Aestas was not a season to spend indoors. The weather called out to Gunne, who decided to go for a stroll around the castle. The area around her house wasn't as intersting to her anymore after spending so much time near the house with little kids, but the streets of Skia weren't a place she liked to be. Too many commoners, not enough decency. The surrounding area of the castle was much more fit for a woman like her. Not too many people around, and if you came across someone, there was more chance of it being an aristocrat as well, instead of a begging commoner, clasping at her skirts as she walked past.
Just inside the gates of the castle, Gunne sat down on a bench near the wall. The shadows were cool and allowed the woman to rest up a bit. She greeted a couple of courtiers when they passed by, and nodded towards some guards patrolling the courtyard. Lately she's had a lot of time to think, and a lot of that time was spent thinking about her family members. Especially Keelan. She hadn't been present at the family party, but she had heard what happened between him, Regan and uncle Adder. With so much love for her brother, it was no surprise she didn't particularly liked Regan now. She had never really formed an opinion about the woman before, even though she knew not everyone was as happy Keelan was with her as he was himself, but Gunne tried not to judge her brother's actions too much. They had lost their parents when they were fairly young, and she wanted Keelan to be happy. If this meant making dumb decisions, so be it.
Whether it was coincidence or not, not long after she had thought about Regan, she saw her walking by. Had she unconsciously come here to confront the woman? She didn't know, and she didn't have time to think about it either. Gunne got up from the bench, walked out of the shadows and placed her hands on her hips, giving her a strict appearance. "Well well well, if it isn't my favourite sister-in-law", she said mockingly, moving toward her.
[For Regan Lassiter]
