The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

5 whole years of Heir Apparent goodness! When I started the site, I knew I was hunkering down for the long haul, but I never could have predicted the numerous twists and turns this roleplay site has seen. Hundreds of plots, characters, and members have come and gone, all leaving marks on the site. I am so very thankful for those who have invested. Because you keep coming back, keep getting on, and keep writing, Heir Apparent has the legacy it does today. Three cheers to us!

I will be carrying on from this post next Sunday (26/06). So if you want to bring anything to Kimora's attention or have your character present in the room, this would be the time to do so.
Kimora was proud of all that had been achieved. At some point in the past, the younger, more idealistic queen might have been quite content with where she had gotten herself and her family and deemed that she could let another take over from her. Once. The woman who sat on the throne doubted that she would ever be completely satisfied... There would always be something, somewhere that needed to be addressed, tinkered, altered or built. There would always be a potential threat to her rule or that of her family...
If they could finish construction of the wall, then that would most certainly help her breathe just a little bit more easily.
The wall and its construction was of course, one of the main subjects of debate today. The others being:
The Peacekeepers and their new equipment
The use of enchantments within and more importantly outside of Arynn Frey
As per usual, the cabinet would also hear from the senate and their representatives, least something need to be brought up.
Shrine Magic
Akagi wields a saga enchanted naginata, that when touched allows the wielder to cast bright red orbs that explode on contact. Akagi can cast single orbs or produce up to four orbs in a powerup to cast at once for a bigger explosion.

The Crowned Prince had been certainly busy, a late nights summer trip was just what he needed but there was a time to be a super secret Peacekeeper and then there was a time to be the Prince. As much as @cyrus had tried to teach Akagi that he couldn't be both well as he sat in attendance to today's council meeting the prince sat confident that he was doing both very well. He was married to the sweetest and most beautiful princess in all of Terra Nova, they had two beautiful children twins, and he was mostly well liked among his people.
Today's outfit was a somber deep royal purple suit with a golden colored vest, he sat watching his Mother as the proceedings got under way.

There was of course much to be discussed. There always was. A lot of which was what would typically be considered to be tedious elements which inevitably came with trying to govern a kingdom. There was always someone, somewhere who wasn't happy and felt that things needed to be changed. That was why they had these sessions of course. The senators could list their complaints which would be taken into account, dealt with or on occasion, politely dismissed as being impractical or not urgent.
There were however, a couple of issues which would have been of particular interest to those listening, regardless of their position or political interest.
The first was the wall. The towering behemoth of a construction which slowly but surely was beginning to surround their kingdom and its port. It was impossible to miss it. A mixture of some of the Arynn Dresmondi and Arynnite builders had been arduously working away for over five years now. At present, it was almost complete. Whilst it might have been called an eyesore by some with its 65 feet of height and towers marking every half mile, it's defensive potential was obvious. It should have been finished in roughly a year, assuming that progress continued at its current rhythm.
That of course brought them onto the next, more contentious matter at hand. With all hands on deck with construction of the wall, the issue of souls was beginning to raise its ugly head. They were required for the enchantments and the kingdom didn't have an endless supply of slaves to provide them with. So, for that reason, they were going to have to be rationed for lack of a better word. "This is a temporary measure." The queen would assure her population. "Until the construction of the wall is finished, all of those who wish to use enchantments will have to request permission from the ministry beforehand. There will of course be exceptions made for certain professions such as the doctors..." This was by no means going to be a popular measure, Kimora knew that and so, it was with the utmost caution that she hade reluctantly made the declaration.
This lead onto the next matter at hand. "We are going to begin an inventory of all enchantments within our kingdom. There are so many now, I think it is important that we know just what it is that our fine people have created." There would be a pause before. "And as a final note, I would like to remind all of our people that it is strictly forbidden to give, trade or sell our enchantments outside of our borders..."
If there were to be any more questions, now would be the best time.
Calliope stood at attention, face passive in opposition to the rigidity present in her body as she stood behind the queen. Her personal interests and opinions were locked behind an impenetrable facade, one that gave not even the slightest inkling of what could even be on her mind. She was Calliope Blackwood, Infantry Head in attendance at this particular meeting, not Calliope of the Blackwood family. Her family ring hung on its leather cord tucked between her breasts under her ceremonial armor, her cloak displaying the loyalty of her position to the protection of Arynn Frey.
She was silent, and would be unless spoken to directly or called upon. She wouldn't reveal her thoughts or feelings about anything announced in the chamber, but she would be committing it all to memory.
