The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

Change in how times flows. Was 4 IC seasons, now only 2 IC seasons per 1 OOC year.
5 whole years of Heir Apparent goodness! When I started the site, I knew I was hunkering down for the long haul, but I never could have predicted the numerous twists and turns this roleplay site has seen. Hundreds of plots, characters, and members have come and gone, all leaving marks on the site. I am so very thankful for those who have invested. Because you keep coming back, keep getting on, and keep writing, Heir Apparent has the legacy it does today. Three cheers to us!
"I'm sure when Kell's older he'll train him well. But otherwise he's rarely around. Not that I would expect anything else." The fact that he occasionally showed any interest at all despite her son's young age was delightful. "I do worry if I have a daughter of course. I don't think I could do the same as my mother, I hope he doesn't expect that of me." The words spewed out as she breathed in the other woman's perfume. An intoxicating scent mixed with the beauty in her eyes, Miriel was thoroughly lost in the sauce.

“A child is a precious thing,” Magda cooed, fingers trailing across Miriel’s arm, “Daughters in Nevermere carry magic in their bones. They’re things of power. The daughters of Coheed are no different. One just has to give them the opportunity.” She tipped up Miriel’s chin so that her eyes faced hers.
“Would you like the opportunity to be powerful, Miriel?”
Listening to every word that spilled from the Nevermere woman's mouth, Miriel head nodded along slightly, although not enough to shake the soft touch. It made her feel special, the only one in the world, and these words and Magda's touch was meant for her alone.
So the answer was obvious as her guest asked more questions. "Yes. I don't want to be ordinary. And I want to protect Kell." Someday he would be able to protect himself, but for now it was her and Izen's job, and she didn't want to fall the same way his last wife had.

“And you will. We will.” Magda leaned in and kissed Miriel on the lips; softly, just enough that it would linger for a tempting moment before they parted. “Come see me tonight,” Magda said with a whisper, tucking a strand of Miriel’s hair behind her ear. “I have something I’d like to discuss with you.”
And with that, Magda placed another quick kiss on Miriel’s lips. “Tell no one about this. About what we’ve done. About what I’ve said.” All commands were issued with the force of the ring and the penetrating power of Magda’s gaze. “Do you understand?”
All thoughts of Izen and Kell flew from Miriel's mind as the Chieftess leaned in and kissed her. Even though it was a fleeting moment, it felt much longer, more important than anything she had ever experienced. So as Magda pulled away a mix of a whimper and a whine left her lips, hungry for more but hanging on every word the woman spoke.
"Tonight." The word left her mouth with a ragged breath. "Tell no one." An awful thought that Izen was never around to appreciate her enough to notice she was gone flitted through her mind. But even in this trance she quickly buried the thought, focusing on the woman in front of her instead. "I hope the sun sets quickly."

Magda smiled.
“Good girl…” She purred, softly brushing Miriel’s cheek before standing to take her to leave. Her eye lingered on the woman. She was beautiful, the radiant, glowing image of a mother and wife. Magda found herself strangely jealous, in a way she never thought possible. She’d never wanted those things for herself, but now?
She pushed the feeling out of her mind.
“Until tonight, dear one,” Magda said with a smile, turning and leaving the woman’s hut. She looked up at the sun, smirking, secretly trying to hasten its descent.
