RANKING SYSTEM
Here on HA we have established a system for ranking our characters according to "significance" concerning each member's personal desires and plot goals. We want to encourage you all to make multiple characters, but we also understand that while all characters may be created equal, they certainly don't always rank equal in our minds. We have our favorites, those that are just too plot juicy to keep away from threads, and those we forget to reply with when we get on. This ranking system will help our community easily identify how invested the member is in his/her character, which will in turn allow us to hold realistic expectations of the member and character as we progress through the story. Members can have as many lead, support, or minor characters as they see fit. Some may choose to have a single lead, and some may find the capacity to have multiple. It is entirely up to the member, and no other member has the right to decide another member's character's ranks. Additionally, a character's rank may ebb and flow according to what plots are in his/her life, thus, members are encouraged to change the character's rank via the mini profile when it does. Please make note of the expected activity for character according to rank.
LEAD
If a character is marked as a lead character then it is understood that the member playing that character intends to deeply invest in him/her. It means that as a lead, this character is most likely (though nor necessarily) significant to the overall site plot in some way shape or form. Members post frequently with lead characters, usually every time they get online. * Activity Expectation: at least once a week.SUPPORT
If a character is marked as a support character then it is understood that the member playing that character intends to mildly invest in him/her. It means that as a support, this character is or will become a plot pillar, but likely on the side of the leads. Support characters are posted with about half the time the member posts with their lead. * Activity Expectation: at least once every week and a half.MINOR
If a character is marked as a minor character then it is understood that the member playing that character intends to minimally invest in him/her. It means that as a minor, this character does or will hold a certain significance, but it is typically narrowed down to specific plots and is not nearly as significant as the lead or support characters. Minor characters are typically posted with minimally. * Activity Expectation: at least once every 2 weeks.
