Annabeth normally timid, however, she is twenty-five years old, a mother. she has to start being brave, there are times when she is too worried. unable to be anything but timid. In this moment she learns that maybe she can learn to be confident, she doesn't have to be timid. Annabeth can't afford to be fearful, this world has no place for timid.

Watching as the woman tries to open her up however, she kept her defensive up. She is a lot better at defensive, Annabeth watch as flecther tries and attacks her, and she knocks out any hits out of the way. not letting anything show on her face.

Helena watched curiously as the two women "fought". It was a loose term. A real fight would have been far more brutal, with no punches pulled. As it was, it was a spar, more than a fight, but one which should have taught both women - although Fletcher probably didn't need the lesson - a good deal in what to expect from an actual foe, rather than a brainless, and motionless training dummy.

Seeing that she was up against an opponent who wasn't going to be easily overcome, and slip into panic. Fletcher would take a few chances, and switch into more unpredictable movements, she would dare to take a few chances here or there, just in order to test Annabeth's boundaries.

Annabeth knew that Fletcher was a skilled soldier, the Kanesmen are known to be skilled. Her attacks were strong. However, somehow she managed to managed to block each blow that came her way. Protecting her vital organs from any blows. In her head, she needs to prove to everyone she not a failure, she is worthy, but deep down she is fighting the inner fear that she is a porter in her blood and letting her anger grow.

Noting the slight panic in Fletcher, she made sure that she stayed focus in her movement, calm and collected. trying to keep the woman on her toes knocking her off balance. In her mind she keep telling herself that she can do this, she wasn't a failure. Astor believes in her for a reason.

Helena would give Fletcher a knowing look. She could stop holding back. Annabeth had already proven that she was fairly capable. The Kane solider caught sight of the look for her superior out of the corner of her eye. There was no smile, no clues as to what might have been about to come.

As Annabeth moved forwards, Fletcher would make good use of her speed, and years worth of training, and experience. She would move to grab the other woman's arm, bring her round so as to swing her over her shoulder. The Porter would find herself flying through the air. Her fall would be slowed though, as Fletcher adjusted the force of her hold so as to ensure that the landing wasn't too rough. If Annabeth attempted to rise, she would find the tip of a blade pressed against her bare throat.

As Annabeth was falling she adjusted her body so she landed on her side, and she made sure that the dagger she had in her hand was pointed in a direction where she wouldn't cause harm to herself. Annabeth was going to go for a trip however, she noticed that the dagger was close to her throat. How was meant to defend herself against that move? She calmed her breathing down as she wasn't aware how much energy she just used.

Calm and composed "Good move." there was a soft smile on Annabeth face. She would wait to flecther move the blade before she would attempt to move.

Naturally, the blades would be withdrawn. There was no sense in having them hanging around, just waiting for an accident to happen. Fletcher would offer the other woman her hand. If Annabeth accepted it, the soldier would haul her up to her feet, and ensure that she was standing, and relatively unharmed. "You did pretty good for a novice." It was a compliment, as much of one as many of the Kanesmen were capable of.

Helena would approach steadily. Her expression gave nothing away about just what she had thought of this particular little sparring session. Instead, she straightened herself as she rested upon her cane: "What are your thoughts, Mrs. Porter?"

Annabeth Let Flecther help her up, she was unharmed. Anyway with being a Porter,she wasn't scared of injuries, as she was used to them. When Fletcher gave her a compliment, Annabeth laughed a little bit. "Thank you." However, once Annabeth noticed Helena coming towards her, she straightened up. When she asked how did she think it went, she thought back on the spar.

"I believe I sparred to the best of my abilities and if it wasn't up against a trained Kanesmen, I might have had a better chance. I did more defensive moves, which possibly became predictable. But overall I did well." She explained. Fletcher said she did well for a novice so, that must be something right?

Helena gave Fletcher a brief nod, simultaneously thanking the woman for her time, and telling her to get back to her regular duties. After years of serving in the Kane army, most of the soldiers were familiar enough with their marchioness' little gestures, and signals to know just what she meant, even although she scarcely bothered to articulate it. Without so much as another word, or hesitation, the spectators went back to the tasks that they had been occupying busily only a short while ago.

