[ For @raff | Night two, shortly before midnight ]
After his meeting with Regan, Othello, and Ber, and his subsequent talk with Ber, Warren made out to locate the next person in the line of power, Lieutenant Terach.
It was late, nearing midnight, but there was no time to lose. When the Captain Commander had given him the the order of installing Princess Ellis as governor, he had also given Warren the order to remove Isolde and to do so with whatever force was necessary. Because of this, Warren had wrongfully made some assumptions: one, that these actions would be carried out at his own discretion, and two, that they would be carried out when he saw fit. Both assumptions had been wrong, but regardless, he had still prepared for the worst.
That Regan and Othello were going to be handling Isolde was for the best, as long as their plans went as they were meant to. Isolde simply disappearing was much better than the Cambrian's watching Warren drag her from her throne. Even if they suspected that Nevermere was behind it, they wouldn't be able to prove it, and according to Regan and Ber, Isolde had made plenty of enemies all on her own. While the soldiers didn't all need to know this information, the Lieutenant did.
With all of that in mind, he went to find Terach. He knew by the schedule he'd assigned for everyone that the Lieutenant would just be beginning a shift of patrol, more or less to observe the soldiers and make sure that everyone was where they should be. He caught up with the man not far from the barracks, and joined him in his walk rather than stopping him and pulling him aside. Warren remained dressed as he had been, a simple pair of trousers and a plain tunic, the sleeves rolled up. He wouldn't look like any different from the average Nevermeran soldier without his jacket indicating his rank.
"Lieutenant Terach," he'd greet him as he fell into step beside the taller man. "How are things looking?"
