apparent has the legacy it does today. Three cheers to us!
Ikisina was in the palace another day at work she was doing anything she can to help around on top of duty of helping Florina with what she needs. It been a lovely day so far and she started walking to the office to see if there any task she needed for. For Sina it still feel a bit odd that she walking around the palace without guards but she mostly learnt her way round to where she needed to go.
However as she walked around she noticed a man who brought her to the palace when she was drunk and broken, last time he really saw her she was lost and scared. Unsure what was going on because the man who she trusted most then anything in the world just up and left her, reporting her for a crime she didn't commite and Dresden the man she loved has gone, she heard that Astor dead on top of that so she has nobody.
However, she need to stay strong to prove that she is useful but also stay low.
Tybalt looked like he was looking for somebody or something. "Commander? you okay? you look like you lost something?"
Arynnite armor: The armor have two states: active and inactive. When inactive, they look like little more than ornate metal bracers, easily ignored. When triggered, the armor covers Tybalt and serves as an exoskeleton. It will protect its wearer from physical damage and is practically indestructible.
The armor has a certain "preprogrammed" purpose which is to protect its host. To do so, it reacts to heightened emotional states such as fear and anger, at which point the armor will trigger regardless of whether or not Tybalt wants it to or even if he's immediately aware of the threat. It has some degree of awareness and sentience although very basic and one which struggles to differentiate between enemies and friends. Whilst not actually in possession of a will, the armor can guide or direct its host in a specific action, much like a reflex.
The armor needs to be "fed" as Tybalt has discovered meaning that he must hold and absorb through touch certain metals such as steel, copper, iron and tin, a process which takes a few minutes. Without which, the armor will begin to weaken and become less effective until no longer able to manifest.
Perhaps its greatest weakness is that if being consistently bashed or beaten, it would begin to repair itself by using parts of the armor from elsewhere. For instance, if the wearer is being consistently hit in the chest, the armor will begin to pool away from other parts of their body such as the feet and hands, leaving them vulnerable.

This was supposed to be fun, or at least nice.
The plan had been to take Tobey to the palace, let the lad get a first taste of what life was like. He'd been keen, and eager. Unlike his sister, Tobey hadn't expressed a clear desire to follow in his father's footsteps. He was curious though, and whilst his siblings were studying their history. Tybalt had offered to take the oldest lad with him for a few hours.
The commander tried not to think too far in the future where his children were concerned. Partly because he was acutely aware that there was a good chance statistically speaking that he might not have as much time with them as he would like, but also because where they were concerned, he felt that he had the luxury of being able to enjoy life at a steadier pace.
The lad had been right with him all the way as he'd pointed a few things out, explained how things worked. Then, he'd been distracted by some questions from a lieutenant of the Royal Guard. The time that it had taken him to answer, Tobey had vanished. It was a corridor. A simple corridor. How could an almost eight year old vanish?
Tybalt heard the voice which spoke to him, but was too distracted to register just who it was. As such, he dismissed it as belonging to a member of staff, or minor noble. "Just my son..." The father didn't take his eyes off of the corridor where he had last seen his child. "He was right here..." The man didn't particularly want the humiliation of shouting out through the halls, announcing to all that he'd lost his charge so carelessly.

Sina gave Tybalt a warm smile trying to keep calm he lost a child, well she lived at the orphanage loads of times kids have gone missing most of the time they haven't gotten far. "i am sure they haven't gotten far sir. what does he look like? I can help look for him if you like?" Her voice was calm because if the kid was just there then he possibly didn't get far, also they didn't want to get Tybalt tobe more nervous, well at least she hope.

Tybalt would eventually turn around to look at whoever it was whose company he found himself in so as to answer them. He came to a sudden stop upon seeing their features, realizing that they weren't a stranger to him. Although it took the man a few moments to place her face - he saw so many in his line of work. "Oh..." He'd forgotten about her being reassigned to the palace. "My apologies, I didn't realize it was you lady Navarro."
He would answer her question all the same, finding Tobey being a priority before the lad inadvertently managed to get himself into some manner of mischief. "He's about yay tall-" The commander would gesture down to around his waist. "Seven years old. Dark hair. His mother's eyes..." There was a lovestruck fondness to the statement, before Tybalt realized it wasn't entirely helpful. "Brown... Brown eyes... He isn't trouble, but by the gods he can get himself into it." The commander didn't think the lad capable of doing anything outright bad, asides from running off, it was more what happened to him in the interim which concerned him.

the look on Tybalt's face for a moment put a knot in Sina's stomach, she made an error of judgment. However, Sina has made a vow to never to get close to a man romantically ever again, because for her at least men don't care if they break your heart. however her smile still warm. "I am no Lady commander, still a commoner working in the palace that is all." She wasn't given a title she haven't even mat the Queen. She doubt she will though case she only an assistant and they have no reason to talk to her.
She focused on the description of the boy "All boys at that age are mischievous it just their way of figuring out the world in which they live in. Plus he is the palace, there no other place safer for him to have a little run around." She tries to be encouraging after all she spent a while in this palace, she felt safe. "Should we start looking for...?" She doesn't know the young boys name.

Tybalt was corrected an instant later. He didn't object to it. "Very well... Miss Navarro then."
Truth be told, he was still only paying her half his attention. The commander looked down the hallways. He was listening, trying to use his sensitive ears to pick up on his son's footsteps. The problem about the palace was that there were so many coming and going, it could be a challenge for him to pick any one out in particular. "I'm not worried about what someone might do to him, so much as what he might get up to."
She seemed eager to help, and Tybalt was a little bit too troubled right now to actually think to tell the woman not to bother. Paternal instinct was deeply ingrained within him. "Tobias... But he's more likely to answer to Tobey." From almost the instant that he had been born, the boy had been known as "Tobey" by everyone from his parents, to the servants who took care of him when they weren't around. It didn't bother his father, a man who hailed from a noble house where things were a good deal less formal than most.

