The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

Change in how times flows. Was 4 IC seasons, now only 2 IC seasons per 1 OOC year.
5 whole years of Heir Apparent goodness! When I started the site, I knew I was hunkering down for the long haul, but I never could have predicted the numerous twists and turns this roleplay site has seen. Hundreds of plots, characters, and members have come and gone, all leaving marks on the site. I am so very thankful for those who have invested. Because you keep coming back, keep getting on, and keep writing, Heir Apparent has the legacy it does today. Three cheers to us!

for @alden
Knowing that starting the new season she will be in Coheed she thought that she would take a break from training to walk by the water. It vary rare to see Zarha out and about relaxing. But she really need this right about now with everything going on. Having to take on the responsibilities of looking after four children. Thankfully in a couple of years time Rajiv can help out so it wouldn't be as bad. However, there still a part of her that feels bad. So walking by the water fels good.
As she walked along the waves she rolled up the bottoms of her pants and took her shoes off as she walked into the water ankle deeped and stand there feeling the water. Closing her eyes as she let the breeze hit her hair .
Alden moved through the water with ease. It had been an easy way to start exercising when he was allowed. And his mother said he took to it like a fish out of water. Of course she also showered him with a lot of compliments so she probably wasn't the best judge. But he was quite good, if you lived near the water that would be best.
Making his way back towards shore he noticed someone on shore, waving his hand so that he didn't surprise or scare the pantaloons off them. "The water is killer today, not too many waves."

She took a few moments to take it all in to clear her mind. As she opened her eyes again she noticed somebody waving her direction. She noticed this guy around as he is one of the king's guards. Giving a small curtsy bowing her head slightly as she looked towards him. "It really refreshing, wakes up the mind."
Remembering to try and be herself and find herself and not be the soldier that she pretending to be and that is cut off from the world around her. However, her face showing no signs of emotions.
Finishing his swim towards shore, Alden missed her curtesy, a good thing as he might have died from laughter and drowning. But he did hear the comment about it being refreshing, something he could definitely agree about. "Absolutely." It was all he could et out midswim, but soon enough he was standing hip-level in the water.
"Are you here for a swim too? Or clear your head and I'm absolutely ruining your peace and quiet?" Running a hand through his wet hair, Alden smiled, recognizing the girl from the military but not much else.

Giving him what would be her attempt at a smile as he asked her if she was her for a swim or to clear her head. "The idea of swimming is indeed tempting, to say the least." It felt strange to try and make a joke out of all this but if Abbott wanted her to relax and try other things that not training, to open up more to accept friendship then she need to realise who she was when she not a soldier. To go back to the girl who was sixteen and not scared to have a little bit of fun.
"Names... Zarha Sliva" She almost said just her surname, being so used to introducing herself as Miss Sliva, Private Sliva or just Sliva. So to say her first name felt strange,
If Zarha was uncomfortable in someway, Alden hadn't yet noticed. He just nodded his head and looked out at the water. It was a crazy thing, you could truly feel alive out there, especially with the waves crashing and risk of drowning always looming on the horizon. Today was calm though, boring.
"Alden, a pleasure to put a name to the face Zarha." He didn't really care about the girls last name. It wasn't one of the names he had been taught to care about, and there was no way he was going to go about slinging his name around. The water was a place to relax, not be worried about manners and nobility.

"Nice to meet you, Alden." Zarha smiled. She thought about walking deeper into the water for a moment. Like she knows how to swim but as she doesn't have anything to change into she doesn't know if she should. "Do you come swimming often?" She wanted to try and make an effort of being more human. So she thought if she get to know this Alden more then she can feel more relax to be herself what every she is.
Nodding, Alden laid back in the water, floating on his back rather than awkwardly stand around with some chick who wanted to be half in the water. "All the time. It's a great exercise, better in the winter because it's harder. Fight the waves and everything." He loved that, fighting the undertow, being all alone in the vast expanse of the world.
"The water not your thing Zahra?" He could understand if people were afraid of the water, well at least to the extent he understood that some people couldn't afford tutors and nannies. It wasn't him, but other people had to live like that.

Zarha laughed slightly as she rubbed the back of her neck. "So you like a bit of a challenge? Some people enjoy doing what is needed to get by." That wasn't her to be fair she enjoy pushing herself. It give her a chance to relax and just be herself. A chance to not worry about what is happening in the real world. Not worried about her parents and to be fair her new responsibilities of being the main guardians of her four siblings.
She looked towards Alden when he asked about the water. "I love swimming. I am just debating if I should come in or not?" She tried to be cheeky.
”Boring people. Boring people just do what’s need to get by.” Coming from a guy that had fevers wrack his body to the point of being bed bound, doing nothing was boring. It was torturous to do the bare minimum and he always preferred to have a little spice in his life. So he sought out challenges and always rose to the occasion. So far anyways.
Laying in the water he really didn’t care either way what Zahra chose, but a wishy washy attitude was something she could deal with on her own. ”Suit yourself.” He looked up at the cloudy Nevermere sky and let the water pull him under, floating down onto the rocky bottom. He could easily stand if he chose but it was easy to think like this. No distractions nothing to worry about but the finite amount of air in his lungs.

Suit yourself? who? what the fuck? However, when he went under Zarha not really caring that her close would get wet she went in deeper and started swimming towards the spot where she last saw him. "Alden? Alden?" She was a decent swimmer, it wasn't her strong suit but with her living in a country near the sea, it was something she thought she should have picked up.
With all her thrashing about it was apparently not the time for deep reflection. Alden would have sighed were he not underwater but instead he rose to the surface and stood in the waist deep water again. Running a hand through his hair he fixed Zahra with a surprised look as she swam in the shallow water. ”So you’ve decided then Zahra? Care for more of a challenge?” If he’d know disappearing into the water would make the decision process faster he’d have done it ages ago.
It was much more fun to have a swimming partner. Races, contests, someone to shove your head under water and see if you could fight back enough to come up? The opportunities were endless and he was smiling already, his quiet peace long forgotten.

When he came up and acted like everything was normal. She felt embarrassed unsure how to respond in the situation like she was worried about his safety and he was fine all this time. So standing up she splashed water in his direction, "Alden I was... I thought you were draining." She didn't say she was worried even though she looked embarrassed there was still a hint of worry that she was trying to hide.
Her arms was crossed her arms as she looked at him for a moment as the water came up to his waist on him, it came slightly higher up on her with her being shorter in size. She looked at him for a moment intrigued as she always interested in the concept of a competition. "What do you have in mind?"
Alden was insulted that she honestly had thought he might drown in water he could stand in. Not just stand in, but have his entire torso out of the water and having a conversation. It was honestly either rude or she didn't have object permanence, either way, the royal guard was wishing he had just kept swimming. "I can stand, you can see that right?" Drowned, honestly, he just hoped this woman was daft.
"Considering you think drowning is possible at this depth I wonder if you're up for the competition." He wasn't about to start a competition and have her start panicking all over again. That would have been brutal to say the least, and he wasn't a baby-sitter.

Zarha rubbed her the back of her next she looked and feel like a fool now. Giving a small laugh. "Yeah that was pretty foolish of me to think that." It was. She should of gave him a bit more time.
When he asked if she was up for the comp she nodded slight eagerness in her eyes. "Of course I am up for this competition!" There was no dept about it she was no baby about it.