That left Helena alone with Annabeth. Once more, the elder gave nothing away with her external demeanor. "Well, for a first time it was certainly passable." It was as much of a compliment as the other woman could ever hope to get. "If you wish to keep practicing, you are free to come to this school. There will always be someone here to help you."

First time was passable, Annabeth knew that that was possibly the highest for of compliment she would get from anyone. When Helena explained if she would like to get more training she would be allowed to train here. she looked around. "I'll appreciate it, I will possible do a mixture at home training as well cause I don't believe it be smart to come here that often to train. I got a couple of daggers at home and a few shortswords." She explained. though she doesn't really train with them as much.

Her weapons were of course safe away that Trixie can't get access to them and when Trixie was old enough to train and if that something she want to do. she would possible going to send her to the school. So she's in the best hands.

Helena was about to make a few more comments, and give a last little bit of advice, when they were suddenly disturbed by a new arrival.

A rider from the palace tore down the street. Hooves clattered against the stones. Helena turned her head. They weren't from the Kane troops, but rather a panicked looking messenger. She didn't let any of her concern show, not even when the message was handed over to her. The marchioness read the message quickly. The elder took her time, making sure that she had understood everything there was to understand. Not that there was much to misunderstand.

"Hm... Fletcher. Send word to our troops at the Allemeade farm. They're to move the gifted, and students down south." There were no questions raised. The Kane troops simply did as they were told. Helena would turn towards Annabeth. "The Eldouir have returned. They've taken the palace."

Annabeth noticed that Helena was about to say something. However, they was disturbed by an arrival. She noticed the message from when she worked at the palace, so the hairs at the back of her neck stood up. It made her heart race. So When Fletcher was asked to ask the troops to goto remi's farm and get people to safety as well as the gifted and students, she knew something was bad.

However, as soon as the name Eldouirs came out of Helena's lips they have returned. that they taken the palace, she went deaf for a moment the memory of seeing her baby brother's dead body on the ground. Then anger she want to punch something sobad, she want to punch Hiram in the face so much. Her fist tighten. Annabeth take several deep breaths to keep herself for punching the wrong people. also she know if she even try and go near hiram he would possible kill her. Once she relaxed she try and keep calm."What the plan of action?"

Helena's mind was already racing. It found its way through the chaos, and sought to focus solely on what needed to be done, and how. Kanes moved quickly, and efficiently, be it on horseback or in their lives. She was only listening to Annabeth with half an ear, already plotting what would come next. The elder's eyes drifted up towards the palace. It's upper floors were only just visible beyond the rooftops of the rest of Loren. In there, was the enemy.

The elder reread the message, just to ensure that she hadn't missed anything - although there was precious little to miss. "Well, there doesn't seem to be any." It was a simple, if problematic conclusion. "The Eldouir have returned. Tybalt hasn't said much more than that, and I imagine that the whole palace will be in a state. I have been instructed by my son to do what I can to ensure that order is maintained. In the meantime, we wait." It seemed to be all that there was to do until things were clearer. There would be fear, and chaos shortly, and for the foreseeable future until some sense of what was going on was returned.

Annabeth tried to keep her mind focused. "I guess my current task is on hold until the Eldouir situation is sorted." she doesn't like the idea of sitting and waiting. Especially when she is home alone, she has nobody to keep her sane, go down into a bigger rabbit hole than she already has. She tried so hard not to let her self-doubt run through her head, but it was hard when the man who raped her was in the castle, the family who killed her baby brother.

"One of them killed my baby brother, Luke, he was only eleven at the time, his whole life ahead of him. he would have loved to have worked for Commander Zane. Always going around saying that he wanted to protect people the way his sister protected him from their father." That sister was her. He should still be here he should still be running the streets, stealing young girls' hearts. Yet he is dead. What a failure his big sister became. She reallyneed to change that make him Proud, make Astor proud, and make Trixie proud.

"Anything I can do well we wait."