Parents love for a child, a part of it breaks Sina heart because she lost Jastiel and also Elliot two men who were meant to be like father figures to her. Well close to what a father be like cause she never had somebody who cared for her the way Tybalt loves and cares for his son.
"Tobey." She smiled, she taking a deep breath she tries to remember her years at the orphanage trying to help looking for the children. His father is a commander so he might look for the training yard he also seven year old boy so he might look for the kitchen to see if there anything sweet he could steal.
Trying to remember the layout of the palace that she knows "the only palace I can think of is the training yard, and the kitchen. Even the garden even though it Autumna it is still nice outside enough space for a kid to run around."

Tybalt folded his arms across his chest, thinking through Ikisina's words. "He ate before we got here..." Granted, the boy had an appetite which surprised even his parents at times - blame it on the endless growing, and Coheed blood - but Tybalt doubted that he would make a break for the kitchens. Worst case scenario, even if he did, one of the members of staff would surely apprehend him, and ensure that he couldn't get into any trouble. Tobey had a big enough mouth that if he was caught Tybalt doubted it would be long before he let slip that he was the son of Lorendale's commander of the Royal Legion.
It might be an embarrassment, but at least it would mean that he would be apprehended before getting into much trouble. If he made it outside on the other hand...
"Lets try the training yard." The commander would start walking. All the time he kept his ears alert, listening for the slightest hint of where his eldest might have gotten off to. It wouldn't stop him from trying to make some conversation. "So... Is palace life treating you well?" The last time that they had spoken had been under very different circumstances.

If she knew anything from growing boys, it doesn't matter if they ate 5 minutes or 5 hours ago, they will possibly will feel hungry and have room for more. She wasn't doubting that he was under fead, however, she didn't bring it up again She smiled and nodded when Tybalt suggested they should look in the training yard first.
Sina started walking alongside him, looking around for any sign of a boy that could be Tobey. When Tybalt asked her about how she was founding working in the palace. "Honestly, it feels strange working in the palace atill, not in a bad way. Been receiving some strange looks, but I just learnt to push them to the back of my mind." She was a gifted commoner with a collar on, of course she will get the odd look here and there.

Tybalt's gaze drifted downwards. It came to rest upon the collar around her neck. A novelty since the first, and last time that they had spoken, and he assumed not one that she would be proud of. Perhaps, he dared to hope, it would only be a temporary measure. Once she had paid for her crimes, such as they were, and proven herself to be trustworthy, then she might be free of it. Briefly, the commander's mind wandered. "You work with Florina Bellerose, do you not?"
The gifted woman had only recently been appointed to her position, and already the commander was worrying internally. He wouldn't let it show, of course. As far as the rest of the world was concerned, Tybalt Zane supported the decision wholeheartedly. In reality, the man found himself imagining a collar, rather a lot like the one that Ikisina was wearing around his own neck.

When Tybalt looked at her neck he would noticed that a bit of her neck round where the collar was is red, a common thing for collars. mostly she been cooling the itchiness with cool water however she kind of got used to people staring well as used as one can be. "I am her assistant mostly aiding to prove that collars are useful and that there are helpful." She explained that was the whole deal after all that she made with the prince upon being released from her patrol.

Tybalt would glance at Ikisina out of the corner of his peripheral vision. Once more, his attention fell upon the collar round her neck. It was a symbol as much as anything. "Do you really think that it will change mentalities?" The commander wasn't a gifted. He'd never worn a collar. His wife had for a while, and he had confiscated a sister ring in the past. When they had been removed, he had hoped that it would be a step in the right direction. The beginnings of a new world had been shattered promptly by the Eldouir's betrayal. It still left a bitter taste in his mouth.
"Well, that's certainly good. I'm not terribly familiar with her myself. I really should change that..." He was going to have to go to meet their new gifted advisor sooner or later, and preferably in private. He needed to know just what that gift of hers allowed her to see...

Sina looked at Tybalt for a moment as she tried to think of the best way to respond, this was her job at the end of the day to talk about Collars and to assist Florina. "I don't think that their mindset will change overnight, they will have loads of questions and they will be scared. Don't blame them, my gift is mild compared to others. However, compared to where we were even ten years ago. It is small but small is better then nothing."
Sina smiled softly at Tybalt, "I am sure both you have loads of chances to meet up with both of your respective roles."

It was impossible not to think of Felicity right now. He loved the woman dearly, but knew of her distaste for gifted. She was mild - at least in the captain's mind - in comparison to some of those who could be found within the nation. "It's certainly a challenge. I want to be optimistic, and say that I can see the light at the end of the tunnel, but it's still a little bit further away than I would like." Tybalt was a man who wanted peace. He yearned for it after all these years of endless fighting. To him the fact that they couldn't get along better was beyond the man.
Still, he was keen not to leave things on such a downer. "If ever either of you need any help, please, don't hesitate to come to me. If we're to ensure that queen Iliana's reign is a strong one. We should all be working together. There has been too much bickering, and self-interest in the past." Yes, Tybalt was certainly still bitter about Noland, and Imelda, and Majorlaine, and... It was time to move on to far better things.

All that Sina can do is give a small smile, "There is a lot of darkness in the world that it is hard to find the light. However, the darkness is scared of the light, so even though it is possibly easier for use to give in we can't. I know the amount of times I wanted to hide." She still want to hide sadly she can't hide no matter how much walking around with her collar on show scars her.
"I will keep that in mind. I would also like to say sorry for the first time we met, I was emotional and drunk. I was confused about what had happened as well as hurt, so if I said or did anything that sounded stupid, i would like to give a formal apology."
